It's true. Sandor scared people because he was big, scarred and intimidating. He leaned into it because he figured no one would ever love him anyway, so why bother? But even with that, deep down he still held the oaths of knighthood more than half the knights in Westeros. He defended the innocent (when it really counted), he showed mercy (like when he put that farmer out of his suffering), he helped the people when he could (like building that sept) and risked everything to guard the realms of men. Shoot, he tried so hard to get Sansa to leave King's Landing with him that he threatened to r@pe her, just to make her leave. At least with him, she'd have been safe from Joffrey and Cersei.

The best moment for me was when he was trying to get Arya to kill him. IDK how it played out in the books but in the show it was amazing. He tried to say hateful things like "I killed your butcher's boy, I should have had your sister" and things like that. But he didn't mean any of it. He just wanted to make Arya kill him because he knew he was not worth anything to anyone and all his life he was looked at as a dog. Beautifully sad and well done character.
Does anyone else really want a prequel series just so we can learn more about how everything was before the war began? I'd love to see the moment when Sandor went to Casterly Rock and met Tywin and asked him for service.
Starring Sean Bean, Mark Addy, Charles Dance, Michelle Fairley, Conleth Hill, Iain Glen, Rory McCann, Stephen Dillane, Liam Cunningham, Ian McElhinney and Aiden Gillen... yeah I can see it, but they would have to find younger actors for Jaime and Viserys... not to mention find new actors to play Lyanna, the Mad King, Rhaegar, Brandon Stark and Rickard Stark.
megamovieman101 They'd need younger actors for everyone, mate. None of them are spring chickens and they're meant to be playing them when they're Robb, Jon and Danys age.

The Hound ceased to be a "hound" when he met the Stark daughters...Sansa was that naive innocence Sandor thought he abandoned when his brother burned his face...he realized such innocence surrounded by cruelty needed looked after, which is why he intervened. Naming or not naming it doesn't matter, any human being can suffer from it no matter the year or age.
There was clearly ptsd connected with military life, but probably less in percents than today. Because war was more about glory and little fights(like raiding a small village) was more about looting. And there were so many people who were thought how to fight starting from early ages and fights were more in adrenaline than most current trench wars.
Based on this video, it seems like the Hound and the Mountain were raised to be human pit bulls bred to fight and kill and nothing else. That makes it more fitting for their sigil to be three hounds.

I am sure many people think him a creep in regard to Sansa Stark (I don't have issues with that, but I see why people do) but as a character, he is formidable - and the trusest of knights
***** I don't think Sandor is into rape. Recall that as a boy he was enamoured of the wooden knight, then left to become a knight as soon as he could. It was after he saw his monstrous brother knighted that he lost faith in knighthood because how could they knight such a barbaric man? I believe his attraction to Sansa Stark is founded in part on their mutual fascination with romantic chivalry and knighthood. Sandor outgrew some of that but I think he still wants to fill that role in his own way, only his Lannister masters prevented him from doing so (imagine had he been say, a Stark servant); once he abandons them he begins to behave a bit differently by helping ladies in need (his offer to rescue Sansa Stark, his sheltering of another girl) etc. Then there is the thing with the Brotherhood Without Banners who can't pin a single crime on him that he wasn't ordered (and thus bound without choice) to do by his masters. He explicitly states that he is *not* his brother, which I always took to be condemnation of every aspect of The Mountain's behavior. Sandor is far from a "true knight" in that he's coarse and lacks the courtly manners but he's much, much closer to the behavior of a true knight than most of the men in that show.

