It’s a beautiful trail with some bypasses where needed and a few buggy lines we avoided. The trail gets harder where we stopped. We didn’t have time to continue so we headed back the way we came.
Head north from Fruita Colorado on the road called “21 Road”. Eventually you will come to a parking area with a trail head. (Hunter Canyon area) Follow the gravel road until you see a spot to drop into the creek bed. I would not drop in to early because it’s pretty aggressive at that point. At first you are always close to the actual road so it is easy to get off the trail and back on the road. You can use the road to bypass some difficult sections and then drop back onto the trail. Grand Mesa Jeep Club takes care of the trail and they have suggested requirements on their site. www.gmjc.org/copy-of-trail-details-template
Love seeing trails like this! Nothing too crazy, but for sure an enjoyable day! Hoping to see more!
