    Why do you always say keep them hungry?

    • @skywatcher_
      @skywatcher_  5 лет назад +46

      because thats the only way to control a pigeon.......if you dont keep them hungry they will sit out all day long and who want that.....this way of thinking is only used if you are flying or releasing the birds.....if you lock them in and dont fly them at all, then feed them as much as they want

      This is just superb, been searching for "pigeon racing clubs" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you heard people talk about - Hansaac Riyliver Scheme - (do a go ogle search ) ? Ive heard some pretty good things about it and my mate got cool success with it.

      Hi, this is good way to train them to come back into the loft and for getting used to you.
      As the birds get older and you start racing if you do that is .
      Things will change regarding types of corn and amounts of it.
      just enjoy each moment. if you race ypur birds and want to complete at a high level its a different ball game. Management, loft type and set up of loft, your location helps but is not everything, good pigeons!!!! for the types of racing your going into. Health is one of the main things and this is a science.
      I have raced pigeons for many years and let me tell you it's easy to lose races but very hard to win on a regular basis and is hard work. Too many pigeons in confined space is not good.
      If you just want to enjoy pigeons keep less and just get to know them and enjoy learning more about them and how to motivate them. keep it simple. if you want to know more or any help and advice just ask.😊

      IT MAKE SENSE! BECAUSE we had to (NOT) feed our dog before Training Classes so he'll respond better. Of COURSE it WORKED. So I've done that with all the trainings of my ANIMALS. GREAT WORK SKY WATCHER. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THE WAY YOU DO THINGS! BEAUTIFUL BIRD'S YOU HAVE.

    Hey John, how long after you wean youngs to deed them as much as thety want? I know its best to feed proper percentage of protien to build muscle. I like to feed all peas and pellets also for awhile for that matter.Then after about a week I go to 16% as I start to train and cut dowen feed to home them. Then once I get them responding to me . I open the door and let them do thier thing. I dont scare them up. But once they fly up and later start to kit and get exercise to build muscle. I then start to go 12%. Is that a good method in your opinion?

    how u doin pompjuice, so pretty much ive done all type of things from video games to fish, dogs , tarantulas, no snakes, cats, even chinchillas for a hobbie im 32 and on the real this bird life has just got me mesmerized i am literally starting to love the concept of pigeons, basically im new to this world i have been talking to some fam members who used 2 or have delt with Birminghams and homming pigeons, i recently bought a small coop and would love to get into birds as a full time Hobbie all though i pretty much know nothing about it personally besides videos about them on the Internet, i dont even know where to look for birds, would u have any advice or leads for a young man to start up my own flock or to basically start my own bird world, im very dedicated to this full time i only need the birds and some pointers on the game of pigeons, i would love one day for you to watch me and my fam of birds as i have watched yours and possibly become a person of interest for those with the same respect and excitement to watch and also pass on the the game of birds, either way ur videos have been very helpful and interesting, i like ur flavor neighbor triple C, COOL CALM AND COLLECTIVE, anything helps, ive learned allot from ur vids now i just to enjoy this thing called pigeons as u have, much respect and rather u respond or not im watching playa, much love !

    you should never flag the youngsters, you should let them fly around free, flying together comes natural, racing pigeons don't like to fly by them self's, and you if your old pigeons fly for less than a hour and you need to flag them, somethings wrong, some bacterial infections in the system or they are too hungry, a pigeon biological clock needs a routine, the feeding times have to be the same every day as the exercise, the main thing that you need to worry about is, keep your birds healthy, if you do they will perform for you ...
