Awesome I just got my Stryker like two weeks ago, I always been using a sports bikes all my life and I just wanted something more comfortable and this being a great bike. Fast, looks nice and the balance on this is perfect. I did a lots of reviews on a few exhaust systems and I ending buying the Vance and Hanes 2 Into 2 big radius. And they sound very cool. Deep sound 👌
Is there a bike in the world that you have not done a review on yet....lol! Every time I'm looking for a bike review, you are always on the list. Great work!
Thanks for this video Sean. It was this video that helped me to purchase this bike from a dealer in Arizona and shipped to NJ. I amazed myself that I was able to buy a bike having never driven it but based solely on your review and test ride. The only thing I didn't like about the bike was the gearing. You have to be going over 55MPH to get into 5th gear. The the jump between 1st and 2nd is too far apart. Other than that I love the styling and reliability. thx again
i bought a 2011 Stryker new and put 20,000 miles on it before i sold it...loved that bike. It's a great crossover for guys coming off sport-bikes. They run strong!!! The only downfall for me was it was begging for a 6th gear...plenty of power.
This bike is my new obsession. I'm coming off a 2015 fz07, and after a bad wreck that put me off my feet for almost a year. I'm ready to get back on! I test rode one of these not too long ago and am in absolute love.
If you're going to put on the pipes get the fuel management upgrade from Cobra too, along with the Cobra Powerflow air intake! I have a complete Cobra system on my 2012 Stryker and what a huge difference in power not to mention how much smoother the power/throttle response is! 😎
Just bought a 2011 Stryker a few days ago. It has 979 miles on it and its my very first bike. Hopefully I dont drop it and ruin such a beautiful bike while I'm learning to ride. I just couldnt pass up the deal i got on it. $5000 out the door.
I'm picking up a 2011 Stryker this week. It has 9,140. I'm getting it from a no-haggle Dealer for $6.000. It has the Cobra Swept Exhaust, Cobra Air Intake and a Windshield. Reddish Copper color.
Michigan Gun News Channel I just bought a Raider too. Can't way to go get it. It is too cold right now. I don't like to dress like an equimo whe riding. 🤢
Marco Polo I havent dropped it yet after over 200 miles put on it. I can scrape pegs in the corners and balance it at 3mph. I think I'm just a quick learner
Loved your review on the Stryker and it probably was very instrumental in my buying a 2011 Stryker from a dealer in Arizona, had it shipped to NJ. Thx Sean
I know this vid is 3 years old but I'm just now finding out about the Stryker. Could be a possibility for me but people don't talk about them as often, I don't see them as much as the other popular Yamaha bikes. Don't know if that's good or bad.
I got an 06 Yamaha Stryker 1300cc like this that's all blacked out and he isn't lying, they're SUPER quick and not many bikes on the road are gonna hang with you to be honest because it's that fast. Mine is quite faster than this 1 and if you gun it in each gear like he did here then you better have a hell of a grip because it will throw you off with all the power it has so good luck with that, lol.
thats awesome, I got mine as a new leftover from 2013. Pearl white, stripped it the moment I got it home off the trailer and did it over in black and threw VH twin slash staggered and a Cobra programmer. Just need an intake and luggage options but dont want side cases. Might get like a tunnel back or tail bag or something. IG @fct8306
Thanks for sharing you riding experience and video. No offense but it would be nice to see a ride that included decreasing radius curves, inclines and downhill. Roll on and roll offs. Some roads with some twisties. Thanks again for sharing you riding experience.
WOULD you consider this Stryker more towards a cruiser or sport cruiser...What I mean is at 65-70 (highway speeds) is the rpm "comfortable" for long rides?Would you take this across the country?
Man, it' would have been awesome if you're located in California. I'll definitely buy my first bike from you. And yes, I'm looking for a Yamaha Stryker.
