Thats what is says but I’ve gotten the vast majority of my cursed gear with the purification bonus. I think it does increase the chance of getting cursed gear
You can always get cursed weapon after puryfying one in survival Gold. "Shadow of Wars" is my recommended one. Purify weapon, captcher all places and then die. You will get only one piceof gear, but almost every time its a cursed one

They should improve the character build area so you can have PRESETS for each build. Say, you want an offense Ronin build or defensive Ronin saved... instead you have to change the items everytime

Can we agree that we need more than 300 items, every class got his own stuff now and some people like to have didn’t builds and stuff, and you gotta keep some items to dismantle for challenges. They should increase it to 400 at least
Yeah now that classes don’t share gear, we need like 4 of each item. Along with random stuff to save for challenge dismantles
i would also like the ability to "favorite" gear so that you dont accidently dismantle something you were saving because it had perfect stats on the slots but maybe it was a lower ki level

Sucks that you can't save builds like in single player and it removes the items from the 300 pool....would be nice to have uo to 3 builds per character. Kinda like diablo 3s seasonal armory system

Cursed items you get on gold difficulty of any regular chapters, 1st part. Do the first part, traverse the gate. Die 3 times (I runout of the zone), collect cursed gear.

To anyone whos gonna farm chapter 3 i have a massive tip to dueling that im sure no one knows
When she sweeps, jump left; not up then left just jump left and you will dodge the sweep then she follows up with a blue blockable. If you want to practice dodging sweeps do the duels under the leaves and the duel at the swamp in story mode
here's a better tip , get a wind katana and spam the kick . she gets stun locked and dies

My buddy and I have been helping each other do Mastery Challenges and Purify Cursed Gear for two days now. The only thing we can tell that the 25% does is increase, Essence, Honor, and whatever that 3rd currency is. We have gotten 50% when we both Purify Cursed Gear during a mission.
Ahh I’m thinking that’s it. Just the essence, honor, and other thing I boosted
Stun lock still works for me somehow, after I staggered iyo I just kept kicking instead pressing square, she would occasionally attack from stun lock but that's like 1 in 10 fight and mostly non-lethal if I start rolling right away.
We purified 8 items last night (left and came back with another one) and got the bonus up to 200% it was 1350 honour walking through the gate, rewards were amazing as well

Quickest way is have a buddy whose good at the game, apparently this is pretty scarce so you can always lfg on discord’s. Just farm the nightmare story mission for the week. Fastest possible thing to run on nightmare mode and that mode specifically will net you your highest chances at the good stuff
I think they updated it as me and my brother went through nightmare weekly challenges several times and after the first play through was not getting anymore legendaries.

One thing I want to ask you Gooshy, is if there is any news from Sucker Punch? I'm curious to know when they'll be releasing the new maps "Twilight and Ashes" and "Blood and Steel" for survival mode, and "The Arena of Shadows" for rivals mode in "Ghost of Tsushima: Legends!"

Before the new DLC I farmed servered hearts and got 80 percent of my legendary drops there. I'll try it again, just looking for that liquid healing gourd

So with the wind master perk I notice you can’t infinite stun lock her but if you take the perk off you can still break her guard hit her 3 times then proceed to kick stun lock her as her bar is refilling then rinse and repeat

I like how they made it to where if you dip after the first wave of survival, you only get a cursed item....
If I want to farm cursed items I go into survival solo and clear the three areas then step out of the zone and die. Instant cursed item that way. You can do the same in stories if you clear the first zone, step through the gate and then step out of the zone and die I believe. Probably just killing the tethered in story one, pushing to the next part then dying is the quickest way. If you do the first story and get to part three and step out the zone you can also farm legendarys unless they blocked it.
Gooshy, if you leave the match to purify your cursed items then equip an additional cursed item it will increase the percentage amount, also it stacks for all players, so I’ve everyone has just one cursed item equipped that’s 100%

Yo gooshy, did you put hidden blades on spirit kunai yet? Cuz the 10 seconds stacks with the extra 3 blades. 50 second cool downs makes so many good possibilities. Spirit bear and dog might be worth a damn now if I can have a pack of them following me.
Not yet! I swapped out SK with Stone Striker on my ronin. I don’t think I can go back hahaha but I planning to use it for my samurai for those raging flames!
I tried this out, but the problem is actually getting the kills. Even with super massive, its super hard to get kills without a significant ghost weapon damage buff or tweaking multiple enemies. Maybe it would work on a ronin with a good charm, but it doesn't seem viable for the rest of the classes.
The bears and dogs don’t stack. If you have a spirit animal out and call another one, the first one goes away. I run max ability cool down reduction and this happens to me
@@absolutelyeverything totally agree. i've been so torn between hidden blades and light targets on fire. 5 kunai is amazing but doesn't mean anything without the kills. the light 'em up perk assure you get the kill if you've buffed your fire damage. really liking it so far.
To get cursed items it's highest drop rate if you have no cursed in your inventory. I usually get 1 cursed per match (any type) if I have no cursed in my inventory waiting to be purified
Huh, weird. Cuz I've been grinding so hard with no cursed in my inventory and still haven't gotten one.
I have been getting my cursed items mainly when I am purifying it. Really is just random I think.

For those who don't have people to play with, the best way to farm gears is chapter 1 of the story on gold BUT ONLY THE FIRST TWO CHAPTERS, NOT THE THIRD. First chapter kill ONLY the 4 linked enemies and investigate the footsteps, then enter the portal. Second chapter same thing, kill ONLY the 4 linked enemies and investigate the wagon then enter the portal. Third chapter get killed as fast as possible until the mission fail. If you are fast (the assassin is the best in this case) it will get you 2 items in 3 minutes. Also you can restart the entire chapter after failing it without going back to the lobby, simply holding square on your controller. It's plenty of videos that explain this method in details, but it will be awesome one from you too.

