I've got three high priced, ( Good ), .380's. I just bought a .380 Hi Point just hours ago for a truck gun. Brought it home, centered the back sight and dropped nine in my pond right on top of each other at over 200 yards from a rest. Windage perfect, Of course it dropped a bit that far out but went out and shot at a tin can in the back yard at about fifteen yards and beat it to death. Elevation perfect. I feel a lot better having a $165 gun in my truck all the time than I do a $600 gun and it works and shoots every bit as good as the high priced ones do. NO malfunctions out of three mags so far with hollow point reloads.

I like my 380 hi point it doesn't really have that much recoil but mine keeps jamming any tips it's my first hand gun went to the range today with my brothers and it kept jamming after the 4th round but still had safe fun shooting the firearms my brothers brought but we had some jamming issues with my 380 hi point

I don't have that holster yet but I put my hi point 380 between my drawers and pants to see how it would work, its awful uncomfortable from a sitting position though?
I just bought a c9 last week, and it has run flawlessly so far. I love it. If I ever decide to get a carry gun I will probably get a Taurus pt 111 g2. They also seem to be reasonably priced. I definitely don't regret the Hi Point though.
high points are good guns for the price. If you take care of them properly and show them a little love, they will last you a long time. Great video keep em coming.
I've had nothing but good experiences when shooting Hi Points. I had the pistols in 40 and 45. For the JCP40 recoil was just as light (maybe lighter) as a Sig P229 and Glock 22. The JHP45 was lots of fun to shoot, very accurate and reliable like the 40. In fact I bought the JHP around the same time I got a Glock 30 gen 4. Took both brand new guns to the range for the first time. Within the first 20 rounds shooting the G30 I had one misfire and a couple failures to go into battery. Tried the misfired round again in the G30, nothing. Tried it in the Hi Point, bang! Guess not all glocks are 100% reliable out of the box.
Awesome guns. I have 380 and 9 and they are awesome. Check out my RUclips Channel with me busting them. People have big talk dissing High Point but they fear standing behind my targets. If these guns are crap standing behind my paper targets should not be a death wish lmbao.
Thanks for the nice video about the high point. my first gun ever purchased is my high point 9mm and I can say when I first got it it jammed like crazy because of the crappy magizane. I did the the fix on my magazines and the crazy thing is it's never jammed on me once since than I love my c9 and I'll keep it forever it's my home defense gun. I tried to carry it but it's just to big to me for a carry gun. It just pisses me off when gun snob's compare a high point to Glocks and higher dollar guns but the funny thing is no other gun out there can compare to the durability of a high point.....

I bought a used cf 380. I'm having issues. I had hi point ship me a new firing pin and springs also I had a guide rod and spring shipped to me also. All the springs are much longer then the ones that were in the 380 for both the firing pin and the recoil spring. Now it sounds like the two firing pin springs are grinding together when I pull the slide back and sometimes the slide wont retract to the rear to engage the firing pin. Any advice or measurements of your springs would be a great help. Thx a bunch William

I'm going to buy a C9. Why? Several reasons. This is an American company, making guns 100% in America, with American materials, and American employees. They have been making firearms since the 80s. If they were half as dangerous or lousy as some folks make them out to be, they would have been out of business a long time ago. They are a very small company, competing against all the behemoth multi-national firearm manufacturers, and they are still here! I own several firearms from other manufacturers which include Glock, Savage, Marlin, and Mossberg. My most recent purchase was a Hi-Point 995TS and I absolutely love it. So next week or so, I will go to my local gun store and pick up a C9. If we can, we should support these patriots. If being set back about $180 is something you can do, then go buy a Hi-Point. Help keep these folks working and taking care of their families. I'm sure you can find a use for such a gun.
Its the price, weight, looks in that order but i overpayed for mine switched out the grips (ugliest part on the gun) and polished 8 lbs of paint off the slide.. 🔫😉
Really sad that youtube is filled with hundreds of videos bashing this "cheap gun"... Hi Point must be doing something right. I think the Glock Sig, S&W, CZ snobs are butt hurt from spending tons of money on guns that are more problematic than most, and to see the Hi Point survive and function with all the garbage thrown about them is AWESOME !! LOVE MY HI POINT C9, 380 compact, and 4595 Carbine with all the works. They shoot DAMN GOOD !!! RELIABLE AS HELL WITH LIFETIME WARRANTY !!
hold it there I dont bash Hipoint so don't bash CZ but btw i have a Cf380 compensated coming in the mail. But the CZ 75 was the most issued handgun in the world in all its copies and variants until recently it is very reliable and worth the money.
+Shoot To Kill Outdoors I bought a C9 recently out of curiosity and to see their reputation for myself, figured I'm only out $100 if it sucks and I had better guns anyway. I found the following: If you can afford better, by all means get better. HK, Glock, Beretta, Walther, S&W, SIG, are pricey and well reputed names for a reason. If one can't afford better and saving for better is not feasible or even possible and your only choices are Hi Point, Jimenez and their ilk, or doing without and taking your chances By all means, get the Hi Point. Money should never be a barrier to defend yourself and your family.

