just upgraded my ring after 5 years, hoping for clearer picture, and straight out the box there is no battery, I was shocked, I have multiple batteries so the one I use now is always on, its easy to swap out batteries quickly, I can't see un attaching it and having no doorbell or vision while it charging. going to send this back and get the upgraded one with removable battery, will I be missing features?
So I was at Best Buy yesterday I’m trying to get away from google nest. So I had questions about the fish eye effect and they had zero answers aka they had no idea what they are selling. So I came home and watched your video and I have made my decision the fish eye is horrible in my opinion or might be that the Nest Gen doorbell camera was the perfect view
Great video - thanks for taking your time to compare these Ring Doorbell devices. I have read and it looks like, from your video, that the image quality is worse than the older model with removable battery, and I cannot understandf why Amazon decided to replace the rechargeable battery with a device which means you have no doorbell whilst it charges - seems like a daft idea. Does it come with a angled wedge (I have that on my exsting doorbell)?
Thanks so far the only video that explais old and new version...
Do the fixing points line up between the new and old bracket?
Exactly the info I was looking for! Thanks
Glad to hear it!
Appreciate seeing the difference, but I couldn't watch until the end because every time you rang the doorbell my dogs went nuts.
What’s the part model of the new for the corner plate?
Do you find the simplicity of the hook release to actually be a thief magnet? Is the hook proprietary?
