    Tri coat whites are the most forgiving.
    Iv ran the pearl coat edge to edge many times on the newer Hyundais and always get a dead solid match.

    I have been following you for a while and have bought pretty much all the equipment that you suggested and it helped a lot. My question is for FC710 & FC720 dieback. The paint lays down like glass but couple of hours later the gloss is not there anymore.

    • @GarageNoise
      @GarageNoise  22 дня назад

      Die back is typically from waiting too long in-between coats of clear. It's funny I got some today because it's so hot 99° the first coat of clear cures so quickly. In hot temps you may only need to wait a minute before you apply the second coat.

    • @acesnyc
      @acesnyc 19 дней назад

      I will try that and update usually I am waiting minimum 10 minutes before the 2nd coat.

    I never understood spot panel clearcoats, i cleared a whole jeep with that same product... thats what SW gave me back then about 4 yrs ago and i based it with their dimensions, sprayed with hvlp and a 6 gal pancake compressor... the color sanding the orange peel was brutal

    • @GarageNoise
      @GarageNoise  27 дней назад +1

      It just dries a bit quicker. This buff a bit better when your on a deadline the fc720 overall clear flows a bit better, it just takes more time to gas out before it's ready to buff.

    Hi Chris, a superb finish from what is a budget gun which is as you say a good gun and compressor for the home user. I think all these guns that are coming out lately that spray fairly well are all based on the R500 setup which is not a bad thing🙏👍John UK

    Hey Chris…first off love your videos, so helpful. I have a question though. When you spray I know you try to maintain a factory orange peel. How do you remove dirt nibs without that spot looking like you sanded and buffed it? Can you maybe add this to one of you videos?

    • @GarageNoise
      @GarageNoise  27 дней назад +3

      Yes I can, if your peel is minimal you can do it fairly easy. If you have excessive peel the you need to color sand and buff the panel. I can do a demo tho

    Hey Chris; Quick question : Do you use a flex agent in your paint/clear when painting a bumper pad, or do folks just not do that any more ? BTW, I'm knee deep in restoring my old (one owner, bought it new) 1989 Olds Toronado. It's completely stripped back to metal, and waiting for low humidity day to shoot epoxy primer on it. All the plastic parrts will be prepped and painted afterwards.

    I was thinking about getting that compressor but they also sell one that's smaller with the same 4.5 SCFM on it. It's only 10 gallons. I would assume that would also work with the LVLP sprayer without fluctuations as well then right?

    • @GarageNoise
      @GarageNoise  7 дней назад

      If it were me I would opt for the larger one.

    • @GarageNoise
      @GarageNoise  8 дней назад

      I think you can , I've seen it done . Depending on what gun you want to use. If you can budget a bigger compressor I would do that.
