I love my Demon Seeds. Helps to control point, choke points, can stop charging spear Oni. Weaken plus Deep Bags plus Fired Up when I already have a fire build on my Samurai is a no brainer for me.
@@GooshyG Yeah they have to run over more than one spike though. I basically play around the perimeter of the caltrops and bait enemies into it. Demon Seeds with Ghost Weapon Damage, Cooldown on Kill, Deep Bags, Fired Up
Last breath is awesome. I play ronin and I must stay alive to support my team players. I have extra revive health and bonus health and it's nice to have
I agree with everything but putting demon seeds in the dishonorable tier. It work well when spreading fire on a status build and really helps close the gap to get enemies down to a reasonable size health bar end game
The game changer for me was LIQUID COURAGE (resolve filler). Due to frequent ultis, My Samurai and Hunter turned from Average Joes to mass murderers!! It’s also great for Assassin. Ronin doesn’t need it. Benkei (arrow immunity) is amazing and top tier. In addition to hwachas, it also protects against those machine gun style fire arrows from those teleporting onis. So, while your all teammates lie dead on the ground, you still kick ass. I also love Shogun charm against flash and poison. Not only it protects you from another common cause of death (especially after exploding dead bodies), it also protects your eye health IN REAL LIFE from those annoying flashes.
I like "Lady Sanjo's Surprise" because: 1) Quick Cooldown 2) It's the only tool I've seen so far that can interrupt any enemy animation (charges with spears, spinning, etc)
Try Masamunes edge with stone stance... what people dont know about the Stone hold heavy attack is that it does about 5 swings of damage with one swing... Do that with masamunes and 20% of hold button attacks will do 10 swings of damage. This will one shot any small enemy in the game, letting you instantly move to a new target. It can also one shot a quarter health fat Oni.
I agree with most of your list, except the fact that you put Demon Seeds and most of the Charms above Master's Katana. Stone Master and Moon Master with Raging Flame on the Fire Samurai destroys waves in Survival and Rivals. Not to mention you could also go with Wind Master and one shot the smaller guys, and Way of the Flame the Oni. It's extremely versatile. I have Master's Katana on my Samurai sometimes and yeah, I have great results with it.
@@Madness74747 I actually have 3 different Master's Katanas, each one set up a different way, and depending on how I want to play, I'll equip one of them.
@@joeyjones9041 yeah that's great, I suppose moon and stone or moon or wind is better but i feel so much more in control when i have water master and stone master. It's fun
@@Madness74747 honestly, each stance's master version is strong imo, I have a Samurai Build with the Legendary Katana Wrath of Sarugami which is a Water Katana and I have Intimidating Counter and Water Master as the perks, then I have Explosive Blade as the Class Ability and on my Samurai Charm I have Explosive Blade Radius 99.3%, don't remember the other stat, and for the perks I have Blessed Strikes and Leeching Parry. Water Master is the only Stance I use on that Katana and it does great in Survival and Story mode, I did win one Rivals match with the build, but I have a Fire Samurai Build with Forbidden Medicine and Liquid Courage as the Legendary items for my Rivals Build. To me Water Stance is the most versatile stance in the game, then I'd go with Moon Stance, Stone Stance isn't bad either. It all depends on what class you're playing as, the mode, and your playstyle. I have multiple builds for the Samurai, 3 builds for the Assassin, and 2 for the Ronin and Hunter to facilitate different playstyles and strategies.
Great video, Goosh! I appreciate these kind of breakdowns. I've been really into using the Heavenly Rebuke on my Ronin since I prefer to use water stance. Still considering Spirit Kunai over sticky bomb but I don't want to give up my Forbidden Medicine for the legendary slot. Gahhh... decisions. haha
Go for Rebuke and Spirit Kunai, honestly he can go without forbidden medicine and with the Kunai you can get your healing pot faster = more consistent use
I love the Master’s Katana, I feel confident fighting every type of enemy. Surprised it’s so low! Compared to other katanas, I honestly also find it the most fun, it’s the most engaging and requires some concentration because you’re constantly switching gears and tactics depending on the enemy whereas other builds more or less have a universal tactic they use against every enemy type
I like it but I think having heavenly strike or extra damage is better. After getting used to being limited with stances, it just isn't the most effective anymore.
