Well, here we are 10 year later in the future and I own this exact bike. I LOVE it so much. I come from a dozen sport bikes back in the 90s and this is the best of them all, granted it's the NEWEST bike I've ever owned, or vehicle, for that matter. My car is the first vehicle I owned that starts with a 2 as opposed to a 1982 Honda Prelude, the last car I owned.
Well the lap was handled fairly well , it looked fast thanks to big HP.You guys should do a ten mile road circuit where you can get some top end and post the comparisons
This is a good Comedy video, nice the way you put it together, useing a bike that was never ment for the track ever! cruisers are brilliant at doing what they're meant to do
Paul Gregroy That's the idea, just for entertainment, nothing serious. Most of the bikes we use for this feature are intentionally not sport bikes - how boring would that be?
What I don’t get is why would Yamaha make their Raider air cooled and their (economic Raider) Stryker water cooled? The raiders displacement with a water cooled engine would have made more power
It's like getting out of a Ferrari, into a Rolls Royce, taking it to the track, then running laps with it to see if it handles like the Ferrari you just got out of (Dumb). A Ferrari is a sports car and a Rolls Royce is a luxury cruiser, its purpose is different. It all comes down to life-style choices.
It's actually a pretty fast cruiser considering if you aren't going to race it lol ... I have one and it's plenty fast for me . Ground clearance is my main complaint but the low clearance looks pretty good ..
i own this bike.. put a larger rear tire on the same size rim. ( ive got a 240) and you can turn much faster.. and this thing is very fast off the line due to torque.. take a lot of sport bikes by surprise..but only for a short time lol
wider tires make it harder from my experience, however that tire on the stock rim adds height and surface area on the sides to the tire, and height off the ground giving you ability to lean the bike over further before riding the rim and grinding the foot pegs ...
@@enrisantee As a stryker owner, do you miss abs on your bike? Do you feel that some information is missing from the bike's dashboard? I'm thinking about buying one but I haven't made a final decision yet. 😁
very slow 14 sec slower than xr 1200 thats big diffrent fzr 1000 exup wonder why so slow time the same as xr 1200 ,fzr have 50 hp more and it is alot faster on straight line than xr 1200 probably fzr have worse break or tire .
"dont work dont work" eeeeee you say the sam ebullsheeet as thsi guy who learn you this ;) many people around the world use this kind bike to have fun on road and track and piss on people which say this dont have sens ;) and you do good job to comapre on track many other motorcycle its similar to top gear lap time but offcorse most depend on tires whell not in this case on dry becasue this bike have very small lean angle .
say it dont have sens the same think can say moto gp champ on road sport bike eeeee dude this dont have sens your mtootrcycle is to weak to smal lean angle only 55 we do 62 ;) to bad tires and to heave ;)

Its not a crotch rocket damn it! ...of course its slow ! It was made for looks and comfort, and it's excellent at doing its job in my opinion.
May not be fast but looks sexy as hell I'd have one. Could imagine riding this from Sydney to Melbourne and having a great time doing it

Enri Santee I always thought bigger tires made it harder to turn and lean a motorcycle..

Only one front disc you say, try it and you'll know why there isn't more. Great brakes and good power and handling.

Sorry I do not consider a cruiser test on sport bike race track. I give more importance when Itis test drive in the streets with traffic or roads.
