that analogy with the rope REALLY hit home with me personally, you will never flip your irons once you let that sink in....

Great advise.... Moe Norman also address the club with pointing to his lead shoulder

Terrific! A beautifully made training club. I can’t wait to be able to use mine now that I better understand how to use it!

I understand the concept of pressing the hands forward to the optimum impact position at address, and to return to that lag position at impact during the swing. To take that concept further, why would you not completely set up at address in the ideal impact position (I.e., hands ahead of club face, hips open to target, weight on front leg, etc.) to get the “feel” of that position, and then simply try to return to that exact position at impact. I have tried that drill on the range and it seems to result in much better and consistent ball striking. I’m wondering why I shouldn’t set up that way at address when I am playing on the course

I like this idea very much.
Would a view from behind show a straight line from lead shoulder, through the hands to the club head?
My thought is that the hands would be UNDER such a line?
If so, I think a rear view showing this, or explaining where they should be would be helpful.
I feel, without a rear view, this would be getting many people trying this (without the DST Compressor) and just pushing the hands forward and out creating MORE issues by not knowing HOW to control the face.

Great video. I've got one of your 8 irons on the way. My only issue with the video is that I was distracted by the exellent blues guitar playing in the background :-) Who was that?

Sorry about that, Glad to hear you've ordered a DST club. Top tip is to start small, chipping and pitching and then build up. I'll post some videos soon giving good drills and exercises.

@@Dstgolf I was trying to be witty. The video was great. I just really liked the guitar playing and got distracted. Now if I only had warmer weather to hit the Compressor outside.

I have purchased one of these and it's fantastic!!!!!! Just a quick question though.... does this set up position shut the club face at all? Im a beginner so would appreciate any information.
    Thanks

Good question, No it doesn't close the face it de-lofts the face but its still square to the target.

Hello there. Hope all’s well with you.
I went out the other day with my 5 iron with the thought of having a straight line from left shoulder down to the club shaft, but then moving the hands further forward which delofts the club face angle slightly while not opening it so that it points out to the right.
From there, l start my swing.
Wow, am l making better contact or what! I’ve certainly picked up distance with a lower flight trajectory to what I’m use to. Some questions are, is what I’m doing correct? The other thing I’ve noticed in taking the club head back is that the face appears to be looking down or closed some what to what I’m use to doing. Is this ok?
Lastly, would this work with a 3 wood to driver?
    Many thanks in anticipation.
    Tony

I have watched a lot of the dst videos and have yet to see anybody actually hit a golf shot with the compressor. Please somebody hit a damn ball!!

Wouldn't hitting a ball curve the shaft even more than it is already. Unless it is a shaft which does not flex which would make hitting it a very strange feeling indeed.
