- Today we take a quick look at my new amp, the Mesa Boogie Rectoverb 25! This was the most fun I've had doing a demo in months, seriously. Let me know what you think about my idea to prioritize analog amps for the channel demos over the virtual stuff!
Below are some affiliate links, don't buy stuff you don't need but if you're going to ignore me at least use one of these to do so it would really help the channel!

someone doing an amp review and focusing on rhythm is ultra refreshing.
This amp sounds killer, but that Jaguar is the real winner here. I need a Jag in my life.
duesenberg interest you at all?
I’ve been looking for a two channel amp with a tube reverb that will sound good with my strat but also have some major balls with my Les Paul…. I think I’ve found it 🎉
I hear the purple Mesa's have better tone than the other colors.
Super demo Jim! This is what a demo should be. Love the amp, really love the purple! You didn’t just show off the amp, you really made the guitars shine as well. That reverb is something else.
Really cool guitars and playing, bro. Tell me if you like anything I make... 🤷🤷♂🤷♀
Unfortunately, I don’t know of ANY Mesa amp where you can switch between different modes on the same channel. I have the same problem with my Mark V:25. The clean and crunch are both on channel 1 and they are both excellent, but you can only channel switch, not mode switch. I think Mesa would have to do some sort of electronic implementation (MIDI?) to make this happen. I guess then, you’re really just making a 4 (or 6) channel amp with shared controls.
While I don’t own a Mesa Boogie. The tube amp world is where I live. I’m not a musician just a house player or jam with friends guy. Love all your videos but when you talk all the other computer stuff it may as well be a foreign language. Tube amp in the room is all I know. I forgot about the noise thing actually. I usually can play as loud as I want to. I do feel for people who don’t experience that on a daily basis! Love that Mustang Jim!!
Great player 👏
Great what you got outof a Jaguar! Wonderfull tones! I never thought that this is possible.
Good to see you come clean!
Holy Shiiiii 🤩 I think I need this amp in my life - it sounds great in soooo many settings, looks a bunch of fun.
I used to have this in the head format and I loved it. Sadly I sold it for financial reasons, but I'll probably pick it up again one day
Nice to hear a different aspect of this mesa amp
That sounds awesome man!
Solid vid, thanks!
It sounds great!
I've got the head and two matching 1x12's. While I love the cleans with reverb, I agree the real surprise lurking in this amp is the "pushed" mode. It goes from mild, touch-sensitive overdrive to early Plexiglass Marshall with the gain maxed (nails early AC/DC tones).
Beautiful amp
