    if i can only bring one i would grab my Kiesel Osiris, reasons are it is extremely easy to play, never fights you, it has dual vintage style A2 buckers for the Gibsony stuff but also has coil splits for single coils stuff. It has a rock solid Hipshot trem and a Piezo system for acoustic stuff, it is also headless so the case is tiny and perfect for travel.

    I'm late to "the show" but if I could take only 1 guitar to a session, I'd take my 2004 MIM Strat, SSS, with a Hot Rails in the bridge position, and tone 2 for that pickup. It's a workhorse and has never failed me.

    The guitars sounded the same except for 2 or so examples you did, where the blue one clearly hand a more present tone hearing each string. The orange sounded like it was more high output and hot pickups more muddled when distorted and the custom shops tone really cuts through when overdriven, lots of nice punchy notes. I have one guitar with custom shop pickups and It has lots of nice nuance to the sound quality.

    The recorded tones sounded great. Didn’t sound dark. I heard plenty of top end detail and sparkle. If anything, I thought you were gonna say the rhythm channel sounded thin, which it did to me, not bad, just thin. The tweed channel thickened and added a bit of gain, and lead channel was hairy and rocking. Reverb sounded like plenty at 5, so I wouldn’t feel the need to turn it higher. I have owned this amp, btw, and thought it was versatile and great. And as you said, its own thing. For instance you didn’t even get into the low input or the attenuation.

    • @AudiomoMusic
      @AudiomoMusic День назад

      Yeah I think there are great sounds in it, but the reverb design was clearly poor and Tone King themselves even with three different chances couldn't fix the problem. Unfortunately that didn't leave me with much confidence to want to try anything else from them at the time and I ended up returning this, selling my Gremlin, and picking up a Dr. Z. I had made several videos about the attenuator both in the gremlin and the iron man ii itself as a stand alone unit and really wanted to focus on the design flaw of this revision of the amp. I'd like to give the imperial a go at some point, but I think it'd be worth the extra money to get one of the original ones before the company changed.

    Mate the GROUND connection for the input jack is the soldered coax wire you're literally ZOOMING in on at 12:30 not some lock washer.... Also, where's the hum you mention? Can you please show us where in the video we can hear that because I think I missed it... A quick google search on Psionic Audio and all I find is tons of people on reddit and gear forums bashing that guy for fraud and being a scamster, maybe not the best person to be citing for your channel. His entire channel is clickbait at best which is a VERY similar feeling I got watching this.

    • @AudiomoMusic
      @AudiomoMusic День назад

      Amp guru and you don't understand why this is a problem? Since the ground has to be made to the chassis not having a threaded lock washer prevents you from making a secure ground that will not easily come loose. I'm an idiot and even I know that. The hum was everywhere, but when mic'ing with a 57 you will never hear it the same way as you will in the room.... "A quick google search shows". Brother I linked multiple videos that show the full on gut shots and repair videos of these amps and him pointing out every penny that was pinched and why they are prone to failure. When an independent amp tech that has been doing this for three decades and can expertly explain the good and bad about the design of an amplifier and is trusted by people like Dave Friedman and world touring acts I'm gonna go ahead and listen to what they have to say over what randoms on reddit say. At the end of the day you want to buy these cash grab nostalgia brand amps that are not made with the customer in mind that's your perrogative. Doesn't change the fact they are built like garbage.

    Lee NEVER favored the Victory over any other amps!

    • @AudiomoMusic
      @AudiomoMusic 4 дня назад

      i like victory amps. martin designs quality stuff at various price points. i think what lee did by just conveniently not stating he had a vested interest in the sales of the brand is by no means as bad as what other brands ( think supro ) do by offering just garbage products however... It takes all of the credibility of the reviews away since clearly everyone behind the scenes knew that he did in fact have a say and let's face it - there are definitely people on the internet that will buy whatever someone they like is selling and there were absolutely instances where they swayed one way whether truthfully or not, we'll never know.

    • @srh361
      @srh361 4 дня назад

      @AudiomoMusic I have to respectfully disagree as I went back and watched some of Andertons videos containing Victory and more times than not Lee shied away from even going into detail about Victory. Anyway just because I disagree doesn't mean I don't like your channel but I have to ask to not let KDH persuade this channel as I'm NOT a fan of the way he does his channel by calling people out.

    • @AudiomoMusic
      @AudiomoMusic 4 дня назад

      @srh361 Again, I like Lee but we are remembering things differently. I doubt Victory would have been featured even 1/4 the amount it was if Lee wasn’t a part an investor. I don’t care for “drama” channels on RUclips but this was an interesting topic because there was no rational reason for Lee to not just say from day one he was directly involved. Again, much rather support Victory as the products aren’t built to fail like so many modern brands.

