Definitely an extremely capable truck. I don’t know why Ram markets this alongside their HD segment. It’s always been in a class of its own. Not really a 2500 but heavier than a 1500. Solid axles, front and rear lockers and disconnecting sway bar. Not really fast or made to jump, basically a Wrangler Rubicon full size pickup. Ram knows who their buyer is for this and they aren’t going to change a thing lol
I think that’s the best summary I’ve ever read. It really doesn’t fit nicely into the HD segment because it’s more capable off-road, but less capable with HD things like towing. It’s unique, for sure.
Yet it’s better then a wrangler rubicon except for its size as it comes with a factory installed winch 😅 and in 2022 it was cheaper lol which is why I bought a PW over a wrangler Rubicon/ gladiator rubicon lol 😂

You have to understand what you’re getting here. It really is meant to be an off-road truck. If you don’t trail ride then really all those off-road features are redundant because they certainly come with a price. First in cost, and second in reduced GVWR. Can these things tow? Absolutely, and with a few add-ons like airbags, and rear stabilizer for instance they can tow quite a bit safely without losing articulation if you are ok with towing more than that sticker says you should. They’re an HD on soft suspension that rides similar to a 1/2 ton on the road, and better off-road on the bumps. They’re also one of the most capable off-road trucks you can buy stock, and probably the best HD in that context. The latter of coarse is subject to opinion.
I have had every brand of 4x4 pickup over the years. The Power Wagon is the best off road pickup i have ever had. I will keep my 2022 PW for a long time. It makes off roaring so easy. You did not mention the articulink front suspension which is what gives it so much flex compared to every other brand. Tires have nothing to do with its gvw.

The tires don’t do anything as far as limiting the weight rating of the truck. That’s all in the springs. The tires are actually E rated tires just like the rest of the tires they put on other three-quarter and 1 ton trucks. The springs in the power wagon are a little bit longer, making it taller, and softer to let the truck flex when disconnecting the front sway bar. Very capable off-road truck. I love mine.
The duratracs that came on my 21 PW were only D rated 8Plys 🤷🏻♂️💯🤷🏻♂️

Seems like the addition of a little $500-$700 airbag kit is all that's needed. It will increase the payload and I'm hoping that engine can handle towing 10k or more.
Love my 2022 PW i take it up north Quebec off road to the lakes and i have no doubts about any rocky roads i go on, its the nicest ride on rough roads with front dif disconect hands down. It eats chevs and shits out rusty old fords!

The Power Wagon has always been the Alpha of all off road tricks. It’s in its own league because it is so purpose built from the ground up unlike all others that are a modified production model. I own a Power Wagon and it makes all my other HD trucks feel like a toy. My PW absolutely embarrasses my wife’s Wrangler Rubicon off-road. 😂

I currently have 2018 PW that I adore......but I am ready for a new one and I want the 2023 PW BAD. But pricing is out of sight for the PW.......I may have to consider a F250 Tremor. I have priced a XLT Tremor for 69K. If Ram can get near that for the PW its no contest for me.....PW all the way!

Buy used? I paid $57 for a 2022 with low miles in 2023.
I have ZERO interest in owning a Dodge...But those Power Wagons really challenge that for me.

Power Wagons are the perfect choice for those of us who want to haul a smaller off-grid travel trailer well into the boonies to use as a base camp. The PW will get your trailer in much farther than a standard 4X4 so while others are paying daily fees at the local KOA or managed campground those of us with Power Wagons have our trailers parked beside a lake or stream for free. Instead of listening to drunks playing Rap all night we fall asleep to the sound of loons, coyotes, and crickets....and the odd mosquito that got in!
I’ve had 2 Power Wagons and there is NO truck on the market capable of beating it OFF ROAD! Bar none! The Tremor comes close but it’s geared towards the weekend off-roaders and grocery getters because it’s dual purpose. Just my opinion though. Great video.

I do not give a damn about look of the grill or other cosmetic items. A power wagon is off road pickup. All that is important is how well it does off road.

truck is awesome but the latest tremor f350 got payload in the 4000+lbs range ... 1401lbs is the real deal breaker here IMHO

The instrumentation on the Ram is 100 x better than the bar graph gauges on the Tremor!!!
