I'm rewatching the show for the first time in years and I just finished season 2. I think most people can agree that some times it's a big mistake to go back to a show from years ago because it just didn't age well but I've to say that Northern Exposure has been great so far. I do remember quitting the show in season 5 or 6 and I'm prepared for the drop off but the first 2 seasons were amazing.
3 and 4 are the best!
Local Hero and Never Cry Wolf are two of my favorites from the 80's. Bill Forsyth also did Housekeeping in 1987, which is really good.
~ An incredible show, what imagination, heart and fun ~ Thank you ~
So pleased to know the connections between a favorite movie, a favorite book, and a favorite TV series.
Local Hero is an awesome movie. Oddly, Very hard to find... a real gem.
It was rereleased by Criterion in a restored high def version on blu-ray a few years ago. It looks spectacular. The old DVD transfer was so disappointing.
Wow, thanks for sharing this. Love the handle, too, btw 😎
The other movie Bill Forsyth made was "Comfort and Joy" about oddly enough, the fried ice cream business.
Does he talk about Doc Hollywood with MJ Fox?
Quit the show before the 6th season, setting up it's demise.
