- In 2006 LEGO released 2 Avatar: The Last Airbender sets and the 3829 Fire Nation Ship was both the bigger and better of the two sets. The set included Aang, Katora, Zuko, Fire Bender, and Fire Soldier Minifigures! It's primarily brick based design makes for a unique boat build!

There's always been something special about this set. It looks like a lego knock-off set. Probably the box art and excessive amounts of dark bluish gray Bricks and black plates.

Too perfect
LEGO has grown as a company and so have its costs to operate. In addition account for inflation, as well as the fact that this didn’t really use any complex/ new molds and it makes sense. That ship is blocky and if LEGO was to do a straight up rerelease they could probably charge $60, $70 for this set. But they wouldn’t because it’s very crude.
This is a terrible set though

The Fire Nation? That’s the home of my favorite acting troupe, the Ember Island Players. Their summary of Aang’s journey was hilarious

@Spencer They've made LEGO sets over less relevant IPs. Flintstones, Voltron, Dr. Who, Tron, and that's not even counting LEGO Dimensions. If it comes in the form of an Ideas set than it wouldn't matter.

The printing is correct on thier chest pieces. The instructions at that time just had a hard time with brown, red and black back then.
Correct to the show? Only thing I am sad about is the Lord Vladaf helmet from Knight's Kingdom replacing the iconic helmets from the fire bender soldiers
It’s still difficult for visually challenged or colorblind folks
These never seemed real to me even tho I know they're very real lol.
It's not a speedboat, it's a mini boat that can carry a lot more people in the show.

You mean Katara? Yeah they were using a similar style to the older clone wars sets for figure faces. Although if you haven’t, watch Avatar: The Last Airbender, it has no right being as good as it is, and you’ll wish for more Lego sets based on the series.
This is a very surprising build, even for 2006. Honestly surprised the hull isn’t just made up of larger pieces - kind of reminds me of some of the older Mega Bloks battleship builds. I don’t know why but this build in general looks almost very “un-Lego” to me, probably due to the overall blockiness and the abundance of smaller pieces making up big structures instead of specialised pieces, and the 3D render used on the box looks quite strange! Makes me wonder if they were banking on Spongebob being the winner from the offset.

If you have Netflix it’s on there, really good too, only like 3 bad episodes throughout the entire series. And if you know what Samurai Jack is, you might recognize the voice of Uncle Iroh as being Aku.

Don't feel too bad; I didn't see the show until considerably later after binge-watching every episode in September 2014 from start to finish. It's a great series with unforgettable characters. Didn't expect it to be as good as it was. I doubt you'll be disappointed.
I’ve never seen the show because I have no interest in it even though everyone I know that’s seen it says it’s good & just because a lot people say it’s good doesn’t mean I’ll like it
I only watched a few episodes of Avatar, but i watched nearly every episode of The Legend Of Korra(i like it more than Avatar)
Lego can definitely make an updated version of this, and it would be beautiful.
2006-2009 is peak lego in my opinion! i remember i wanted a Zuko minifig so bad! i used a clone wars clone trooper head and etched away at this eye features and added some red sharpie and for a 11-12 year old i think i did a great job! still have it somewhere at my parents!

then you can have a stable Tower.
PS: I know it’s messing around with the instructions but if it keeps falling off it’s better to have it stable😔
The lion structure is the place where Zuko meditates in the show

I got a haul of used LEGO from a yard-sale, and happened to get Aang’s torso! Never recognized it. Too bad I didn’t have the rest of the figure.
This build is super simple. Just a ton of bricks. I like it!

I always loved this ship, felt cool to have this big ship! For some reason I had all my Imperials from my star wars stuff occupy this ship lol Maybe it's because I had all these stormtroopers and officers and what not, a small army, compared to just have a couple of these fire nation doods with I think Iroh? And Zuko.
I always dreamed of getting a second copy of this set because young me had this moc idea that if I combined the ship side by side, I could make a mega ship.

I've got a lego city fire ship that also has the same weird angles with the instructions. Other than that, I've never seen that sort of thing on my other sets.

WATER, BRICK, FIRE , AIR ...long ago these sets were in stores but everything changed when spongebob outsold them

It's okay, but it's clear that they must have skimped out hardcore on this set to make it as low price as possible. There's so many parts that really, really would have benefited from extra pieces to either add detail or hide studs, mainly the wheel looks awful without some kind of curved pieces, same with the catapult, the little balcony on the bridge looks as basic as you can get, there's very little detail to the tower from the outside, not to mention the empty and boring rooms inside the tower. Just looks like they originally were going for a $60+ set with 100+ more pieces and then decided they have to lower their price and part count as much as possible if they were ever going to compete with Spongebob sets.

The reason the armor is brown is because it’s red dye printed on black so it changes the color. The same thing can be seen on LEGO mercy from over watch, her tan printed face looks grey on the black head piece

It would be nice for them to make new updated versions of the sets with modern Lego gimmicks to replicate bending like push down on a peice and another peice goes up
