Dokapon is Woolie's loaded gun. John gets to play with NPCs, get a little taste of what the game is about. Familiarize himself with the rules, get a handle on it. This is just with NPCs. Could you imagine if those NPCS were real people? Real relationships that will continue once the TV turns off? John will have to imagine. Just as at any moment John may press the Omikron button, Woolie may un-dam the Blood Pool and invite another to partake. We are entering the cold-war era of VSW.

Woolie and John's dynamic is one of a Rogue and a Paladin. Woolie constantly fucks with John, who remains stoic in the face of endless ribbing at the cost of both his own image and his sanity. In turn, when the jokes end and banter stops and the rogue realizes he's gone too far, he is only met with a blank stare, a raised eyebrow, and the threat of the sword. I cannot wait to see what happens next between these two kooky fellas

Yup. That's how this game cheats, even on easy. The CPUs, or at least one of them, always gets the best rolls. The game more or less forces you to respond in kind with the CPU's BS in that for every attack or slight made towards you, you need to clap back twice as hard if you wanna win.
On the one hand, it's good cuz it demands more personal engagement with the game.
On the other, it's bad cuz, again, it DEMANDS this from you unless you get really fucking lucky.

I love the small notoriety Dokopon is gaining. It's such an interesting game, especially with other players. Mostly cause of how unfair and hard it feels.
