One of my all time favourite songs, bought on a single in a Melbourne suburb in Australia - The Members should have been much bigger. Love the Moke in the background outside the hotel.
How great is this track. Hear it once. It's a great example of the use of horns, something that a lot of Britpop bands did in the eighties. Joe Jackson used them to great effect also.
@@VincentRE79 I can feel your sadness. They sure were a ripper band. As to whose members they may remind someone, I am thinking of one of the more infamous coc*suckers.

I did not catch this band back when. I will definitely look for more of their songs. My dad brought me to my 1st concert in July 1964 when I was 7: Chuck Berry, Bo Diddley, Little Richard and fats Domino. Steven of Two4Brew
Don't know why, but this song popped into my head & I had to find it on YT 🙂 I don't remember the clip, just the song. Still as catchy as ever! Looks like the clip was filmed in London. In the 80s I always presumed they were an American band bc of the singer's accent. The literal mind of a teenager 😅
Great tune, and remember the video being shown on Australian tv. Still have the 7 inch single which I got when I was living in sydney. It really took of in Australia at that time, and expected Radio to do the same here in the UK 👍🇬🇧🇭🇲
That's what happened to me. I heard it as a kid in 1982, and it popped into my head the other day. All I knew to google was "listen to the radio better than the stereo".

Been crankin this track a lot lately in my car among other upbeat awesome 80s song, it's an all round really cool song!!! Being an Aussie I can clearly see the music video was sourced from Australian music TV program called "Rage" judging by the titles and the ABC logo at the bottom left. I wonder what happened to the original film print of this video (I assume 16mm film was used), I can only imagine how good it would look if it were found and scanned in 4K!
Strange the record company did not supply the video clip to the band for YT? The rage people upon request do supply to artists the artists own clip if the artist or their label no longer has it.
I found this video while searching for groups that had Simon Lloyd in them (I can't seem to find any info on him nowadays) but I love this song!! I love all of the songs I've since heard by them.

Cracking tune brings back such awesome memories!
Top 5 hit in Australia, but charted absolutely nowhere else in the world 😳
For Decades I always thought it was TISM that sang this song as they sound so similar But the Members banged this hit out 5 years earlier.
2o23 still a brilliant song
This is a fantastic song to dance in the street to !!
It really gets this 55 yr old " Hot Mess. " Going !!
Especially the last 30 secs !!
Love it !!!!
Your excellent!!
Tally ho....off we go!!!
This song was before it's time! Sounds modern enough to be a mid 2000's tune!
lol
NO ONE FROM THE ERA WOULD SEE IT AS THAT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The dancefloors were always full in the 80s, sing and dance to so many great songs, feel sorry for todays youth
This is now definitely on my play list. Now what was I doing in 1982 so that I came to miss this one completely. Ah yes, I remember it well...
Love this. I have it on a compilation record... '1982 Out of The Blue', (iirc)