You should make an update tier list now that there won’t be any more patches. The last update gave pretty significant buffs to legendary charms and katanas
Tbf tho even now the luck perk wirh only a 15% chance to reset cooldown ive found takes effect a bit often. There are some times where it might only happen once per story but theres other times ive gotten it back to back, so 20% id say wouldnt be that bad
About the wrath of sarugami, it doesn't require a defensive playstyle in the duel at least. You can use moon stance with it for example to keep kicking iyo to force an attack to be countered instead of just standing there.
Is there something special about the moon kick or does any attack work? I used to throw out a single surging strike to force an attack but Idt it makes a difference
@@GooshyG Not really sure, but after two kicks iyo will always dodge my third kick and usually do a parryable attack right away. That's the trick I used to solo chapter 3 with less than 5 stacks on all classes that are able to do the black powder skip.
I stopped using any legendary swords. But! Only sword I like still is the sword does double damage with the samurai with forbidden med. but the build I have on that is melee damage with fire and super armor where I don’t get knocked back where I’m just doing burning damage. When enemies hit me, I have the bottle with damage resolve and taking less damage. I gain just as much or same as liquid bottle. Only ghost weapon build with this is using sticky bomb until I really need to use the bottle. But great video!
Yoshitsune needs to be atleast D tier bc when you use it i lets you focus on specific enemies and it does almost Critical strike damage, and the fact you get to do it several times while they are on the ground it makes it great for picking of enemies.
something I do with suguru sight hunter. using the resupply perk and 50% of head shot perk. and the assasionation attempted perk which gives you 100% draw and reload speed. then just go wild after a smoke bomb. with how the suguru sight works. you have the regular draw. and reload aspect. but a fix auto aim of 1.5 sec. the longer you hold the more accurate it is for head shots. there is no stats work around for this. only a game play one. first of is distance. and charge time. so doing it on melee range, barely charging can still gets to head shots. so you can just rapid fire arrows. and resupply.
Can you make a new tier list? There has been so many nerfs and buffs since this vid. less ammo gift locations. liquid courage is 1-2 resolve now. tengu demons do nearly double damage with crows, all katanas buffed to 25% melee resolve gains instead of 10%. ammo altar pickups now restore some health. dual bladed staff brutes are nearly unstaggerable, and counter every melee attack after the first melee combo/hit. poison affects knock you off slack lines and thin walls now, and causes poison damage when you hit the ground. hanging on grapple hook and ladders still prevent poison damage. there's a lot more. the weightless spirit is on of the better bows to use now on non-hunter classes. 3 headshots gives 1 resolve. "bottle of liquid courage" and "weightless spirit" on an ultimate heavy build for samurai, and you can get 3 hachiman's fury in every wave. i get 200+ kills every gold survival.
i think the biggest reason people use(d) a legendary katana is for the god roll on melee damage. especially with the new legendaries in game ( the gourd by far ) theres just better legendaries to use than a legendary katana. spirit kunai on ronin is absolutely insane rn
I'm new to this game and i am hella confused. Can i just ask, at what part do i start to get legendary, or epic weapons? Is it once i complete the story missions? I wanna know
If you run cool down stats on both your magma bomb and smoke bomb as a hunter, you’ll pretty much ALWAYS have a smoke bomb (you’ll be able to cycle through them). For me, I’d say that’s S tier.
Ehhhh I prefer the weightless bow it’s far easier to get headshots for me as I’m running pure ronin but I might as well be an assassin the way I play lol….. might try the other classes just for the trophy!
