Hi Jon, well it's 2023 and you're selling all your bikes. I just got back into riding as a 25 year re-entry rider three weeks ago with a Honda Shadow Spirit 750. It was great around town, but over 40 mph I felt like I was going 70. I had been looking a Stryker, but thought that was WAY too big for a newbie, which it could be. I took a risk and after owning the Honda for a mere two weeks, I decided to trade it in for a used 2014 Yamaha Stryker 1300, and it was the best decision I made. I LOVE this bike. It doesn't move in the wind at all !!!
I've just decided to buy a cruiser! because of loss of licence with speeding... on sport bikes I want something fun to ride without wanting to die at each corner (although I love street/sport bikes) and the Stryker has fkn striked me gold. I love it! Can't wait to get one! First off, set of pipes and an ecu flash... then pcV and air filter + tune. Then 30-tooth front sprocket and 240 rear tire! YESSS what an AWESOME REVIEW loved the video!!!!
Thanks, brotha! Sounds like your bike will still have potential to get you into trouble. Lol. But I know what you mean with the sport bikes. Throw a leg over and they turn you into a complete loco! Lol.
Look! Many of us grew up doing certain things at an early age. I understand that he looks a little scared. But even after the ride he's happy, alert, exonerated and most of all safe riding with dad. I advise everyone to feel the Freedom of riding a motorcycle.
Hahaha...thanks you guys. Jackie, does this mean I'm out of the dog house? And brandon, thanks bro! Instill haven't forgotten the $20 Amazon gift card I owe you for guessing the victory price. Lol. I'll get it to you eventually, with interest. Hahaha.
Another sweet bike Jon, you have great taste in motorcycles! My son Jackson is 6 and I plan on taking him for his first ride on my raider this season when the snow is finally gone!
Thanks, brotha! Yeah, my kids love the bikes. Even just cruising around the barrio they have such a blast. I still remember riding the three wheeler with my grandpa growing up. Those memories last forever!
Jack attack!! What a cool young man.. heck of a racer 😉 Love to see you spend time with the "big guy"..👍👍 Teaching him the ways of the bike.. stuff you never forget
Jack Attack is so cute and such a promising young rider. I LOVE my Stryker so much. It's the first muscle cruiser I've ever bought and it sure won't be the last. Actually, it's not because I already bought a Vulcan Classic 1500 which is a BEAST, too.
I like your ramp. It’s curved. Damn go idea. Also I see no hydronic clutch. It’s very practical especially in the traffic. Now that I have it, I could not be without it.
I may have to delete your comment now that you figured me out. Hahaha. Spot on! The little dudes are my inspiration for everything. They keep me young at heart. Lol.
nice bike. the sound is awesome. Indians are nice bikes and my dream bike but.. you are really showing there are so other many out there to think about.
Exactly! There are so many options to choose from. I've said it before and I'll say it again, I'm not partial to any one bike. I'll mob em all if I get a chance! Lol.
I feel you, im 52 and dreamed of a harley my entire life. Now that im ready to buy a bike after research, that harley is overpriced...and not very good. Im a bang for the buck type guy, and harley does not come close. Going with an 07 stratoliner 1900cc for 5 grand, sometimes less, with extras already added. How much do you have to pay to get a 1900cc equivalent from harley again...20 grand?
i was jus watching ur vid here, and thought of a idea of a video for you to do , the hauling , the where/how to strap down bikes and why u use those type arched ramps[the best] instead of single straight ramps etc etc etc
@@JonsMotoGarage be sure and tell why u use the arched ramped to not bottom out the bikes and why the wider ramps are better then the single straight ramps

It weights 646lbs def not a little or slow bike not sure if its for beginners, check out youtube videos of people doing 145mph on yama strykers in no time. I love mine
Better than the raider for beginners, but still not quite there yet. Lol. I think the general concensus among seasoned riders is that we should all start out in the dirt. While this wasn't the case for me, I still think it would've given me q much better foundation. I'll get your shout out/profile here soon. Instill dig the grey way more than the white.
