Well the 80s basically had 3 sections, the first 2 were great, but towards the end , about 87, is when the evil came, and has been here ever since. That’s when America got more evil, the economy began sputtering, and corporate greed REALLY took off. It’s weird, it was like someone did a ritual to let more evil in or something.
Devo was my very first concert that I attended at the young age of 12 in 1980 in Reno where I grew up. My parents took me and my younger brother to their show and I've never forgotten it! Devo was f',ing awesome and they blew the roof off of that place! They're just an amazing band who've always been incredibly original and their music like this awesome song have stood the test of time. I just read an article last night about the top 20 bands to ever play the Lollapalooza Festival and they were on that list-of course-from a show in 2015. I wish I had seen them at that show as well. And they have the perfect mantra for all of the B.S. complacency and apathy going on in the world right now. We just have to Whip It, Whip it Good! Devo rules!!!
