Not sure if you’ll ever see this mate but thanks ever so much for your videos I’m a lad from notts just like you and didn’t know a thing about this but learning so much from these
Hi from D.Ks pigeon lofts Birmingham rollers & Australian tumblers, I keep a pair of older birds for sitting on eggs it does work for me. Have started breeding here in October 2022, 2023 will be breeding Australian tumblers for the first time
Hi from D.Ks pigeon lofts, if i started over I would keep the hens & cocks apart with a solid wall to keep the noise down, stops /or gives the neighbor nothing to complain about, or try and make me get rid of my birds by the council. when they see me in the morning they get worked up I talk to them to settle them down.
Great to listen to an experienced pigeon man giving the same advice as we get on the Facebook group. Good luck with whatever you choose to do with your breeding and if you need any help, there's lots of good stuff about breeding on the group history. 👍
HI Dan, nice video with dave. Be great if Dave could give you plenty of eggs off his stock, them Herman kluijsters are good birds, my only worry about you're yearlings is as yearlings they can be bad feeders, and can struggle to rear 2 baby's, where as if you give them a pot "dummy" egg and a real 1 they will rare a single baby better as yearlings, when they get older they generally improve, but then you get an odd bird that will all ways be a bad feeder, but fairly rare, so may be consider just letting them rare one at a time. Dave Doesn't agree with the light I see, but he did say if it works for others then why not, if only mentioned lights in stock lofts, for the reasons I gave, I no lads that have heating in there stick lofts also, and again for obvious reasons. I'm glad he suggested about you buying in young birds for 3 years and see how you go, and then yous them for foundation stock, and if there really good go back and try buy older stock that would be a generation or so closer to there main proven stock that are children of winners and are winners and are breeding winners as there grand children also, so many generations like, maybe try buy 6 from a couple of breeders so 18 or 24, and see how you go, and you will see plenty of baby's for sale in Blackpool that's for sure. in time you might go 2 Belgium or holland and buy from the best, because when I get back into racing again I will be going there to buy the best from the best, I was in Antwerp before and we went to the LIARS MARKET and bought T3 clocks and visited a few lofts also, they are UNREAL when it comes to racing over there. Happy shopping Dan
Alright H.2.T.UR.P. hope ur well, isn’t it great to listen to the old timer’s this chap&Charlie the knowledge they have on pigeon’s 🤩 WOW, I think 🤔 your birds will be ok for the coming breeding season, even if u get 5pair from ur yearling’s try 2rounds even, then U have ur new birds coming, great idea about the eggs’s, If you could try turn something in2 say 6 to 8 nest box’s try get a few tumbler’s just for floating egg’s, if you could keep them in ur shed, saying that he have a lot going on with the extension, Xmas, best of 🍀luck🍀 great 👍 video, 🇮🇪DUBLIN🇮🇪
Cheers bud. Yeah space is a premium at the moment, as is time. I can always make up the extra that I want elsewhere but as I've never bred any I'm not sure how many I'll need...
@@howtotrainyourpigeon I understand what ur saying but just pair your yearling’s 😂 together that U have planned, see what way they go with there first round&take it from there, but try get a few more 83’s I hope that’s the right number or 94😵💫,plus omg 😱 the bird he showed us on the video was top quality just to look at it u can tell, beautiful looking pigeon, sorry for wrecking ur head waffling,H.2.T.UR.P 🇮🇪DUBLIN🇮🇪 👍
Hello buddy I have been watching your videos, and wish you all the luck for 2023 racing,ps think about doing a 1 loft race it's a bit more racing and you might win it, but you have to be in it Stu Gloucester
One thing I swear by is a yearling has to rear a young bird if you want the best out of them for racing, It ties them better to the loft and their box and i never put much faith in young bird form.
just put your breeders into 12 hours of light for 10 days before mating, until they got eggs... it is always better. And the Willem de Bruijn pigeons are very suitable for you
don't;' stress to much even if they are only yearlings THEY know what to do after all you nearly had one early pair !!! so let nature take its cause the biggest problem will be trying to get them to pair up in the pairs you want they can be head strong !!
What's your email address mate? I'd like to help you out with some young birds for this season. Proven distance pigeons flying into Cambridge, from Pau and Barcelona. We used to fly in the NRCC in the 80s and early 90s before turning south to compete in the National Flying Club.
willem de bruin pigeons are awsome, hard to get and expensive but bred early in the season and not spoiling them, they are a class of there own

I can't remember what it's called but it's a hardboard glued together. Usually used if the floor will be exposed to the elements for a few weeks
