- Playing golf while overlooking of one of the Seven Ancient Wonders of the World was the goal of this Adventures In Golf, presented by United.
While Erik Anders Lang wasn’t able to play Mena House, Cairo’s most famous course with the Giza pyramids in sight, he was able to check out two other sweet tracks during his trip - Egypt’s oldest and newest courses.
Gezira Sporting Club has been a mainstay in Egypt for more than a century. Followed up with Newgiza, which opened in 2018 and you can see the pyramids while you play - most notably on a truly gnarly par-3 with a 80-foot drop to the green.

9:04 is not enough. This needs to be a 30 min Netflix show with a full budget.
they would ruin it, sadly.
Love the series. Have to say they feel like a step back from the previous seasons though. Shorter, less adventures, and more just traveling to places that don’t have a lot of golf courses, hitting a couple shots, and then moving on.
I agree, I absolutely love the series, but I miss more those blue collar episodes...that showcase how golf is evolving...from the slums of India, street golf in Portland, to farmers setting up courses in there backyard free for people to play.
Brother Dunne yeah I just kinda feel it lost some of what made it great. Like last episode they didn’t play a course cause they had a flight to catch. Old seasons had no timeline, just an adventure.
I agree, too. The earlier episodes were quirkier and more interesting, in my opinion. The episodes so far this season have been underwhelming. Still good, but not the same. @@21Swayzee
@@21Swayzee Don't forget golfing in Compton!
@@anklepick9524 yeah, loved that one!
8:08 I think he says “to engrave” which sounds more poetic and relates to his point about the course being a work of art
This reminds me of the Egypt course on golf with friends
Mental note: add New Giza to the bucket list.
What an experience. Thank you for sharing.
This is by far the best golf series on RUclips, nice one!
Please continue this series. It is wildly underappreciated!
Best series on youtube
I love the golf cart screeching to a stop at the 2:30ish mark lol
I hope you never stop making this show Erik, one of my favs!
We love golfing in Cairo, great courses!
I have declared this series the best thing on RUclips.
New Giza is absolutely remarkable.
Erik you never disappoint with these vids I look forward to them every week
New Giza has now been added to the bucket list
Best thing about Tuesday is a fresh episode of AIG!!
that new course looked sickkkkk
One that is a beautiful course
That new course reminded of Oak Quarry in Riverside.. it is a awesome course with a wicked par 3 that drops into the quarry..
These videos need to be closer to 30 minutes instead of 10.
Fantastic videos. Do the world a favour by making more adventures in golf.
Such a perfect prank.
Wow, that quarry-to-course is awesome.
All of these videos hit different
New Giza, visually stunning... irrigation nightmare. Another interesting episode EAL
Really cool, super interesting Erik
Another Great video . Love the channel
Very nice!, Thank you Eric. A few years back we stayed in El Gouna and played the course there.
"Hi I'm Erik"
Me - INSTANTLY SMASHES LIKE BUTTON
Lol the cemetary segment
The newgiza golf course looked amazing. Great video as always scratch.
I'm quite a simple man. I see new EAL content I click it.
That is awesome
Awesome video Erik as usual
Nominative determinism continues to amaze me. Tim Lobb, course designer? Come on.
Playing in a quarry that was used by the ancient Egyptians to construct the pyramids is quiet amazing
THE GOAT EAL
The guy sings through the ball like a pro
swings
Not often do I subscribe to you tube videos as most videos are made for their own financial gains. Coming across Skratch I just had to Subscribe. Excellent work.
Let's play Oak Quarry in Riverside. Coolest design ever
I played that course in feb 2018.. it immediately came to mind when i saw that course.. go play it.. it is awesome..
oak quarry is awesome. best value in southern california for sure. too bad i play like crap everytime there.
Links at Summerly gets no love either. When its brown and dead it is the most fun layout, if its green it's very tough and annoying
Amazing, Egypt looks absolutely beautiful. What a setting for golf!
You should play the many other courses in Egypt
I actually play in the Gezira Club
Great stuff! as always. Curious how you felt the city has recovered from the arab spring?
Great video
VC Golf how's Victoria Lakes looking? That's a TOUGH public track.
I wonder what the water bills are for golf courses in Egypt...
What putter does he use looks dope af
Nice. Any accesable courses near Alexandria?
Not bad considering the lack of planning, budget, or golf course.
The “public” vs “private” is not understood outside anglo saxon world in the same way. Public and private regards ownership, being “public” understood as state-owned, and “private” owned by private entities/individuals. For example in my country (Portugal) no course is closed to the public.
When I visited the Valley of the Kings I'm sure that one of the Tombs had a drawing of a Pharao playing golf........just saying
Ay! How’d you get drone footage?!??
When you're so early there's no funny comments
Sad story!
Time to get creative!
EAL COME TP BLACKBERRY FARMS!
Which football? With the o’s or the u??
As the yanks say soccer
Ahhhhhhh, you lucky duck. I’ve been wanting to golf that course for years now...and it’s closed so you had to golf another course. Shite
New Giza is the best course in Egypt, and up until this summer (shoutout Laguna Lang Co in Vietnam) was my favorite course I'd ever played. Unfortunately, Gezira is probably the worst course in the country and you should have skipped that one entirely.
Hi I'm Erik and i'm a total bell chugger
There's no public golf courses in Cairo. People who aren't members can purchase a ticket and play. So it's public?!?! Erik's tone of voice was priceless. You can tell he wanted to school her so bad and explain the concept further, but he held back.
its a public, non public course, open to golfers, of the public...
Yeah those pyramids are nowhere near the golf course
EAL makes me pregnant
Moist
Goes to Middle East. Makes video 9:11 seconds long
