Jonathon your Derelicts are the best. I get a little tired of seeing the FJs and Broncos, but I never tire of the Derelicts. I think 46 Olds is my favorite so far.
Cars have been my first love for 50 years. I have to say the Derelict series has been my favorite vehicles of all time. I love the idea. I would consider it a privilege to own any one of them. Thank you for the anthology. Usable art, is the best description.
I love just the attitude the old ones were built with ! Just winding down from WWII , An ashtray that weighed 8 lb.s, a glove compartmemt you could put a loaf of bread in, and the "THUNK !" you heard when you shut that door !
Pop bought a new Willys Wagon after the war. Drove it until he was out of college (GI bill), then bought a tear drop Olds as a business car. He's gone now, but I'm sure he would have loved all the Derelicts and the art on wheels patina ethic. You have staked out a good space with your product lines, keep up the good work. If I win the lottery, I'll be by to see you'all 😀
I'm not a major fan of 'brown' for car colours but I really liked the paintwork of that 1954 DeSoto. And, I gasped when I saw the interior - just gorgeous!
Well, I wish I could afford one. The Buick convertible is my favorite. I imagine that car being driven by a character like the grumpy private detective in these 1950's film noir movies (starring Humphrey Bogart I believe...)
I love the 49 Hudson coupe, probably my favorite Icon Derelict build. The LS9 definitely helps persuade my favoritism! And also agree with it being the ultimate lead sled over the Merc. The Hudson just has that classic sinister look in shock form without having to chop, channel or section anything.
I realize you have completed quite a few Derelicts but was a bit disappointed one of your FJ40s wasn't represented. Oh well, maybe next time. Otherwise, you should be very, very proud of your accomplishments. Thanks for the video recap.
How can you not be stoked when a new video drops and you get to see this art get unveiled ! Huge thank you you sir and thank you to your team as well .
I happened to be Lucky enough to be Stumbling around at Bob's Big Boy when you brought the 46 Olds in.. Nothing Short of AMAZING.. Without sounding to Over Zulus... Meeting you AND seeing that car.. WOW... As good as these vids are.. The cars are WAY better in person.. Thanks for the Derelict Review.. I'm a lil late to comment here I watch most of the vids and this one got past me.. Super Cool.. and thank you for Doing What You Do... OH.. PS.. ( still watching Benson to see if i see you on there ).. Peace Out.
Jonathan, perfect timing with this anthology. Your passion is infectious as I am on my journey to repurpose a 49 Plymouth and your hospitality in sharing info from my enquiries is genuinely appreciated. Bravo for your well wishes to Jay at the end !! All of the best, enjoy a happy and healthy Thansgiving. Great White North luvs ya !
Kudos to you and your team. The vision is mind blowing. No stone left unturned. Love each and every one. God bless you for what you do. JT: Orlando FLA P.S. actually have something very special, I think you might like. Need to send it to you. Think travel and Florida alligators as a clue
My "fantasy ride" (the vehicle I could never afford to make) take a 50's era wagon and chop the back off and close cab to make it a crew cab. Then stretched frame and a era style bed added to back. God that would be cool!!
Love this! I love what you guys are doing with these creative applications. I aspire to do similar work in my future. I would enjoy being a part of the team.
Thanks for making these the best versions of themselves! These are so wonderful - hope whoever hit the Powerball will pay you a visit to commission one!
Jonathan you & your team are the very best in custom world please don’t feel sad about 300sel I have W114 which I want to built I can bring that to you 😂
We add collapsible columns and usually stronger bumper interfaces, modern brakes and often three point seat belts. Sometimes we add door braces and we also try to design stronger frame lateral braces for side impact strength. Thx
Hey Jonathan, I am working on a '53 DeSoto 2dr hardtop, what they called the Sportsman model, its also a Firedome car. I love the wagon you built, could you tell me the wheel color? My car has the original paint, Forest Green Iridescent on the bottom and Spring Green on the top. I've owned the car for 19 years and am finally getting back on the build. Thanks for your time!!
@@ICON4x4Design oh cool! thanks for the info... hey man I though you might get a kick outta this video driving down Wilshire in the 50's, saw a Studebaker in there as well as some other "derelicts" in their newish state of being: ruclips.net/video/8GK0CwIOGHw/видео.html
Paradox: You win the lottery but can only buy one ICON vehicle.... I CAN'T DECIDE!!!! OH WAIT! NOT a paradox! Just hand Jonathan a bag of cash and say make me something cooler than anything before. 😎
ICON is the highest level of automotive art, by far!
Jonathon your Derelicts are the best. I get a little tired of seeing the FJs and Broncos, but I never tire of the Derelicts. I think 46 Olds is my favorite so far.
The Rolls and the Mercedes definitely two of the best
Geez. That Lincoln, the Oldsmobile, the 54 DeSoto, and the Rolls will eternally hit such a sweet spot. And of course, the Merc!
Greatest line of vehicles to ever hit the roads!

Now you,ve done a Merc,it would be great to see a 500/560 SEC given the treatment!

4 the 1st time ever Im leaving without watching all . I love these and already watched all of them > My lottery would be power wagon or 70s Ramcharger
Willys 4WD wagon series, yes please! Don't for get the truck too. Art Morrison chassis, new Super hurricane crate motor (straight 6 turbo)
That Desoto is why I started watching!! My first car was a 49 Desoto Suburban. Would love to have him do one of those!!!
You know you’re an OG when you remember each build from Jonathan’s previous videos. #icon #icon4x4

Super cool, thanks for this update documentary.
Thank you Jonathan and all at Icon....
I really enjoy these anthology videos. You can see the continuous refinement and new ideas.
It is just incredible to see the amount of time that goes into a project like this. It is even harder than make it brand new.

40:15 I see a Volvo P1800 Coupe. Please tell me you are doing one of those, perhaps with a turbo 5 cylinder?
All by nice.

Beautiful cars. What modern safety features do you add to the cars? eg collapsible steering column, crumple zone, safety cells etc

Tremendous. Thanks.

Excellent work as always, Jonathan... the attention to detail on these builds is inspiring and impressive. What watch are you wearing in the video?
An old Heuer Silverstone. Thx