I have a lv 35 ronin and a lv 25 assassin, still cant find a forbidden medicine ( I have also a lv 60 samurai and 50 hunter but it can't be dropped from them) have u got any suggestions
My legendaries are Assassin: magma bomb+forbidden medicine Ronin: spirit kunai Hunter: skipping stone+bottle of liquid courage Samurai: masamune edge+bottle of liquid courage
Question: are black powder bombs still considered a ghost weapon? It looks like since patch 2.11 it doesn't count anymore. I found this out when I am trying to clean some cursed items by ghost weapon kills.
@@GooshyG Thanks for the reply. I think it's a false alert. I did some testing just now and it still counts as a ghost weapon. I probablyrun into some sort of a bug when it didn't increase my ghost weapon kill count
I love using yoshitsunes hands for my samurai, can easily kill enemies quickly with the water master perk attached. its mainly focused on ultimate spams so no point using heavenly strike, only better katana is the moon master katana if your good at the animation cancel trick.
@@MegaZeb786 you could then just use a regular water katana in case you are not using that square knockdown perk when triggered and use the legendary slot for something else, it seems out of all legendary katanas this yoshitsune is kind of lackluster, but maybe having melee stagger damage and staggered damage as properties could make it good
@@Madness74747 thats the main reason, in less then 2 surge strikes u can stagger an oni and kill it. If it didnt have the stagger dmg then i wouldnt be using it in all fairness. I only use it on my Ronin, my Sam and Assassin use the epic water katana as their build is focus around ultimates and stealth so no point using yoshitsunes hand. At the end of the day its what build you are using.
I've been looking for the magma bomb, spirit kunai, and forbidden medicine since launch. I've been playing Ronin since then (lvl120) and yet I have no luck finding them. Is my RNG really that bad or is there some other class I need to play to find them?
Run the Chapter 2 Trials of Iyo challenge this week. It takes 2-4min and gives multiple legendaries almost every time. I only had one of the healing bomb packs and zero bottles of liquid courage, now I’m swimming in them. You also get 400 honor each completion. You do have to be level 120 though.
@Anthony ya it is super easy, most people are grinding it out this week. I have had a few games where people get downed and quit but for the most part I haven’t had many problems. I have never run the raid so I watched a video on how to do the trial. Once i did it and found out how easy it was I’ve been grinding for legendaries and materials since.
Agree on most of the list but The Mist of Yagata is little better than you realize, True it's just A Smoke bomb with small healing but between using The mist and regular smoke in saving life situation are whole different result. I would personally give it for Dishonorable or B Tier. Anyway this is a good Tier list and very nice for new players.
Also, munitions and lucky make it a must on my Ronin, cause I use forbidden medicine. It's rare, sure, but being able to toss grenades, mist of yagata for more bombs, and possible 2 or more times comes clutch
I agree with your opinion on the legendary‘s but There’s a trick with Kenji shared brewed you must have a black powder bomb throw it at yourself and then use Kenji shared brewed
List is agreeable, but heavens sting is super underrated! I made a super strong critical strike assassin build because heavens sting gives you a 25% assassination dmg, the healing smoke bomb gives a 25% assassination dmg, and using the first technique on assassin buffs assassination dmg 30%. That’s and extra 80%! Plus if you use the technique where your poison deals 2x dmg that’s 160% assassinnation dmg! Super effective!
But you gotta trade the poison for that slow ass assassination animation. Tbh as a Assassin main, we should already come with quicker more sneaky ways to kill. My build would be perfect if I could get posion damage and quick assassination.
