This small jackfruit call cempedak here in Indonesia. Has different teste, smell and texture. It testes sweeter, smells stronger and it flesh way smoother and juicier than the big jackfruit. There’re 2 variants, white and orange flesh cempedak. And he’s right, this fruit is one of the sweetest fruit I’ve ever taste. For those who said the big jackfruit has better aroma, you’re right coz this fruit has really strong aroma second only to durian for me. I mean by strong is not bcoz its smells bad, but bcoz you can smell them from long distance and when you touch it flesh, it will stick on you just like durian.

jackfruit is amazing!! in brasil we have two types: “butter” jackfruit and “stiff” jackfruit. we usually use oil (like sunflower oil or other kitchen oil) to eat it because it has kind of a glue that makes your hands very sticky
also when it’s not ripe yet, the skin is completely green and the pulp is not sweet at all, so we use jackfruit a lot to make vegan meat, and it really tastes like chicken when seasoned

It's indigenous to India and Southeast Asia, and it's a common staple in many areas, as in it's part of a meal on a daily or near daily basis.
If you search for recipes on RUclips, most of the results are from south Asians. A lot of the dishes are savory and made with unripe fruits, or savory dishes featuring the seeds, which are kinda like potato when cooked.

Those wild deers love them very much mostly the alpha deer.

Actually cempedak differs from nangka ( Jack fruit )
From where I come from it’s very native to us
Cempedak is a sweeter and more creamy texture where as nangka( Jack fruit ) is crunchier, both are equally sweet but nangka has a bit more tang
The one shown in the video is nangka, hopefully you can come to Kuala Lumpur one day and try both !! Cheers
