Hey, great video. I'm looking to repair my fairing's and was wondering, would you still recommend the paint gun in your description? Also what would you recommend for prepping a damaged fairing for a full paint that still has factory clear and paint coats? I'm looking to fix my OEM fairings, I already reinforced the cracks, just need to paint over the deep scratches.
Hi, ok there are are couple of things to talk about. As far as the spray gun goes, this is a budget gun and will work fine. I used mine to spray the blue farings. I do have really good guns, however I try to use the cheaper guns in the videos just to show it can be done. With your fairings, you can't paint over deep scratches. You have to fill then first! Get a piece of 600 grit paper and rub a section of fairing, If your sratches are deeper than the scratches the 600 grit makes. Fill them before you paint.
@@howtowithkel3352 fill, you mean file right? Do I need to file the whole piece? Also under sunlight did your finished product look like OEM quality? Takes about 360usd to replace my fairings with new ones, im wondering if it's a good investment to do it myself
@@JoaoMPSilva13 Fill means fill with body filler, sand undercoat and then paint. 360USD is very cheap for me. I recently replaced a left side fairing on a Hayabusa. Cost 710AUD around 500USD for 1 fairing. If panels were that cheap here, I would not know how to paint lol.
Kel - found the video. Thanks for the direction. And LIKED this one too. I'll keep you posted on how it goes
Man did a professional job and call it not too bad.
Looks amazing, once you add the vinyl graphics it will look factory. 👌🏼
Do you have a gear list of the supplies needed to paint like this
I like your work👍
Hey mate, really great result there. Is that colour Suzuki Metallic Triton Blue ?
Hey, yes it is Triton Blue 2015.
I'm really liking your videos can you do some more on preparation?
Hi, there is a video on this almost ready.
Nice work...