@@dejuanhickman3175 I agree we should be able to have access to quick assassination as assassins, but with my build it usually takes me around 2 critical strikes in my smoke and like 2-3 poison darts to take down most oni. one of my friend suggested buffing weighless spirit so it does more damage the further the enemy is since it doesnt drop it can promte a sniper style play....tbh this bow has been useless ever since they patched the explosive arrow glitch...bc back then with draw speed and reload speed thiiiiiiiis thing was broken xD
I would gladly take that draw/reload speed back
Friends*
Great list brothaVomit n Teabag Crew
Hahahha thanks dude. Chu already know
I love my Demon Seeds. Helps to control point, choke points, can stop charging spear Oni. Weaken plus Deep Bags plus Fired Up when I already have a fire build on my Samurai is a no brainer for me.
Really it stops charging oni? I’m have to try that out
@@GooshyG Yeah they have to run over more than one spike though. I basically play around the perimeter of the caltrops and bait enemies into it. Demon Seeds with Ghost Weapon Damage, Cooldown on Kill, Deep Bags, Fired Up
Agree with basically everything
Only thing I’d change is sacred iron to happy Jin tier, stagger damage is kinda underrated IMO
Last breath is awesome. I play ronin and I must stay alive to support my team players. I have extra revive health and bonus health and it's nice to have
I personally love the masters katana just because of the flexibility with stances, and then lady sanjos surprise is also my favorite
This video is so good and insightful for those of us who enjoy playing legends, appreciate the work that went into this. Awesome job Gooshy! 🙏🙏🙌🙌
Thanks man! Honestly 💚 was a lot of work. Much appreciated 😁
Good vid gooshy keep up the good work
Thanks!
I like "Lady Sanjo's Surprise" because:
1) Quick Cooldown
2) It's the only tool I've seen so far that can interrupt any enemy animation (charges with spears, spinning, etc)
Normal Dirt throw too interrupts every animation
The healing gourd only works if there is someone to heal so it can be used while full but you have to be near someone damaged
I was waiting for this and it finally came out
Try Masamunes edge with stone stance... what people dont know about the Stone hold heavy attack is that it does about 5 swings of damage with one swing... Do that with masamunes and 20% of hold button attacks will do 10 swings of damage. This will one shot any small enemy in the game, letting you instantly move to a new target. It can also one shot a quarter health fat Oni.
18:00 that is one of the best in top because you can distract the enemy and cure yourself so they can’t kill you so easy specially in boss fights.
I’ve really gotta make a dedicated build with masters. I’ll give it a try!
I use water master and stone master with raging flame, i like it very much
@@Madness74747 I actually have 3 different Master's Katanas, each one set up a different way, and depending on how I want to play, I'll equip one of them.
Enjo remorse is on every build for a reason. It's hard to deny all those damage buffs.
What you do to farm all these legendary items? Is running the first story still the best choice?
Trails of iyo definitely the best way of getting legendarys, i always get at least 2. If ur not ki lvl 120, severed hearts is probably ur best bet.
@@jamienguyen6603 Thank you for replying. I can only complete chapter 1 of Iyo’s Trail 😭 gonna find some luck there.
Gahhh... decisions. haha
Thanks! I love my spirit kunai, but sticky is a really good option with that increase GW dmg
@@timothybabb9360 I think maybe you meant this for another comment but yea that is unfortunate
@@Yuber187 yep, thx
Thanks ! Yeah it’s def a different play style I’m not used to. I’ll have to try it out!
@@GooshyG give it a shot! It’s a lot of fun to me. Thanks for the tier list breakdown 👍🏽
I like it but I think having heavenly strike or extra damage is better. After getting used to being limited with stances, it just isn't the most effective anymore.
Ain’t no way you did yoshitsunes hand like that 😭 it’s really good in my opinion
Weightless spirit, heaven sting, masamune should be happy Jin dats just my opinion
When I used the kenjis shared brew I could use it at full health and fill my first resolve whenever
Sucker Punch should really do something about buffing the legendary half bows and legendary blow darts
Yeah some of the other legendaries need some love!
