"You don't keep score? How do you measure yourself to other golfers?!"
"By height."
classic
Come on, Ty, you're an ace. Everybody knows it.
Shots took😊
anyone cringing every time that club head scrapes the pavement?
Thrift store clubs
At least you don't have to worry about hitting it fat....
I'm doing it next week and on the golf course I always take a divot
no, because they're shitty clubs not like anyone in portland is going to be using titleist clubs on the pavement...
Dude this entire video makes me cringe. I had a feeling it was going to be bad but its much worse.
Portland. Home of the other white meat.
"Par is intimidating" god damn hipsters
Shit was hilarious
Dude I couldn't believe my ears hahahahahaha
Given that this is in Portland, I actually lol'd
yeah fuck people for creating something and making their own rules amirite
fun fact, the boomer generation created participation trophies, not us! Quit being fuckin nerds
@@alexgandy2488 only people bein a boomer here is you guys lmao let people have fun
Now I know where not to park my car if I ever go to Portland
"Par is intimidating."
"Heard of a handicap, bud?"
That's ableist
They had me until they said they didn't keep score.
Charles Means it's Portland, I'm not surprised
Exactly, if you don't keep score how do you know who's gonna pay for the beer?!
Pointless... Pretty much sums up liberal America
????????? LOL
You get a participation trophy, you get a participation trophy, everybody gets a participation trophy!
That was such a fun day, despite the rain. But then again, every time playing UG is a good day!
I have never played golf but I love this series! 👏🏻
This show that Eric does might single-handedly fuel my love for the sport during "my offseason." Living in Seattle as an avid golfer has its pitfalls.
Adventures in Golf is an awesome series, a breath of fresh air compared to other golf/travel shows. Love the lighter approach, production and music selection, can see this being a hit with younger followers. And Erik, hilarious and fun to watch, perfect personality for the show! I've watched each episode at least twice and shared with all my golf buddies, hopefully there are more in the making. Thank you and keep up the amazing work Skratch TV!
Despite not keeping sny scores it still looks fun. I'll play disc golf with friends and family and we usually don't keep scores.
This is a game where people hit a tennis ball off of pavement with a golf club, and yet the comments section is full of ignoramuses that think it's blasphemy that there aren't pars and people don't keep scores...
This comment section is a absolute joke. I'm shocked by these people.
It's not that they don't keep score ...he said it's because it's intimidating...fucking realllllly ? Wow how soft can ppl be
Well if they are going to call it golf then you have to have pars and keep score.
@@sonnycalzone7784 its Portland....
@@Later_Doober says who?
I'm an avid golfer in CT. I need to get to Portland. This is part of what golf should be - it's beautiful. And I need a head cover.
Nice, fun and unique. Love the headcover also!
Cool to see Dan on there. His experiment was and is a very interesting one.
I use to play this in college on campus. We called it golfis! Only differences would be that concrete played as a water hazard and either hitting the target directly or ending up within a club length away from the target scored. Fun game and if people didn't want to dig up the neighborhood simply play Tennis Golf which was played with a racket instead of clubs.
Amazing! Keep this up!
Love these series, with Erik! Having much soul in this, when next season?
I started playing this with my son without knowing this was a thing. He’s 4 and we play from lawn to lawn in suburbia. I can’t believe someone has done this already
I used to play this in college around campus
Really great show you guys have made here :D
that was a super nice headcover they made out of your shirt and beanie .. 10/10 would buy it
I've been watching Seamus Golf for a while, and this just made me love the company even more!
I love these. You're funny. Keep it up please. Very entertaining
In October in the rain!
Lmao. Yeah, that's Oregon. It rains here.
We did this in undergrad but we kept score. We called it campus golf and even had a “Campus Golf Master’s” tournament every April.
That homeowner around 6:00 is so chill about it 😂😂
The ending, so good lmao
Can't wait to try this in my city!!!
amazing Series keep it up
This was great!
Absolutely the most Portland thing ever invented no pars and all.
Terrific stuff. You need to cover hickory golf sometime.
Wow
He did
Seems really cool and fun, i will give it a try !
I have that same vans flannel. Super comfy.
I have one of their Driver and putter covers. Great quality!
The guy at the very end of the video probably claps when the plane lands too
I can understand not doing the par thing but you should definitely keep score!
These videos are great ..
I live in northeast Portland and I’ve been to all of these places but never knew they played golf
Even though they dont like keep track of score it still looks fun asf
So original😊
I wanna see more of these please
this is badass. just a good way to have fune and enjoy yourselves
Played a similiar game as a kid "Baseball Golf". Baseball bat and tennis ball...but we had pars for the neighbors trash cans.
