    NOTE:.... If your Car / Truck Stalling after Cleaning and replacing all that stuff, etc...... You might want to " RUN " the Engine at " Idle " for a bit, so the " MAF Sensor " can Calculate your Fuel Ratio. Your Engine might be just fine... Just the MAF Sensor has to talk to the Computer. so it can " Re-calibrate " your Fuel.

Little did I know that YOU are brilliant!!!! FIRST TIME? Dude - you KILLED it! I don't know about the soap and water for cleaning (would rather use throttle body cleaner) but if you dried it like you said, it's gotta work! I'm like you - hey, I'll give it a try. Learn more about Myself than anything. You keep doing things like this and your Gift will seat you before KINGS! THANK YOU for showing me a "how to" that I've been searching for a long time. Nice and I am glad it helped you! Also, if you have "Idle or Starting" problems. The Idle Air Control Valve (IACV) may need replacing. I got one for $8.00 on ebay and with free shipping. It can eliminate a lot of headaches. NOTE: I became very knowledgeable with the Engine - 4.3L, so if you have questions, just ask. I can save you a lot of $$$ on repairs!

      @@prohomevideos - Before you do anything. TRY THIS: Go to an auto store and buy MAF Sensor Cleaner. Then clean your MAF Senfor with it and WAIT until it dries completely. I decided to remove and clean the throttle body and look for any vacuum leaks but didn't find any problem. The throttle was was at 850 and then dropped to 500 after a couple of minutes. After 15 minutes, I started to rev the engine and then the rpms dropped so low it stalled. Do you think the IAC could be malfunctioning?

    The IAC allows the engine to idle up when the engine is under load and prevent it from stalling. For example when you turn on the A/C.

    Actually I rotated the Throttle cable spring keeper and the cable does not take up slack on it own. Is that right ? the spring loaded item cable goes in to -- push around towards to front of the car. Does the other end automatically take up the slack on the other end.

      +roadstar499 - It was starting a bit rough, that is when I decided to clean it. When it's " Lack Of Power ", it could be a few things and depends. 1. Your Ignition Control Module. 2. It could be your Spark Plug. 3. Check your Distributor Cap 4. Check the Ignition Wire that goes from your Ignition Control Module to your Distributor Cap. *NOTE:* Do you have " Lack of Power " during under 50MPH ??? If you *only* have Lack of Power only when it's 60-70+MPH.... Then it could #4 above.

    Hi Good video, My throttle cable seem to have slack in it. I see yours looks snug tight - straight. should all the slack be out and do you think that would make a P0101 code ? I fixed all the vacuum leaks and every thing else.

    • @JodBronson
      @JodBronson  5 лет назад

      Code P0101 is set when the signal from the mass air flow sensor is out of expected range, or in other words, the MAF sensor doesn't work properly. In most cases, this code is not very difficult to diagnose. Check all the Cable close to your MAF Sensor to make sure that everything is seated correctly. Also, they have a MAF Sensor Cleaner, you can buy it and try to clean it.

    • @JodBronson
      @JodBronson  5 лет назад

      As for the Cable, there should NOT be any slack in it, just a tad and like 2-5mm most. Your Cable might be out of place, like not put in correctly or the Cable has been stretched through time. After checking and everything AOK.... You can use the "Zip Tie" method and go INSIDE your Car and follow the Acceleration Cable / Gas Pedal... Pull the cable until tight, add a few Zip Tie to make the cable tighter!