I like how he sounded disgusted over what Gregor did to Rhaegor’s wife and kids. He always did have a gentle heart buried inside all that hate and misery
Hmm i think it is way more brutal and violent and with way more hate... But that might be because X-Men is "just" a comic. Also we don't really know what Gregor thinks of his brother. He never said much in the books or series and it could very well be that he just don't care... as he didn't cared much about anything besides killing and fighting.
@@dwightsmith3815 In the comics, sabertooth takes a sadistic pleasure in taking away everything that is dear to wolverine and hurting him mentally. Also, he would like to give him a solid bashing up and leave him on the doors of death without really killing him so that he can take pleasure in defeating him again on another day. I haven't yet read the GoT books, but I have always wondered if the Mountain is like the sadistic elder brother that sabertooth is.
@@hattorihanzo8385 oh okay, i have to admit that i am not that deeply informed on the X-Men-Lore... in that case i would say that the Mountain-Sandor-relationship is not as brutal... or maybe not that "prominent" (don't know if it is the right word, sorry) in the books. We just know that Gregor burned Sandors face, that Sandor ran away very early and that he hates his brother deeply. Beside of that there are not much interactions between the two beside the "duel" at the hands tourney. AND we never knew Gregors side, as i said earlier, he never talked that much. Also i wouldn't say that Gregor is sadistic especially against Sandor. He is sadistic towards anyone he can. It is never stated that he's got a special hate against his brother. He kills and tortures everyone if it is possible.
I loved his road trip with Arya. After this video, it surprises me a bit that he was so sympathetic to her, when she revealed her homicidal side... I mean he killed for his job whereas his dispised brother murdered for fun... Sure, Arya has better motives for her murders, but she's still a lose cannon...
I could listen to him allllllll day! I love him. He has a super sexy voice heehe I wonder, was his sister older than him and he was just so little that he doesn't remember her?
yes he is one of mine to. good news. rory mccann the guy who plays sandor said we'll be seeing alot of him now. so i guess they're not going to kill him off so soon.
bro/sis, I love the villains exactly as they are in all their aspects. I mean lord bolton is a rapist as well but he pales in comparison to a tower of a man that splattered a baby's skull to a wall before raping its mother.
Exactly, and if he dislikes meat for moral or cultural reasons that is fine. Thats on him. However, he should also keep in mind that science has been showing that plants are capable of feeling a form of "pain" as well when you break something off, pluck something, etc. Just because it can't scream, doesn't mean it doesn't hurt.
He's wrong, both are still possibly alive in the last book(or at least Sandor is, his "hound" persona is dead, Gregor might be undead). Not going to spoil the rest.
I may be completely nuts here(as well as showing my age), but between his voice and his looks, Doesn't Rory McCann seem like someone took Ramirez and Duncan Macleod and threw them in a blender?
Yeah, I think he's pretty much hiding. It's been awhile since I read it but I think at one point. Someone refers to seeing a huge grave digger who is bigger than Brienne on the quiet isle, OR he's the acolyte that seemed to like the dog that walked up to him as someone in these comments have suggested.
Well, if he didn't remember her at all, he wouldn't have been able to mention her. I think he was just saying that he doesn't really remember anything about her after so many years. I'm assuming she died very young, so it makes sense that he doesn't recall much.
ok I meant The Mountain, Gregor. I always get the names confused, Sandor, Gregor. That's an AMAZING theory about what might happen to Sandor Clegane, converting to the Faith like that. Where was he when Brienne and the others showed up at that monastery though? Hiding?
AlecPlease probably. It was hinted heavily how much of a scumbag he was to everyone around him thats why Sandor hates the idea of knights being honorable when his brother became one.
Sandor > Gregor The Mountain is a dumb brute, but the Hound is still a big guy by any standard, but also has the patience, discipline and finesse of a knight.
He's on the Quiet Isle he was the huge Grave Digger that was bigger than Brienne. I wonder if his time in the ASOIAF is done, or if GRRM will give us, "SanSan."
Uh... The Clegane line just got a whole lot more interesting. He says "years after" he gutted his first man at 12, servants started dissapearing "including a sister" he doesn't remember. How could he not remember a sister that he had "years after" he turned 12? That's impossible. Even if she was a baby that only lived a few weeks he would remember her because he was already an adult. And why doesn't he mention his mother whom he obviously would have remembered as well at that age? Weird.
I wish there was a way to "create your own civilization" and add your own customized textures. Instead of each House getting the usual upgrades, they would get the upgrades that essentially gives them the same units (stat-wise and use-wise), but their sprites are made to look like the soldiers from the show. Champions, Arbalests, Halberdiers, Paladins, they would all have changed sprites to fit the House they belong to. And amongst that, created heroes as well. With Sandor being the main character in one of the Campaigns. ^_^
You may forget what they look like, but you wouldn't not remember the person at all. Also he was much older than 12 because he said he killed his first person at twelve and "years later" people started dissappearing including his sister... so if it's years later he was probably like 15 or something. I think the person who wrote this narration made a mistake.
And bear in mind also that R'hllor apparently granted Sandor life in his duel against Beric Dondarrion... So that's two separate faiths he could be connected to... Guess we just have to wait and see. :/

Comparible
WWE’s Kane and The Undertaker is another suitable comparison.

