The most effective muscle building occurs at the lengthened portion of the lift. Here there is no tension at all at the bottom of the lift making this lift completely ineffective. This is true for almost all band lifts where tension is just about gone where it is needed the most

      Your logic isn't correct though.
The concept that the most muscle building occurs at the lengthened portion of the lift is a common belief, often referred to as emphasizing the eccentric phase. While there's some evidence suggesting that eccentric contractions can contribute to muscle growth, overall muscle development involves both eccentric (lengthening) and concentric (shortening) phases of resistance training. A well-rounded approach that includes both phases is generally recommended for optimal results.
when performing resistance band squats or any exercise with resistance bands, you can experience tension at the bottom of the lift. Resistance bands provide variable resistance, meaning the tension increases as the band is stretched. In a squat, as you descend, the band stretches, creating resistance throughout the entire range of motion, including the bottom position. This can help activate muscles and make the exercise challenging even at the lowest point, enhancing muscle engagement and strength development.

As you descend in a squat with bands the band loses almost all tension precisely where it’s most needed. Almost all the latest credible evidence shows that the most muscle growth occurs at the lengthened position whereas with bands that is where the least tension occurs.

@@farblunjet14 No, during the descent of a resistance band squat, the tension in the band typically decreases, but it doesn't necessarily disappear completely. The band still provides resistance throughout the entire range of motion, making the exercise effective for building strength and engaging muscles.

@@Roygourav260 I guess we disagree. I don’t believe there is sufficient resistance with bands at the lengthened position to provide the necessary tension for muscle growth

Actually even more important about loading with bands is how you anchor or wrap the bands for appropriate tension to get benefits of the concentric and eccentric