    • @srh361
      @srh361 4 дня назад

      @AudiomoMusic You're absolutely right that Victory probably wouldn't have been featured as much but that's not what I/we were talking about, the conversation was about him giving praise to Victory over the other amps he "featured" and I was saying he never did that plus it wasn't about remembering because you can go back and watch the videos that have Victory Amps in them any time and Lee isn't praising Victory any more than the other amps. Lee was in a no win situation because had he came right out and mentioned he was involved then in his mind he's probably thinking it's Chapman guitars all over and he gets slammed for pushing a brand he's involved with all over so he wanted the brand to have merit on it's own and I can understand and give him props for that and I don't understand why so many people have an issue with it? Just imagine yourself in that situation and how you would handle it cause like I was saying about Chapman, he can't even promote Chapman on Andertons channel without all the trolls coming out. Personally yes, I found Victory through Andertons channel and I now own five of their amps but Lee himself had absolutely nothing to do with persuading me to buy them as I was blown away at how great they sounded and the price point they sat in AND being built in the UK. I mean it wasn't hard to figure out who the company was cause they had Lee, Rob, Mick from That Pedal Show, Pete Honore and Rabea in all the demonstration videos so I suspected right off he was involved but he didn't persuade my decision to go with Victory one bit but he did introduce me to the brand.

    • @AudiomoMusic
      @AudiomoMusic 4 дня назад

      @srh361 I get what you’re saying but you just proved my point - if Lee didn’t feature them so much with them being a relatively unknown brand to many you’d have never found them in the first place. That in itself is a problem when you realize he in fact had a damn good self serving reason for putting them in so many videos for so many years. I’m happy you have them and I stand by what I said about Martin being a great designer and builder of amps. Just wish Lee would have been honest from day one and let the amps quality speak for itself. Chapman has nothing to do with any of this bringing him up is irrelevant.

That extra touch of the mid and adjusted tremolo mod for the same price was very very very alluring, seems like a no brainer - but i just love the way the tweed looks. Volume fade can be preamp bias drift or blocking distortion. It's innocuous using old preamp designs, very supro. Anything over 1M for grid leak resistors will let charge build up if you're strumming away. Those gets dirtier and quieter until the tube can recover. Noisy amps to me say poor leads or unmanaged filaments. Class A runs hot plus Supro loves to throw hot high wattage resistors into their circuits. Sounds great.

    I bought a perfect white mid sixties Mustang for fifty bucks from a buddy in high school. Unfortunately, I sold it in college for $110 😢 I also sold a perfect Martin 0018 for $400. 😢😢Question, are the frets closer together on a 24” scal guitar?

    Just got a new SFG TE62 last week. Very nice budget tele for certain! It either has brass saddles or anodized steel. They're gold not silver. 7.3 lbs, neck pocket is super tight, finishing is superb all around. The board edges are nicely rounded. Zero complaints out of the box other than the action is a bit high for my taste.

    Nice video. So glad you're not playing blues scale noodling, or crushing metal distortion with this one. This guitar is great for chimey clean or clean-breakup tones. Got one of these as a platform for modding a couple of years back, it's been really fun. I put a different bridge in, it helped the tuning stability. I also changed out the tuners not because they're bad, but just because I find the old-skool tuners on the original a little touchy.

      No there is not, they didn’t even route the body correctly to fit the sliders and instead use a three way toggle preventing you from getting the most well known mustang sounds.

    Have you made a video about why the SG is the worst guitar ever made? 😅I bet you’d get a lot of crap for it but also potentially a lot of clicks.

    1. Give a big fat middle finger FU to TheGearpage, RUclips, and the like's hyper guitar consumerism. 2. Make music = practice guitar, ear training, record, jam, etc. 3. Improve luther skills to include fret dressing.

    Hi Jim! Happy new year. I think there may be more models. One reverb store in my country has listings for: 1 LS129 : Goldtop w/ humbuckers 1 LS132S : Goldtop w/ P90s 3 LS136F : Flamed top w/ humbuckers in different classic finishes They're all listed for €1649 after taxes here, so that's around $1400 (USD) before taxes for you. Second-hand Tokais are quite rare in my area, so I'm seriously considering the P90 goldtop... Great playing as usual

      Those have all been discontinued in Japan going forward, but there are still new ones like you say available. Once they are gone they will be gone so if ya like one go for it

    I agree. The Jaguar is my favorite guitar, and it’s disappointing Fender doesnt offer a true Jag in their current lineup. Thats why I stick to the AVRI/ Pure Vintage era or Fender Japan. I dont like the current direction, vision, and production of FMIC. It seems once the Pure Vintage series ended in 2017, its been downhill.

      The Pure Vintage era was the last time they made truly great guitars period imho

    CS sounds better but MIJ sound more Telecastery to me if that makes sense

    • @AudiomoMusic
      @AudiomoMusic 6 дней назад

      it actually does, the CS has a more modern hi fi thing going on. The Japanese one is just old school tele.

    Those Pure Vintage '59 pickups are awful. Worst pickups I’ve ever played. Worse than the cheapest Squier pickups.

    Too bad, because it sure is a looker and sounded pretty good to me-especially with the Jaguar. Would definitely take the Music Man over any Supro. I’ll stick with my vibrolux and jazz chorus.

      yeah its' just a bummer all around but the more you know the less likely you are to spend money on stuff that isn't worth it.
