    Shape Up with Belly Dance Lesson 8 - Beginner Class is a belly dance workout where I teach you the classic moves of belly dance as you tone your body and learn to control your muscles. In this beginner belly dance fitness class, we warm up with belly dance posture and balancing exercises in a classic belly dance pose, then we learn and practice basic belly dance moves-snake arms, circling arms, shoulder rolls, hip lifts and drops, double hip drops, horizontal hip figure 8, drum solo hip and chest twists, step touch, hip shimmies and shoulder shimmies. As we shape our bodies in the class exercises, I teach you the art of belly dance with its isolations, layers, and concepts of improvisation. Learning these belly dance steps with the rhythm of the live drum (known in the belly dance community as drum solo) is so much fun you won't even realize what a great workout you are getting. Nothing gets your whole body in shape like belly dancing!

    Hello hello! I love the shape up lessons! ❤ Done regularly it really works!! 🤩 I feel better and I can already see a difference in my body.👍 I recommend to repeat the previous lessons. I enjoy it a lot and I'm starting to belly dance to any kind of music but the drum is the most challenging. 😀

    Just finished this lesson. Loved it, thanks to you, Jensuya -- and to Bob. The live drumming is fabulous. My biggest challenge in this class was keeping the hips more silent while switching to the shoulder shimmy. My skirt might have been making too much noise 😂. Might have been a couple tense hands in there during this lesson too. Learning to let them relax and flow. 🥰

      I'm so proud of you!! ❤ Yes, I know what you mean about isolating those hips and chest! 😂 Keep going back to the Range of Motion classes and drills in short sessions to train your body to differentiate the motions, then come back here. Aiwa Habibi! 🥰