Shoot To Kill Outdoors Have you ever shot the 9mm? The 380s are the same size as the 9mm. But, I do want the 9mm as well. The C9 seems like a great gun.
+Shoot To Kill Outdoors yes. Jimenez is actually Bryco/Jennings and their reputation, blowing up, lawsuits and buying out by coworkers/family members are well documented.
+Shoot To Kill Outdoors That's what I said. Was saying Hi Point was better as they were safer and had a better reputation and more reliable than Jimenez and their predecessors.
.380 is good for a small gun like a Ruger LCP or a Taurus TCPwhich are meant to fit in a pocket. The Hi-Point CF380 is not a small gun. If all you can afford is a Hi-Point then get the C9. All law-abiding citizens have the right to defend themselves and if your funds are limited then get a Hi-Point. They work.
Before all the cowboys rally around the 9mm,40 cal and 45 remember in the 1 in 10,000,000,000, chance you have to draw down on someone there is more than a small chance there are innocents nearby. One round out of 99 % of all handguns are not one shot stops. And the more powerful the caliber the more likely it is to pass thru the bad guy,or your walls if you miss. This will be caused by the bad guy,BUT it will still be YOUR fault if you accidentally pop an innocent. If you think a 45 is loud at the range,I assure you,if you fire one off in your living room, kitchen, etc,it may be the last thing you hear.I'm not telling or suggesting what any one should shoot, what I do know is that a .380 will go thru two 2x4's at fifty feet, and some of the new defense ammo is pretty nasty. Not lookin for a bitch fight, just something to consider.
alex cross That is very true. It would be better to lodge a bullet into an intruder instead of going right through them like a 9mm or bigger caliber would inside your home.
Possibly the best firearm sold today. Love them NO apologizing. Critics should buy one or shoot one then shut the F up. One advantage to the bad reputation is it keeps the price low. For what it is, Hi Point is priced way low. So I can be grateful to Critics for that favor. I just purchased my 4th Hi-point. This time I have a .380 carbine. I am not dirt poor, but I am Not rich either. I will NEVER APOLOGIZE FOR CARRYING A HI-POINT. i TRADED MY OLD WEATHERBY .270 FOR MY BRAND NEW .380 CARBINE. i'M A HAPPY TRADER. ::)
They are cheap and clunky and there is zero snob appeal. They are like the GM cars such as the Chevy Cobalt and Cavalier. All they did was do the job year in and year out.
Thank you for your video sir. I bought my first gun today thanks to your video and your positive review. Excited to test out my new #highpoint .380 pistol. BUY AMERICAN MADE #MAGA!!!!!
I won't buy the .380. There's nothing the CF380 can do that the C9 can't do better and cheaper, ammo wise. They are virtually identical in every way except caliber.
Ive owned 2 9s and a 45 regret selling them the 45 is a dam awesome gun for the price they are going up in price which sucks I live in Cincinnati Ohio and there going up bad. The cops around here hate them it's a stigma tho.
tengo una hi señalar cf380 igual a la del vídeo ya diario le pido a Dios sin Tener que usarla Nunca} solo la mantengo para Proteger una mi casa y a mi familia} Dios Bendiga una América}
I recommend a 9mm simply because of ammo prices. However, it is foolish to think 380 is weak. Check this out, ruclips.net/video/vaqwQ0OlX50/видео.html nearly 11" penetration and tons of expansion. Underwood makes a 380 round that fires at 1400 fps (its $1.50 a round though.)