@@GooshyG no love at all feelzbad
You should make an update tier list now that there won’t be any more patches. The last update gave pretty significant buffs to legendary charms and katanas
Tbf tho even now the luck perk wirh only a 15% chance to reset cooldown ive found takes effect a bit often. There are some times where it might only happen once per story but theres other times ive gotten it back to back, so 20% id say wouldnt be that bad
I was today years old when I found out that you can jump over the hammer circle blast
Sweet! Been waiting for this
It’s out! Hope it helps!
U can insta kill general spearman and or the super tanky gold generals with the heaven sting
For my assassin build, I have spirit kunai and that resolve thing. It's been working out!
SK is the best!
I immediately added benkeis remorse and ran some blood and steel, tremendous help!
Thank you
I want sp to add more legendaries to the game. Mainly ranged weapons and charms please
Yes! And ones NOT from the single payer. They cool and all but I wanna see something new
The mechanics would needs balance again and i think theyve done with updates
This is good, I havent used the Enjo at all, now im giving it a chance to test. Also the Benkei crap, thanks Goosh
Glad to help!
If we use Enjos remorse is it possible to still get the class perks?
I am looking for people to play with me, can I find a community for that 😅?
I didn't expect the teir lists to be the taka and teabagg 😂😂
You couldn't get footage of the lightning strike nor dodge flash legendaries?
How do u do this continuous attack. Do u cancel it?
On my legendary swords, there’s no way to spec into (stance) master. Did they change it to where all legendaries are mastered at base?
Did you figure it out or do you still need help?
@@Michalooos1 I did😭
I stopped using any legendary swords.
Thanks! 😁 awesome build
Yoshitsune needs to be atleast D tier bc when you use it i lets you focus on specific enemies and it does almost Critical strike damage, and the fact you get to do it several times while they are on the ground it makes it great for picking of enemies.
Yea I’d put it in D tier, I don’t think it’s F tier deserving lol
something I do with suguru sight hunter.
using the resupply perk and 50% of head shot perk.
and the assasionation attempted perk which gives you 100% draw and reload speed.
then just go wild after a smoke bomb.
with how the suguru sight works.
you have the regular draw. and reload aspect.
but a fix auto aim of 1.5 sec. the longer you hold the more accurate it is for head shots. there is no stats work around for this. only a game play one.
first of is distance. and charge time.
so doing it on melee range, barely charging can still gets to head shots.
so you can just rapid fire arrows. and resupply.
oh shoot nice! i'll have to try that out
Can you make a new tier list?
Yeah the max stats does help. Besides stone striker, I never use a leggo katana these day
@@GooshyG i used yoshitsunes hand for a while, but only because i didnt have a good epic water katana
I'm late to the party but nice vid!
I'm new to this game and i am hella confused. Can i just ask, at what part do i start to get legendary, or epic weapons? Is it once i complete the story missions? I wanna know
It's based on difficulty, silver can give legendary items but for guarantees, gold mode or higher is how you'll get them.
It's funny how the "worst legendary bow" later the last buff, now is one of the best Weapons of the game.
Haha I like it! They gotta buff more weapons
what were the nerfs on the skipping stone bow
I think the ricochet arrows hit the enemy's bodies now instead of headshots.
@@Magishinobi So instead of refund 2 arrows per headshot, u got 1 only
Im a New Player 0:59 how did u get These bombs that u can throw???
random drop when playing ronin
If you run cool down stats on both your magma bomb and smoke bomb as a hunter, you’ll pretty much ALWAYS have a smoke bomb (you’ll be able to cycle through them). For me, I’d say that’s S tier.
“Bag tier” lol. But yeah it’s pretty good. I wouldn’t say it meta defining. So top of Happy Jin is pretty good right?
Gr8 list, Goosh =)
Thanks 🙏
How do you have those heal arrows on hunter
on the hunter charm, you can get blessed arrows as a perk, which does exactly what you described
With a 130 level ronin, I believe you’re most likely to get it to drop playing your ronin. Prob any nightmare mission.
