Jane Rosenthal: “You can expect amazing documentaries starting off with Diane Von Furstenberg, and, you expect films made by... 50 percent of our films in competition are women filmmakers. And we also have films from over 50 different countries. So a lot of diverse voices and diverse storytelling. A wonderful film from Argentina that Martin Scorsese has executive produced. We also have a number of reunions. And, you get to see Steven Spielberg's first film, ‘Sugarland Express,’ celebrating its 50th anniversary. And then at the end of the festival, it's the 50th anniversary of ‘Mean Streets,’ and Bob and Martin Scorsese will be together in conversation with Nas leading the questions.”

“Where did it all go? No, it’s great. I mean, I'm looking forward to De Niro-Con. Jane has told me about it and given me some information, but not much. I'm looking forward to it. It's interesting. I wasn't sure, but it's interesting. I'm looking forward to it, what can I say?”

(Reporter: "Are you the kind of actor that can look back at his own work and appreciate it, or does it take a little bit of time and is 50 years enough for, say, ‘Mean Streets’?")
“No. I don't watch my old stuff all the time, but if I run into it accidentally or something on television, I might get taken in by watching because it's been so many years that I feel, you know, I can be more objective and look at it like as if I'm just looking at anything, except I'm in it, and so, yeah, and that's nice. I don't do much of that. I'd like to and maybe this time with these movies, because they'll be in the theater and with an audience, I might watch them and go just through that experience, which is I’d like to watch them.”

Robert De Niro: “That’s the first of hearing about that.”
Jane Rosenthal: “I wasn't going to tell him about that, but anyway, no. There’s a... you can have the opportunity to - if you like tattoos - to get a Max Kady tattoo. Either a real one or a, you know, temporary one. And then there's also the best De Niro hero, because every deli in New York has a De Niro hero. So, there'll be a tasting competition for the best De Niro hero.”
(Reporter: "What would be like the main meat of a De Niro hero?")
De Niro: "I don't know, you tell me. I don't know. There was only one in Queens when we were shooting 'Bronx Tale' in the local Italian deli they made. I didn't know they were doing all of this."
Rosenthal: "That's his thing, not mine."