Friendly reminder.. You can now get up to 900 honor completing cursed gear on chapter 1 with friends. I repeat 20 mins for 900 honor!!
You can actually stack cursed items. Just leave and come back with a new curse. Get a team of 4 and farm the first section to complete curses. When you finally win you’ll get credit for each curse. I’ve gotten 550% on a single run.
Most of my legendary gear I've gotten from platinum survival but I have not got a single legendary from gold story even if I keep playing them is this a bug or just a feature?

Every video says to increase chances of getting a cursed item, u have to equip a cursed item. But how do you obtain the first cursed item??? I’ve been playing all week and got no cursed item? HELP
I'm not sure if it was you in an earlier video but someone said that using a type of legendary was linked to getting the same/similar one dropping? IE if you're using a legendary katana it's more likely that if a legendary drops it will be a katana.. (though i'm not 100% on this)

The purification bonus actually just gives everyone extra currency. I had a survival match the other day where all 4 players purified a cursed gear and we got +100% currency, so it was double. I got either one or zero cursed gear from that match, can't remember.
what currency exactly is boosted up? like honor and those others?...
Yeah so when you cash in a purified gear, you usually get 1 currency. It wouldn’t make sense to then give you 1.25 currency when you cash it in.

I beat a nightmare story difficulty and the best I got were epics so legendary is not always guaranteed

I still can't get a straight answer anywhere on how to start unlocking cursed gear and reach a high enough level to do the raids. I just got to Rank 20 for each class and I feel like I'm stuck. I'm just going for the trophies
The lv requirement should be said on each activity. Your ki level, for each gear piece, just gotta keep gettin higher
Just do survival, I got to level 120 in 2 days & got about 20 cursed & purified most on my own in survival gold.

You can go onto a Gold story, and just completing the first chapter is one garunteed Cursed Gear. I farmed them like that for ages.

Not sure why everyone is saying the typhoon kick stunlock no longer works. It does. Simply run up to iyo when the duel starts, charge a kick, then press and charge the next kick just after the previous kick connects, let go of triangle just as your character lowers their leg and they'll pivot straight into the next kick. I'm still using this method and it works.

@@GooshyG you mean running while gear level 120? All of my classes are max level, max perks And running current game version. Not sure what would make it not work for anyone else, but for me masamune's edge wind master typhoon kick strat works fine.

Dude, everybody knows how to do chapter 1 quickly. On average I get it done in 25 min, with total strangers and no mics. And that's with all the oni chests as well. Everyone just knows what they're doing.
I also like to bring a cursed item with me that's close to being purified. That way everyone gets like 560 honor each. I wanna try doing it where each player purifies an item. You could get 100% more resources. That would mean 950 honor from chapter 1, which is insane.
What I do is, if I get a cursed sticky bomb for example, that requires 10 ghost weapon kills to be purified, I just head into a gold survival alone and get 9 kills. Then I get that last kill during the raid.
Depending on the curse, I guess it could take a long time to edge the purification on the item, and seeing how each player would have to do it, it might be faster to just do the raid twice. Although, I've been able to purify gear way faster than 25 minutes, at most it's taken 5 minutes. So potentially, you could have 950 honor every 30 minutes.

Fire spirit isn’t removed completely.There’s maps rotation and with each maps rotation, it’s (currently) either iyo disciples, fire spirits or the orbs
I'm having a hard time getting cursed swords. How come I keep getting charms and ghost weapons? I'm even trying to use the Samurai more for the katana drops.
I can never get ranged… it’s random

i think the argument about the cursed item drop is wrong... personally i found that i have the most amount of cursed item drops when i have some mastery challenge active on my character: i did almost 4 hours of play without having any mastery challenge (included story nightmare, 3 iyo cap twice, and a rivals nightmare win) and it didn't drop a single cursed items... instead i did 1 cap story on gold 2 times with all 5 gears with mastery challenge active and i got 3 cursed items... could be a case but i think it is linked to the mastery challenges

You should be completing chapter 1 in 25 minutes. Even with the bug fixes. 35 is a very slow time. With a great team 20 minute times are easy. With 2 assassins sub 20 minute runs are extremely possible.
Not everyone has a great team and some people matchmake with randoms. These times are estimated so feel free to recalculate them depending on how fast you can complete these activities.

But the issue I'm having now is getting legendarys after I do all the raids and all nightmare I can't seem to get anymore so either they nerfed legendary drops because of the weekly refresh. Eventually people will just wait for refresh then jump on. Which kinda sucks. Before I used to get legendarys all the time. Now I hardly get any. Other than this new update.
Lol I’ve been doing chapter 2 in story mode on hard and I’ve been getting a cursed object everytime and it only takes me 10 minutes. My brother wasn’t getting any drops and I’m looking on the internet to see everyone bitching about no drops.

Guess it depends on the curse. Probably painful, for your teammates cuz they’ll have to keep reviving you lol
I accidentally kept a curse on when going into survival (the one that poisons you when you get hit, and you have to defeat enemies when poisoned), so i was down a lot.. I wouldn't recommend it unless you have a team that's prepared to do it lol

You mentioned that the new sword is bugged as in it doesn't always stagger iyo, this is because of intimidating counter. It makes your regular chain parry attack miss but only the shockwave of the intimidating counter hits. Intimidating counter is very bad to use with this sword.

Gold story solo, Caravan of Thieves takes 11-15 mins depending on build. Also per 2-3 runs I have gotten cursed gear.

To get higher than 110 you have to use the gear mastery system
