Hi Erik, Thanks for the support! Some music apps do not share track information with 3rd party apps. Unfortunately it has nothing to do with our Brainiac app. I know some apps such as Spotify and Pandora will share track information to 3rd party apps, you will just need to turn on the settings in that particular app called "Device Broadcast Status"

So I have the premium audio setup in my Genesis but I'm also using an aftermarket amp, speakers, processors etc. When I but the electronics kit, would I need to buy the premium electronics and keep the factory amp installed or would/could I buy the standard electronics and remove the factory amp altogether, or does the amp also provide the CAN bus climate data?
Typically, if you have the premium Infinity sound system (NAV Version) then you would need the Premium electronics, as the audio is a digital signal. However, send us an email to info@workshoptwelve.com and I'll have someone with more experience on this topic to assist you :)
I haven't heard of an "iPod interface" However if its an app that change the interface of the tablet as long as the app is still on the google play store you will be able to get it.

Steering wheel controls would need to be handled by a third party JoyCon programmable unit. Our kit does not support steering wheel controls out of the box

Hi there, we are working with the community on test vehicles to work through the electronics. This is trial and error work. Main remaining items are CANBus logging for climate display and CANBus volume control for premium audio systems

Your car uses a proprietary setup with your Premium sound system amp. It uses SPDIF to send sound to your amp and uses CANBus to adjust the volume. I would suggest contacting Metra about their kit. www.metraonline.com/part/AXDIS-HK1. We are using a combination of a PAC SPDIF component and our own hardware/software combination
Personally, I still think the front plastic is too big, and can be better aesthetically designed. There's a lot of daed space with the plastic on the sides. Also, is there a way to extend the usb port (next to the aux plug behind the door next to the shift knob) up to the brainiac usb receiver ?

The tablet can be used without a sim card however if you would like internet on the go you would need a sim card to have LTE accessibility. However it is not required, I personally have all my music and google maps downloaded onto my tablet in my personal kit and hotspot my tablet when I am parked and wish to watch Netflix or RUclips.
Nope! If you purchase the CarLinkIt dongle, then you would have all your Apple Apps and it will use your phones internet. The CarLinkIt USB Dongle will basically mirror your iphone screen onto the tablet (not exactly mirror, it's carplay)

I am almost sure that this will reflect a lot of sun light due to its angle, screen size and glossy finish of the screen. That is why manufacturers make screens perpendicular or on the opposite angle like the new camaro. Other than that, looks very good. I will hold my deposit and check the first buyers feedback.
We choose Samsung tablets die to their large viewing angle and readability under bright sun. The angle is pretty upright and I don't foresee an issue 👍

Simple test would be getting a laser pen, sit on the car seat and position the pen close to the eye and aim the laser beam to the table screen. If it reflects to the car roof, it won't be a problem, if it reflects to the windshield, than most likely will reflect the sun glare. You could do a video showing us :)

If you checkout the picture near the bottom of our product page you will see this angle better. There is also a small hood over the top of the screen. Between that and the roof location, the sun would have to almost be positioned coming through the rear window to reflect in your eyes (angle in = reflection angle out) workshoptwelve.com/genesis/

@@thedisappointed2530 You will always have access to your climate controls as we retain the factory knobs. Yes if CarPlay is open you won't see the visual updates on the bottom of the screen for climate control selection but it won't stop climate from working. We manage volume control through gestures and also have global hotspots to open volume control when in any app. Steering wheel controls can be programmed with a 3rd party JoyCon device that we have some information on in our FAQ page.

That seems EXCESSIVE. I would expect a kit like this to cost maybe $150.00 tops for the whole thing, and maybe $100-$200 more with a tablet.

Not sure what Blue link is LOL.. so I'm assuming no. The entire stereo unit and top screen is removed to make room for the tablet.

If you are able to find an extension that would fit the OEM USB port to go to our electronics then yes that would be possible.

You would have to do a custom retrofit. The BK1 dash has its challenges the way it is designed

No, an iPad mini will not work. The size will not fit and it doesn't support USB accessories needed for the climate display.