Alex Levy i feel the same...they're still around so must doing something right
hold it there I dont bash Hipoint so don't bash CZ but btw i have a Cf380 compensated coming in the mail. But the CZ 75 was the most issued handgun in the world in all its copies and variants until recently it is very reliable and worth the money.
I used to cc the jhp 45 LOLOL
carry mine everyday
+Lorenzo Guice Awesome!

Hi Point isn't a bad gun. I have the 380, in my dresser in case I gotta shoot. Load it with hollow points, you'll be just fine.
Yep! Thanks
Shoot To Kill Outdoors Have you ever shot the 9mm? The 380s are the same size as the 9mm. But, I do want the 9mm as well. The C9 seems like a great gun.
nah I haven't yet but it does seem like a great gun!
Actually you can compare it to Jimenez
I don't think so
+Shoot To Kill Outdoors yes. Jimenez is actually Bryco/Jennings and their reputation, blowing up, lawsuits and buying out by coworkers/family members are well documented.
Jimenez isn't Hi Point
+Shoot To Kill Outdoors That's what I said. Was saying Hi Point was better as they were safer and had a better reputation and more reliable than Jimenez and their predecessors.
couldnt really tell which side you were on lol
.380 is good for a small gun like a Ruger LCP or a Taurus TCPwhich are meant to fit in a pocket. The Hi-Point CF380 is not a small gun. If all you can afford is a Hi-Point then get the C9. All law-abiding citizens have the right to defend themselves and if your funds are limited then get a Hi-Point. They work.
yep!
I agree I own a c9 and the ammo is noticeably cheaper.
U gotta shoot what the gun likes? Are u kidding me? Cheap and picky! A good gun should eat anything
Not lookin for a bitch fight, just something to consider.
thanks for the info!
alex cross That is very true. It would be better to lodge a bullet into an intruder instead of going right through them like a 9mm or bigger caliber would inside your home.
Yep
I'll tell you what, if you run up on me Imma hit what I'm aiming at regardless of what model my pistol is. Let that sink in...
All they did was do the job year in and year out.
every one hit it because of its price point
Probably!
Thank you for your video sir. I bought my first gun today thanks to your video and your positive review. Excited to test out my new #highpoint .380 pistol. BUY AMERICAN MADE #MAGA!!!!!
Right on! Hope you like it
They're accurate, reliable, and bulletproof. You don't have to love it, but you just can't hate it. Utility is in the hands of the beholder.
Yea for sure!
I won't buy the .380. There's nothing the CF380 can do that the C9 can't do better and cheaper, ammo wise. They are virtually identical in every way except caliber.
true!
they beat the hell out of jamez and Jennings bryco
yep!
Ive owned 2 9s and a 45 regret selling them the 45 is a dam awesome gun for the price they are going up in price which sucks I live in Cincinnati Ohio and there going up bad. The cops around here hate them it's a stigma tho.
+Paul Secrest sounds like the same thing going on here in central indiana
Tool box gun
Yep!
tengo una hi señalar cf380 igual a la del vídeo ya diario le pido a Dios sin Tener que usarla Nunca} solo la mantengo para Proteger una mi casa y a mi familia} Dios Bendiga una América}
I recommend a 9mm simply because of ammo prices. However, it is foolish to think 380 is weak. Check this out, ruclips.net/video/vaqwQ0OlX50/видео.html nearly 11" penetration and tons of expansion. Underwood makes a 380 round that fires at 1400 fps (its $1.50 a round though.)
ugly gun... my wife has a 9mm. and man it shoots great! the 9mm is to big for me to carry tho.
they are bulky and heavy
Every Highpoint I've had was a piece of junk
Hmm... maybe operator error... I havent had trouble with mine since I got it 8 years ago, I own high-end pistols too as long as it goes bang it doesn't matter to me
Oh yea
@@martymar6931 yeah....hard to believe you got a whole bag of bad apples ... versus maybe one bad apple but it is what it is
Ok
