No way. Northern Exposure was like the only hourlong show I watched back then. I know one of these days I'll begin a binge watch marathon of every episode to the end, even after Fleischman leaves. I've always wanted to visit Roslyn but never have, even when i lived in Missoula, Montana, not terribly far away. Maybe I never will personally visit Roslyn but it'll always be on my radar!

Whoever did the casting for the show did a wonderful job...all the regular cast was so good at their role. I was always impressed with Elaine as Marilyn. To bring a character to life without speaking, then dropping pearls of wisdom when she spoke, would be hard to pull off.

🎄Elaine is such an amazing beautiful soul. Her peaceful Loving aura makes way for the earthly gentle soul she is. Though I don’t know Elaine personally, I have admired Elaine from a far for decades. Anyone fortunate enough to know her personally, their lives have have be enriched all that much more. Women like Elaine are the salt of the earth, and are a very rare breed that makes our world all that more special.
What I find interesting is there are not that many pictures of Elaine on the web considering her popularity, and full body shots of her are even fewer. It’s as though Elaine has gone out of her way to control what shots of her she allows to be taken privately or otherwise, as the majority of the photos I see of her are all professional photos, with almost no candid photos of Elaine to be found anywhere.
Recently I purchased the Northern Exposure Trilogy so I can watch it all over again. Now that I know about Elaine’s other films, I’ll get those as well.
Thank you for the update friend.

Elaine Miles was always a highlight when she turned up on Northern Exposure. Perfectly dreamy, poetic, calm, wise. I'll never forget one scene when she was asked by the doc what she was thinking about. Loooooong pause, then "Clips"......................loooooooong pause.................."paper clips". Goofy, poker-faced hilarity.

Hollywood; you need to reboot this show.Peg could be replaced by her son ( in character) who was the Wall Street investor, who became discouraged by Wall Street and headed to Cicily. A perfect character for Dr. Fleishman to interact with. I want Marilyn to make millions, she provided me with as many laughs. And Adam? The best character ever on a sitcom. Sheer genius

The Adam actor actor has passed away. But didn't he have a baby son. A new actor could be cast as the grown-up baby, and he could have all Adam's characteristics. Hollings is now in his 90s, but he could be a patriarchal figure, limited role depending on author's health. The actor who played Chris is now very successful in many tv and movies...that actor would be too expensive to be a regular. I don't think Maurice is in really good health...he had a very limited role in 911 Lone Star, which may be canceled. It never came back in 2024. A new dr could be there instead of Fleishman. It might be just you much trouble to make a reboot, after all

one of the best shows ever. I'm watching all the episodes again and even though I don't remember everything because I was a kid back then it still gives me very strong flashbacks so each episode is like going back in time. Obviously nostalgia is not the only value of it since it's incredibly well written and the performances and characters are second to none.
