Not sure how this flew under my radar, this is absolutely outstanding. From The Heavens is easily one of my favorite pieces in XIV's impressive roster, and you've certainly done it justice. I've considered trying something like this myself in the past- but there's no way I'd be able to outdo this.
Such an epic theme you made... I'm most impressed. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if Square Enix was to ask you to use it for some Omega Ultimate, really.
Yeah, I had worked on this piece for over 60 hours already at the point of rendering the stems to mix it down and it was too much of a bother for me to fix it haha. Glad you enjoy this cover nonetheless!
I don't see the point of extending the piece beyond its original duration, this was mostly written as a study in a myriad of things such as transcription, orchestration and instrumentation. That being said you could easily put it on loop or extend it yourself by copy pasting the file a couple times. As for an extended remix version, I'm afraid not.
@@project_zy you're saying there's musicians in the studio who recorded this - and not sampled strings and every other instrument you can think of? Prologic/cubase? no? jeez
That is not what a synth is, a synthesizer is a generator that creates sounds through specific sound synthesis technologies. Please learn proper terminology and you may avoid commenting such nonsense. This track is done by usage of sample libraries, the samples of which are, indeed, played by real musicians in the first place. If you would like me to score for a professional orchestra and make a recording, I'd gladly do so if you pay for the expenses.
@@project_zy orchestration noun (OF MUSIC) an arrangement of a piece of music to be played by an orchestra. (oxford dic.) the title of this upload is misleading. This upload is played by some MIDI, it's artificial and unpleasing to my ear. sorry!
A digital orchestral arrangement is still an orchestral arrangement, the title is accurate. This track is also 3 years old at this point, and was made in my very first year of making music. It served the purpose of study and nothing else; to understand the composition, arrangement and orchestration of the original work as well as learning the tools I had available at the time. Your wording "it is played by some MIDI" is also condescending, completely ignoring the fact I had to transcribe the entire work on my own.

@@speedb.bernard5404 It's 8Dio Lacrimosa.
@@project_zy is that one worth the price? 480$ seems like a lot

What a powerful track, Jesus.
This is so beast
This gives me big 'Leonardo Dreams of His Flying Machine' (Eric Whitacre) vibes
Just like in the original, this part is the best one 2:55. Very well done.
Shoutouts to Kontakt for retriggering that note at 3:25, very cool.
If we had gone full Sin Eater at the end of ShB, this is what the boss music probably would have sounded like.
Awesome!

so much synth, yuck!
There is 0 synth in this track, but okay.