I know this is an old post , I hope you respond. I love your videos , but you never say anything bad about any bikes you have for sale. I love all the positive things you have to say about the bikes you ride but ....... there has to be something negative about them .... !
I am looking at uprading to a Vstar 1300 Tourer from my 950 Tourer, but I test rode the Styker and loved it. My only problem is I still want the tourer saddle bags! decisions, decisions!
you can get a good set of bags and touring windscreen for Stryker. However, as a Stryker owner, I've been curious about taking a ride on the vstar as well
Nice bike....but faster than a VRod? The VRod may be a little softer on the bottom end, giving the illusion that it might be slower...but after 4,000RPM a VRod would eat this thing for lunch. We're talking a low-13-second bike, vs a high 11-second bike here.
@@brianwiseman9518 I know what his point was....he's trying to "up-sell" the bike. lol He flat out said at the 2:13 mark that he thought it was faster than the VRod, but it's not...not even close....nor is it "almost right there with the Harley". Its kind of a common theme with his bike reviews. He paints a big glossy picture for every bike he sells, in order to help sell the bike. In the real world though....other than having a raked out front end, these two bikes aren't even in the same league.
Hey man! Really love this ride but I have only one question since I haven't found any info about it. Here I witnessed a yamaha Warrior fall - slide on pavement about 20 miles an hour and the chassis popped. It was a sad sight and also heard from my friends that they are really fragile. Are Strykers as soft and fragile? Really planning to buy one.
The problem of not putting your feet down, especially @ a stop, its not considered as a full stop by your local police, and your going to get the "WORDS OF WISDOM" in the form of the municipal posted note...
idk if you have ridden a raider but how does this bike compare. It is smaller in frame size, is it a smaller width. comfort? I have ridden a raider and i did not like the width of it.
Hey vette boy, ive drove both and the raider has much more torque, it feels like twice the machine. The stryker is nice and i think im gonna end up with one but it dont compare to the raider man.
+Sean Kerr no probs man, great review btw, its kind of the final nail in th coffin, think im gonna buy a used 2013... Wish they didnt add the graphics to the tank
just wondered about handling. I live in WV and it's all corners. I've seen a lot of videos on this and the Raider. I've seen a lot of pegs drag. maybe with such a long rake it may be a problem. thoughts?
Sean, don't try a V-Rod bro. Love my Stryker, but it's not gonna hang with em. If you want better handling, go with a 240 on the back. What's this about a chip? www.yamahastarstryker.com
Brett Patrick maybe the VROD has 115 hp at 8250rpm compaire to the Raider which is 101 hp at 4800 rpm but the VROD torque is only 65lbs at 6300rpm when the Raider has 123lbs of torque at 2500rpm
Brett Patrick yap! It is lighter. The Raider specs said 101hp but since I am not a sport biker at all because I don't like high speed, good torque can be very handy. VROD to me is more a sport bike than a cruiser. I am a cruiser rider.
Use to own this bike and have kicked a few v-rods to sleep with it. Unless a Harley had some serious performance upgrades they couldn't hang. Buddy has a 2015 Victory Cross Country Magnum and I ran neck and neck with him. I had the Power Commander 5 and Cobra swept pipes.
Yes, the Commander could help. But the VRod has much moore HP than the Stryker and the torque is almost the same, the Stryker is at a lower RPM than the VROD.
Awesome I just got my Stryker like two weeks ago, I always been using a sports bikes all my life and I just wanted something more comfortable and this being a great bike. That sound it makes when you release the throttle....amazing. That might be my 1st cruiser.
Is there a bike in the world that you have not done a review on yet....lol! Every time I'm looking for a bike review, you are always on the list. Great work!
I used to own a Stryker. Same year. Fastest bike I’ve ever owned. Loved riding this bike. Very fun bike to ride.
Completely accurate on this review, a real shame they still don’t make these and the Raider. I’m never given up my 2012 too much fun