Jon's Moto Garage i started on my dads ninja zx11 back in south america, i was 14 and he let me get on that monster, but i also had 2 slow scooters growing up lol. Than my first bike was a gsxr 1000, def didnt follow the recommended riding guidelines where you are supposed to start small lol. My dad is 60 and has no bike but still rides, he just comes and steals mine 😡😡😡. The stryker is my first cruiser.
Love the bike man, I just picked up a Stryker about a month ago and it's making a whining noise from the crankcase, some people have told me it's normal, but others have told me it's not. Do you have any input? You've had a couple of these at this point I believe. It follows the RPM, doesn't matter if the clutch is pulled or not, slightly louder when the bike is cold. I just changed the oil to Lucas 20W-50 full synthetic, with Lucas Motorcycle oil stabilizer and it still makes the same noise. Looking for any advice I can at this point. I can post a link to a video with the sound
I prefer standard Vstar 1300. Striker with thin from tire and over extended fork sure will not handle as well as Vstar 1300.Its styling exercise but I am a rider not a poser.I want my motorcycle to handle best! That's more important to me then anything else.
I would try to get it for $5k-$5500. But truth be told of you're keeping it long term, the $500 difference wont make q huge differenxe. I'll reveal the price on this at some point in the future...
Cool bike.... Side question.... What are your thoughts on the H.D. breakout.... I'm a tall guy 6'6 looking at cruisers (will be a forest time Rider) that I can fit on.
Ooooh, good question! Personally, I've never ridden the breakout, but I'd love to get my hands on one! I think as a taller guy at your height, that a bigger bike like the breakout (engine and wheelbase), would fit you better long term than something like the stryker. I'm not sure on the breakout specs off the top of my head. I know the engine will be the larger 103ci/1690cc (or bigger if you get the cvo). And if you're mostly carving canyons and don't plan on doing cross country trips, I think the breakout fits the bill. Of course you'll want to sit on a few and go for a ride if possible to see how it feels. Let me know if you end up getting one! That'd be awesome! Thanks for watching and commenting! Ride safe!
I wish I had both bikes in the garage to bring you guys a true side by side look of the two. I may still do a video showing clips of both bikes and discussing some of the basic differences. There are a few ways to look at comparisons: reliability, performance, comfort, and lastly personal preference/style. Probably a few other things you can consider as well. I don't get into the real nitty gritty differences. I always recommend doing research regarding reliability on any bike you decide to buy so you can draw your own conclusion (I think both are going to be about the same as long as you do basic maintenance and don't thrash em). Performance is also one where you either need to ride the two and see which you prefer, or you can look at the objective data (hp, torque, 0-60,etc.) and decide that way. I think both are close enough that it won't make huge difference. And the same goes for comfort. Every individual is a bit different. So, ultimately, if you get a chance to ride each, I would decide based on your personal preference. Sorry, that's a real round about way of getting at it. Lol. But based on my experience, I would go with the one that you like after looking at the big picture (all of the above). Thanks for watching and subscribing! Stay tuned for a comparison vid at some point!
For sure! Between you and me, I picked this one up for $4500 and it had only 2k miles. Good deals are out there, but you sometimes have to be patient. Thanks for watching and commenting!

@@forgedabouted no worries, man! All good. I actually plan on hanging onto this one for a while. (That doesnt always pan out though. Lol). Congrats on the permit! The best beginner bike is a tough one. You have to look at what kind of riding you plan on doing, what your size/ht/wt. is. And ultimately, you wanna get something that you like. A few solid entry level cruisers are the Kawasaki vulcan 900, yamaha vstar 950, suzuki boulevard 800, and sportster 883. Absolutely, you never know when you might hit a pot hole or anything that could make him let go. I understand when you are younger you don't think about what can happen at any given moment ahead.