The head cover was awesome
Excellent
subbed after seeing this, you're a gem bud!
I live in Portland and definitely had no idea this was a thing
Voodoo Doughnut's are fire!! They had one in Denver.
The best way to tell a tourist in portland, the guy with the umbrella.
I can't believe were playing this in the rain! Yup welcome to Portland.
Leftists: dont assume my gender
Golf hole in portland: dont assume my par
They said the pars were too “intimidating” lmao
Hipsters in portland are insufferable...love the video but just play golf on grass lol
Also, they’re fucking pussies
Wtf lol love it 😂
So underrated
I AM WAAAAAAAAAY TO COMPETITIVE FOR THIS TYPE OF "GOLF"
I thought the same thing. I’ve been golfing for 6 months now, and I have to keep strict score.
Seems like you would really have to shallow out your swing to not take an asfalt divot every time. But I like this concept of free golf
The head cover was the cherry on top.
Awesome
love this channel
I died whenever it hits the pavement
that was a CRISP DAP
I used to play like this in my yard. The trees were the holes.
I first saw this on an Airplane 😂
The goodwill is next to my house. Lol I believe in par
keepin’ it weird!
Too mainstream to keep score these days. Lmao!
It 100% is. You can not do anything to make people feel bad or not like they are winners. That’s white supremacy and toxic masculinity.
TJ G you’re joking right ?
leftist pussys
They didn't say they dont keep score, they said theres no pars. I bet if they game developed more than most players would start to understand the purpose of having pars, but to a new player they can seem very redundant. "Why play "against the course" when we're already playing against eachother?"
@@leobowman8149 they literally said "we dont keep score" lmfao.
Fun fact, that unknown local donut shop from the end of the video just got a new location in Universal Studios Orlando. They make a hell of a donut lol
I could never deal with all that rain....how depressing
why am I not surprised something like this is taking place in Portland. LOL
Lol we used to drunkenly play urban golf a lot in college. Broke a few windows and porches, luckily never hit anyone
We don't put pars on things because people thought it was intimidating... If that's not the most Portland thing I've ever heard
everyone gets a trophy!
I live in Portland and have never heard of this
Tater 5848 you have now
Lol, "Dan The Plan"
haha i was like wut..
Ive live in and around portland my entire life. Anyone who thinks they know how people in portland are and have never been here are wrong. Portland has the most diverse people that you can be anyone and fit in practically anywhere. Portland accepts you for who you are, free to be you without being judged. Keep ptown weird baby
I'd say use a hockey stick lol
Omg I though this was a Portlandia sketch at first...
We don’t put a par on things cuz they might find it intimidating?... that is definitely Portland for ya
Urban golf never caught on with my group of friends. Someone always had a warrant or two, if memory serves.
So sorry to hear all of your holes have been burned down
This gives me anxiety for so many reasons
This seems like the definition of liberty. no strict confines, only par is the par of happiness. loosen up folks. we can keep score at the "real" course.
"It's funny. I have a hole in one insurance in Japan!" Spoilers! The Japan Episode came out later! :D
Hey at least you would get good at hitting of cart paths
Or city streets with old clubs and tennis balls
This is the most Portland thing ive ever seen...
phil mickelson would be insane at this
That's where "The Dan Plan" went...was wondering what happened to him
Admiral Akbar lives!
He said keeping score is and calling them birdies is intimidating ...yes you get shamed for that on the east coast hahahaha
In England, when we get drunk and smack golf balls around houses, we get arrested
Par intimidating people is the most Portland thing I’ve ever heard. But if it’s the only course they play no real need
Hitting those irons off the asphalt made me cringe. That's why you get relief from cart paths in real golf.
Y'all can just shut up about keeping score. Not all of them play golf normally and treat it like top golf. Let them just have fun with the game. They all seem like nice people.
Nehemiah Snyder shut your mouth hippie
No they seem like a bunch of pathetic losers who still live in their parents house and couldn’t actually win a single round of golf so they made up a bastardized version of the game so they could feel like winners even though not a one of them is.
The outfit you wore when you got your head cover made. Was that intentional?
I have lived in Portland my whole 15 years and have never heard about this.... Cool
I love this type of videos. Keep it up
I love all the weekend hackers in the comments getting triggered about the "no par" and friendliness of this game
pars are intimidating
holy shit. Dan Mcglaughlin. I thought he died trying to become a professional golfer
Which hole do you stop at to throw fireworks at the federal buildings?
Never been on golf course before, has Taylor Made bag
$10 thrift store buy...
