I have a stock and original 1993 5.0L 5 speed Reef Blue notch. I am the original owner and it has 173,000 k (about 100,00 miles). The worst part of the car is the front quarter fenders which have rust. I am going to refresh the car and have acquired original fenders to put on, will put back the original rad (it has an aluminum rad now), fix a few small imperfections in the car, and paint the car. While I have all the bills over the life of the car, I may do a light rebuild on the engine just to replace any worn parts, new gaskets etc. This car was not driven hard but was my daily driver. At least I know where my car has been and that it has not ever been messed with. Another thing about my car is that is a base LX with few options.

Sounds like the perfect car that allows you to enjoy it, maintain it and correct/restore all at the same time! Hold onto it and keep her in good shape.

These cars are meant to be driven hard.( Italian tuneup). I still bang on mine but then again I'll never sell mine. That's for my son to do once I pass her down

Do you want a car that has sub frame connectors? Strut tower brace? Gears? Ford Aluminum driveshaft? What mods are good? What mods are a no go? Tuff decision sometimes

    • @dk2190
      @dk2190 3 года назад

This guy is a bit too much. Subframe connectors are an awesome upgrade.
This guy sounds like he’s shopping for a modern day daily driver.
My car I bought was 95% original. All these years later I’ve completing changed it and it’s got big power, full black interior, etc.
So much more fun to drive and looks way better than a stocker.

So glad I snagged my 92 a few years ago before the boom on these cars I put a good amount of money into her and it's what I've always wanted

Keep it. Never sell it. I'm an original 87 notch owner. If I drove a Rolls Royce the way I drove my Stang, it would have been dead years ago. The stang still keeps cruising along.

Great video and channel. I'm looking at a fox in Canada next week and am renting a uhaul auto transport trailer in case I buy it. How was your experience getting the car back over the border and what documentation did you need to provide? I'm guessing a bill of sale, title, and others? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

My car has never been claimed wrecked..it drives good and straight and has frame connectors and everything on the bottom is all clean and good...but never open the hatchback...cause good luck getting it to close...its an open once a year cause it never closes properly..I've adjusted everything..and still goes on.so never open it.

I found a 1991 Convertible with no rust n all original for 2500. I’ve already put in about $17,000. The engine is stock. The car is too fragile for the racetrack n too much history behind it already. Car has about 90k original miles. Once I’m done with it it will be for sale if the price is right

@@TheInfamousProject i wish i could find out the real mileage of this car its in too good of shape to have 100 thousand on it but its got more then 600 but the gauges just say 600 its confusing its still in the original owners name and title says 6 miles from when it was new and carfax said its sat for a looong time. im just trying to figure what to value it at im getting ready to sell it. a extremely good black 89 hatch 5.0 5 spd all original car only mod is a shifter. still on white letter bfgs from the 90s it looks like

Real question is.....what would you sell it for....fox body prices are everywhere so getting you view on what that 88 would go for would help out!

I’d say depending on where you live it’s a 7k-10k car. I know what 5k car look like and it’s better than those lol

Commenting again, sorry. I think the really clean original cars also have to be low mileage in order to not modify. I have a super clean 91 LX Vert. Runs great but 100k so will it ever really be worth any serious money, NO.

      Taylor Garrard
      Never huh? Never ever
Back in 70’s you wouldn’t buy a convertible if you were drag racing or wanted to have the faster version of that model. Somehow all of these cars are now worth more as a convertible. Every model from the 40’s 50’s 60’s and 70’s are all worth more if a convertible. If the top goes down the price goes up. I have no reason to believe that 10-20 years from now my Vert will be worth less than my Coupe.