Dont be so modest Sandor, without ur brother zombie powers, you could have easily crushed him in cleganebowl, the hound is the strongest clegane
I love "The Hound"
Absolutely amazing!
We waited for 8 years for the Clegenbowls.
What a beautiful voice and Scottish accent!
well done. thanks for the video
Who else loves The Bloody Hound?
man,this is rly awesome :D
His voice... :}
I didn’t know the cleganes has one of these animation vids
My favourite game of thrones story
Ahh gutted mah furst maahn when ah was thahteen
he should do an audio book, i'm not a reader but i would listen to him read Game Of Thrones for sure
The sister he doesnt remember.
Ask Elia how that one may have “vanished”.
Yeah, it's really no mystery as to HOW she died.
voice and style drawings similar to the voice and style drawings of "Dark Dungeons"
Great reading, what a voice!
...Reminder that this man's entire dialogue in Hot Fuzz was _"Yarp!"_
His voice.... Woof I want him to read 50 shades of grey to me
I could listen to him allllllll day! I love him.
He has a super sexy voice heehe
I wonder, was his sister older than him and he was just so little that he doesn't remember her?
GET HYPE!!!
so cool, good way to pass the time till season 4 episode 8
Man this guy's voice could open locked doors
It would open something, for sure.
House clegane name fills fear in the heart of westroes
yes he is one of mine to. good news. rory mccann the guy who plays sandor said we'll be seeing alot of him now. so i guess they're not going to kill him off so soon.
bro/sis, I love the villains exactly as they are in all their aspects. I mean lord bolton is a rapist as well but he pales in comparison to a tower of a man that splattered a baby's skull to a wall before raping its mother.
House clegane - “we lift”
Apollyon would love Clegane brothers
Wow. What a video. What a speech.
Exactly, and if he dislikes meat for moral or cultural reasons that is fine. Thats on him. However, he should also keep in mind that science has been showing that plants are capable of feeling a form of "pain" as well when you break something off, pluck something, etc. Just because it can't scream, doesn't mean it doesn't hurt.
stark is dead,if the hound die it's over for me!
We still have Tyrion!
The hound dies and so does his brother, in the books at least.
websurfin2010 almost dead
RICK JAMES fuck you spoiler,nigga
He's wrong, both are still possibly alive in the last book(or at least Sandor is, his "hound" persona is dead, Gregor might be undead).
Not going to spoil the rest.
Amazing illustrations
Thanks. Do you have the rest of these to put up?(I know you focus on sansan-hence the follow..but keep em coming!)
I may be completely nuts here(as well as showing my age), but between his voice and his looks, Doesn't Rory McCann seem like someone took Ramirez and Duncan Macleod and threw them in a blender?
I imagine this as sandor telling this to Arya
Yeah, I think he's pretty much hiding. It's been awhile since I read it but I think at one point. Someone refers to seeing a huge grave digger who is bigger than Brienne on the quiet isle, OR he's the acolyte that seemed to like the dog that walked up to him as someone in these comments have suggested.
The gravedigger and the acolyte are the same person. Yeah. It's very likely him.
They need there own show
It could be a sitcom
Wait... did the hound just imply that he nad a sister, and the mountian kill her? Holy fuck, this just made me more scare of gregor!!!
So epic they used his voice :D
cleganebowl is coming. Get rekt 420
Smoke chicken every day!
+Technologeek92 **Airhorns**
Aaaaaaaaaaand it's gone.
nope xD
NO!
I'm surprised that Sandor's sister was show-canon. She was never mentioned in the show itself.
Well, if he didn't remember her at all, he wouldn't have been able to mention her. I think he was just saying that he doesn't really remember anything about her after so many years. I'm assuming she died very young, so it makes sense that he doesn't recall much.
2:48 Was he talking about Robert or Joffrey?
ok I meant The Mountain, Gregor. I always get the names confused, Sandor, Gregor. That's an AMAZING theory about what might happen to Sandor Clegane, converting to the Faith like that. Where was he when Brienne and the others showed up at that monastery though? Hiding?
Big gravedigger with a limp who stopped and petted a dog. I bet that was him.
Wait did he say he had a sister that The Mountain killed and it was covered up??
Yep. It was also implied that The Mountain raped and tortured her as well. The Hound was only 9 when she disappeared. He doesnt remember her well.
so the mountain commited incest?
AlecPlease probably. It was hinted heavily how much of a scumbag he was to everyone around him thats why Sandor hates the idea of knights being honorable when his brother became one.
Then his sister was was older than him, I suppose
And when were done , we’ll see how many people still believe in songs and fairy tales 👌👌😂 love that whole video
Sandor > Gregor
The Mountain is a dumb brute, but the Hound is still a big guy by any standard, but also has the patience, discipline and finesse of a knight.
This is awesome.
He's on the Quiet Isle he was the huge Grave Digger that was bigger than Brienne. I wonder if his time in the ASOIAF is done, or if GRRM will give us, "SanSan."
The gravedigger was also the acolyte who liked the dog.
Weird.
He said "barely remember." If you're gonna gotcha, be accurate about it. There's a lot of stuff I barely remember from 15 or so.
“Fuck the king”
--sandor clegane
Sandor. A good man forced to do shitty things.
He liked killing, he was not forced
Have you heard his real accent? It's adorable!
The Mountain was easily the most terrifying warrior out of all men when he was "alive".
+Abiologicalblob:
The "undead" Gregor is still a very powerful and terrifying killer. To me, at least.
the Hound, the man ,the legend
this is too much alike an age of empires 2 campaign intro! I was ready to start playing!
Does anyone know the words to House Clegane?
You may forget what they look like, but you wouldn't not remember the person at all. Also he was much older than 12 because he said he killed his first person at twelve and "years later" people started dissappearing including his sister... so if it's years later he was probably like 15 or something. I think the person who wrote this narration made a mistake.
And bear in mind also that R'hllor apparently granted Sandor life in his duel against Beric Dondarrion... So that's two separate faiths he could be connected to...
Guess we just have to wait and see. :/
Can someone tell me where I can get this written down? a written transcript would be awesome.
