Loved the show as a kid back in Iowa, Now I live close by to Roslyn and I door dash there from Cle Elum. Plus buy all my weed at the dispensary in Roslyn.
I was a teenager in Turkey watching this beautiful series in summer time. Fridays 22:30. I loved the magic of it - there was a place called Cicily Alaska & all these characters…..🥰
It's 2 years later but I'm thinking they must've been Dexter and Breaking Bad. Oh yeah, a third, The Shield. I know they're all alot darker than Northern Exposure but they're great TV.
Thanks for this... did you know Roslyn has quite the history? It was a coal boom town for a while. Workers desperate for better conditions struck, strikebreakers were brought in from the south, and for a long time there were still African Americans living in the area. :)
I asked my gal to marry me in the brick over moose burgers and beer ... 4 years ago been back twice once in winter ... Take a 4x4 ...god i loved n.x. i never thought i would be ever to go there till i moved to western Oregon ... On our way to Roslyn WA. The first time ...we drove through a rainbow ... I saw the white car ahead of us turn green then yellow.. It was so amazing... So i knew at that point ..god wanted us married.... So i asked her at the brick .... To a standing ovation of people.... We both cryed..lol ...i found that treasure at the end of a 🌈.... Her name is lisa...
ED!!!! That's what 3 people in the audience of the excellent film 'Amistad' shouted when Darren E. Burrows showed up in a small role.... I was one of those. ED.
You have alot of gd material about N.O., thnx for all of it. Miss this show. Apparently w/ copyright issues, the blu-ray box set is guaranteed to have the original score so I'll have to look into buying it. A real shame it isn't readily available for streaming (I've seen so much yes here/no here contradictory back 'n forth regarding where).
Ok, I know this comment is older but people will still read it. This is Ed's movie about Cicely. Ed is a character that wants to be a director and is a movie geek. So this is no behind the scenes stuff, this is still part of the series. 😉

One of the top 3 best shows TV has ever produced.
Don't leave us hanging. What are the other 2?

I'd say Columbo, and Star Trek.@@H3-Vlinius
Twilight Zone honorable mention.
Those were the days...
Absolutely Loved Northern Exposure!!! I see just a hint of Maggie in one of those Chris clips. Gotta have Maggie and Joel together.
So loved this show.......
Loved this show as a kid. Maybe this is why I grew up weird. Started at 4 years old BTW.
The nostalgia is almost unbearable.
So deeply comforting. Powerful medicine.
Love Ed's film!

I've been to Roslyn several times and it is a wonderful burrow. I once rode a skateboard down the hill in the center of town. #noroadrash

okay... i know there was replacement music for the dvd releases, but isn't bach public domain at this point?
I guess that depends upon who performed the piece.
Hum... was Ed behind the camera? Great video thanks much!
@Jaden Dominic The episodes I don't have on DVD i watch on Odysee for free. "Pro."
no of course not. the production crew made the footage, to but used in the episode.
does anyone know where to find the real version of this? where ed is narrating?