Better than any Harley, any day.
The keyhole ignition up top in the fork is annoying and detracting when you have a larger set of keys.
this video convinced me to keep my stryker, i just need those cobra dragsters.
If you're going to put on the pipes get the fuel management upgrade from Cobra too, along with the Cobra Powerflow air intake! I have a complete Cobra system on my 2012 Stryker and what a huge difference in power not to mention how much smoother the power/throttle response is! 😎
How does that bike compare to the Honda fury?

Good Luck, I had this bike, and loved it. It was such an easy bike to ride and fun. I went to a raider, but def miss the stryker. Something about it
Michigan Gun News Channel pretty big bike to start with. Good luck. I Hope you wont drop it too.

Loved your review on the Stryker and it probably was very instrumental in my buying a 2011 Stryker from a dealer in Arizona, had it shipped to NJ. Thx Sean
Why you ship so far? None closer? Deal with any issues?
how'd it turn out? still got it?

Good honest impression's. You have a great natural rap. Enjoyed your flick.
damn that stryker makes me smile every time you throttle it even though im not riding it, pretty weird feeling lol
Love your videos my bro.
Love my Stryker, they move alright 😎

Awesome bike it's very fast n strong. I have one
I just bought this bike (2015 model) brand new for 10k. Yes, it's old but new.
It's not old. 4 years, no sweat

Unfortunately, someone cut me off on a 4 lane intersection....crossed a double yellow and totalled my bike. I had about 600 miles on the OD.
@@MrGarnettmiller oh wow sorry to hear that, hope you are okay a better now. Cagers just dont care
How is Stryker for passengers? Decent?
Only single complaint about this bike is where the ignition key is placed, what was Yamaha thinking on that one??
yeah i know lol
I have not been much of a yamaha fan but the stryker looks and sounds badass.im 6'3 would it be comfortable ?
I cant find a used one within 500 miles are they that rare
Thanks for sharing you riding experience and video. No offense but it would be nice to see a ride that included decreasing radius curves, inclines and downhill. Roll on and roll offs. Some roads with some twisties. Thanks again for sharing you riding experience.
How is the wind at highway speed? Without any screen or bullet cowl.
WOULD you consider this Stryker more towards a cruiser or sport cruiser...What I mean is at 65-70 (highway speeds) is the rpm "comfortable" for long rides?Would you take this across the country?
With an aftermarket touring seat and some bags, heck yeah, it'll cruise at 80mph all day long! 😎
It's definitely a cruiser/chopper. Seat is abit too firm for long ride
Sean- I have a Vstar 1100 but have been thinking of VRod or Stryker. In your opinion, what would you suggest? Thanks!
Hey Sean, I am interested in a 2014 Stryker but I'm only 5'7". Would I be able to ride it comfortably?
I'm 5'7 " and yes you would ive had mine for over year
Man, it' would have been awesome if you're located in California. I'll definitely buy my first bike from you. And yes, I'm looking for a Yamaha Stryker.
+Uber Goob cool thanks, and thanks for watching
SRKCYCLES,
Shawn, inseam on you ? Stryker has how large of tank ? Seat height from ground, how many gears 5 or 6 speed, no windshield, size tires ?
I know this is an old post , I hope you respond. I love your videos , but you never say anything bad about any bikes you have for sale. I love all the positive things you have to say about the bikes you ride but ....... there has to be something negative about them .... !
That's my thought. After all.... The bikes were sold or traded for a reason.....
What exhaust on this? Thing sounds like a beast
I am looking at uprading to a Vstar 1300 Tourer from my 950 Tourer, but I test rode the Styker and loved it. My only problem is I still want the tourer saddle bags! decisions, decisions!

+Mickey Woods I got me a Tourer and love it. i also know Viking makes some nice bags for the stryker though! can't go wrong with either bike!
100% agree. love the Yamaha stuff
Sean have you ever rode a Yamaha Warrior if so how was it.
is that factory exhaust on that it sounds good
That is a cobra dragster aftermarket exhaust
110 back tire??? 210 bro..
Jerry Forese 240 on mine😎

Thanks for the answer brother! Ride safe!
this bike good for a person under 5'10" tall as it looks long?
how much under 5'10? 5'9, you're probably good, 4'9, probably not...
What about 5’4 ?
I'm 5'7'' and am very confortable on mine.

is the drone from the exhaust irritating

Very cool bike.
Have anybody taken a Stryker over the road if so what's your opinion on it
Got a 2011 stryker with 7k miles for $3700, love it it looks great all black
LOL "Brakes feel very good" as he blows through 2 stop signs :/
Love the bike. Hate the radiator.
110 back tire i think youve been sniffing the gas fumes lol
What is going on? Is it just Yamaha or all manufacturers that lies to us. We can't put every machine we buy to the test
what a nice bike
Big ol' 110 back tire. lol
Isn't it a 210 on the back? Capable of a 240?
Sean, don't try a V-Rod bro. Love my Stryker, but it's not gonna hang with em. If you want better handling, go with a 240 on the back. What's this about a chip?

water cooled, wtf? never ever seen a stryker water cooled, all air kooled.
Its water cooled bud. Ur thinkingf about the raider