Yes! Use ronin for all your weekly rewards
My legendaries are
Assassin: magma bomb+forbidden medicine
Ronin: spirit kunai
Hunter: skipping stone+bottle of liquid courage
Samurai: masamune edge+bottle of liquid courage
Question: are black powder bombs still considered a ghost weapon? It looks like since patch 2.11 it doesn't count anymore. I found this out when I am trying to clean some cursed items by ghost weapon kills.
Ohhh what??? I haven’t tested recently. I’ll have to find a new curse item with that
@@GooshyG Thanks for the reply. I think it's a false alert. I did some testing just now and it still counts as a ghost weapon. I probablyrun into some sort of a bug when it didn't increase my ghost weapon kill count
I still can’t find Masamune’s Edge :( I’m still missing a lot of katanas actually and I’ve been playing forever now
Can you block hawacha arrows with the samurai technique?
I haven’t tested but I don’t think so
I love using yoshitsunes hands for my samurai, can easily kill enemies quickly with the water master perk attached. its mainly focused on ultimate spams so no point using heavenly strike, only better katana is the moon master katana if your good at the animation cancel trick.
Does the square knockdown on this katana happen even on some oni enemies or just regular ones?
@@Madness74747 honestly i only use the triangle heavy attack for the surge strikes.
@@MegaZeb786 yeah i was thinking of putting the yoshitsune one on a ronin too just for fun, thx man
Does anyone knows how to get enjos remorse? I legitimately can't get it
Random drop. Do those weekly nightmares
@@GooshyG Do I have to be any specific characters or can be assassin?
I've been looking for the magma bomb, spirit kunai, and forbidden medicine since launch. I've been playing Ronin since then (lvl120) and yet I have no luck finding them. Is my RNG really that bad or is there some other class I need to play to find them?
Run the Chapter 2 Trials of Iyo challenge this week. It takes 2-4min and gives multiple legendaries almost every time. I only had one of the healing bomb packs and zero bottles of liquid courage, now I’m swimming in them. You also get 400 honor each completion. You do have to be level 120 though.
@@billpeck172 I'm lvl 120 so I can do it. Is it hard to do with Ronin?
@@Xainlrd it’s super easy with ronin if you know how to play the objectives. Been farming for like the last 3 days
@Anthony ya it is super easy, most people are grinding it out this week. I have had a few games where people get downed and quit but for the most part I haven’t had many problems. I have never run the raid so I watched a video on how to do the trial. Once i did it and found out how easy it was I’ve been grinding for legendaries and materials since.
is the ranged bomb pack considered a ghost weapon?
Just the black powder bomb. Not the concussions
Thanks!
Also, munitions and lucky make it a must on my Ronin, cause I use forbidden medicine. It's rare, sure, but being able to toss grenades, mist of yagata for more bombs, and possible 2 or more times comes clutch
Hey friend, how you pronounce breath of izanami in Japanese?
You can build your alt quicker with the weightless spirit than the skipping stone bow😂
Masters katana is fun taking down every enemy in seconds
I agree with your opinion on the legendary‘s but There’s a trick with Kenji shared brewed you must have a black powder bomb throw it at yourself and then use Kenji shared brewed
A bit of a waste don't you think? Especially with the nerf to ghost offerings
Hahah i was gonna say, I ain’t gonna waste a bp just to heal a teammate lol.
Next time let's see all those legendary in action as you explain.
But you can get that with an epic blow gun right?
@@GooshyG yea! That’s the heavens sting I was talking about lol
The purple spear ones might take a little more after but I can still take them down pretty fast. Give it a shot and lmk. Also tell me ur build so I can try a new play style !
Samurai is my main class. In order to get the forbidden medicine for him i got to play as Ronin till It drop It right ? And then Activate for samurai use.
yeah bind it to the ronin and then add the perk: samurai unlock
@@GooshyG thankss
