    I’ve been a teaching PGA Professional with over 20yrs experience & feel the impact line would be a massive improvement to equipment on sale and should be used by major manufacturers when producing irons for retail.
    I have the compressor Wedge & 8 iron which I use for coaching when I show a client the optimal impact position most often they are flabbergasted as it’s miles away from their own impact.
    Creating a de-lofted square club face at impact is the key ingredient for good ball striking, the leading edge of an iron head is called the leading edge for a reason we need to use the golf club the way it’s designed to be used
    Good work Bertie

      Thanks for commenting, from our experience the Impact Line should be a feature of normal clubs. The Impact Line is a simple tool which endorses what teaching professionals are conveying to their students. It just helps players feel the optimal position and movement which can be interwoven into their pre-shot routine to remind the player what they're trying to do through impact.

    The DST Impact line is genius!!! There is no downside, only the upside of being able to identify the proper impact position every time prior to even making your swing. I would argue that most golfers other than tour players have almost no idea as to where the proper impact position is located. If you as a golfer do not know where this position is, your mind and body will find it almost impossible for you get to this position with any consistency. Just by having and knowing where the proper impact position is located with the DST Impact Line, your mind and body will now want to do everything they can to get back to this position more consistently. The truth is that you will be a better ball striker and player just for knowing about and seeing the DST Impact Line on your clubs.

    I definitely want the DST impact line on my next set of clubs. As a mid handicap golf enthusiast, DST training clubs made a massive difference to my understanding of the golf swing. The impact line makes so much sense. If only my first set had impact lines on them, I would have had so much more fun over the years and less frustration. Keep up the good work DST.

    I absolutely adore my DST 8 iron. It’s impossible for a coach to tell you how impact should feel. Regardless how many times I’ve asked any of my coaches.
    This club immediately lets me feel where I should be at impact and I simply work back from there. 👍🏼

    Putters are covered with lines, dots, ball shapes etc and no one thinks that is at all odd. I suspect that club manufacturers are more concerned that if the impact line improves their club users game they will be more likely to hang on to their old clubs than buy the latest new set in a desperate attempt to improve their game. I once lent my old scruffy set of irons to a chap and on a 200 yard par three with a green 30 foot above the tee box he hit a 5 iron and dropped the ball a few yards from the pin. The lesson I took was it's 99% the swing not the club. I hit a few shots on a simulator with my 7 iron at the invitation of my local golf shop staff. I'm rubbish, they were very polite and positive, then tried to sell me a set of Pings. We all knew it would make no difference at all to my game, I'd just be a £1k poorer. As a golfer in the trenches so to speak my advice to the golf manufactures would be the first adopter would reap the benefit. In thirty years of playing the only real repeatable improvement I have ever made is from watching and learning from the DST videos. I'd buy whichever manufacturer is first to introduce the impact line on their clubs.

      Robert, Thank you for taking the time to give your commentary on what is in my opinion the biggest failing in the golf industry since club manufacturing became uniform, (since the advent of steel rather than hickory shafts and metal rather than wooden headed clubs). Manufacturers have made every effort to improve the materials and structure of clubs but no effort has been made to help the user understand what they need to do to use the clubs more effectively. Good luck with your golfing journey and thank you again for your comments.

    Interesting video. Will there be a product to buy? Strips that you can put on your clubs? And how should we train? In the part of a second the club stayes at impact I probably won‘t be able to see the line.

    • @Dstgolf
      @Dstgolf  Год назад

      Hi Michael, No we don't make strips that you can put on clubs. The concept is that you train with either the DST Compressor curved shafted 8 iron or wedge or the straight shafted transition clubs the CR-10 range, which we make in 8 irons and wedges. you can buy those at www.dstgolf.com. With regards to the DST Impact Line we foresee that the manufacturers will wake up to the fact that they need to support their customers and help them understand how to use their clubs more effectively, through incorporating the DST Impact Line into normal clubs.

    Lucky for me, I naturally found this impact position as I was a baseball player and this feels very similar to a baseball impact position. My problem is I tend to get steep w/ deep divots w/ this position. Could you do a video talking about staying shallow while maintaining this impact position? More side bend? Less lateral shift?

    • @Dstgolf
      @Dstgolf  Год назад

      It’s simple, you only tend to get steep if the ball position creeps too far back in the stance. So be mindful to keep the ball positioned forwards of centre in the stance.

    few questions if you dont mind: is this impact position similar to the concept of compression i often hear about? would more shaft lean at address be a good idea to reach impact? and how to flight the ball high while delofting the club with such an impact?
    thanks

    • @Dstgolf
      @Dstgolf  10 месяцев назад +2

      The ball trajectory while having a compressed impact is achieved through ball position. Position the ball further forwards to have a high softer flight and further towards the middle of your stance for a lower than standard penetrating flight. Hope this helps.

    • @Dstgolf
      @Dstgolf  11 месяцев назад

      Good question Charlie, Its a service we would love to be able to provide to US based golfers but it's not logistically feasible. The major manufacturers should be incorporating the Impact Line in to all clubs to help golfers.

    • @CoryLancasterYT
      @CoryLancasterYT 10 месяцев назад

      But, that just aint a gonna happen. If manufacturers allowed a way y for players to get better, they might just realize they don't need new clubs every year or two. So, the question remains, how do you get your technology and process distributed out to the many small build shops in the US and train them how to run the laset?

    Excellent video but it begs the question.... why can't anyone put their own line on the shaft?

    • @Dstgolf
      @Dstgolf  Год назад +1

      Hi Philip, As an individual you can and should try to put a home made impact line on your clubs. Sadly, during our R&D phase we tried many methods to achieve this. Permanent markers wear off when confronted with grass at impact speed. Stickers don't like the wet and the impact line needs to be very precisely positioned. Lasering the impact line was the only option, and can only be done retrospectively. Hence the reason why it makes sense for manufacturers to incorporate this into the manufacturing process. Thanks for your question and I'm pleased you like the video.

    Is this available in Australia?

    • @Dstgolf
      @Dstgolf  Год назад +1

      Hi there! Yes, we ship clubs to Australia, shop at www.dstgolf.com The frustration is that you should be able to go into your local pro shop and buy a full set of your preferred brand of normal clubs with the DST Impact Line's already built in. The trouble is that the boards of OEM's spend more time coming up with alternative methods to generate new revenue like buying clothes brands than actually focusing on ways to help their core customers improve their golf.
