Thanks Jonathan , I love the shop tours. You have gone beyond mere restoration and into true innovation with these vehicles. Your attention to detail and perfection is an inspiration even to us working on projects at home. We may not be able to do everything you do, but you give us a goal to work towards!
American ingenuity is not gone. The cottage industryesque nature can always explode to our National nature. Lead the way ICON, Jonathan and crew. Thank you, it is inspiring.
I can't see myself ever being able to afford one of these. However, I love the videos! I am doing an "ICON on a budget build" 79 K5 Forest Service Blazer. You don't have to have a ton of money to have something really cool. I pick apart every piece and system, just like you all. Sans money, shop equipment, and talent! Still looking great though. Keep the builds and the videos coming
Really enjoy your shop tours and the details behind each build! Very cool Derelicts, looking forward to seeing more of your 49 Mercury Coupe. Keep up the great work!
I love the fact that Jonathan knows that its way over the top, and "no one needs it" , but he is the best in the bizz ;) PS whats under the cover (8:50 mark) :D
Love seeing so many Derelicts. Love everything you do, but the Derelicts are definitely my favorite. Can't wait to see the videos on the Mercury and those Bronco Derelicts!
Amazing hard work ..... when your hobby is your work ..... unbelivable progress from the starting days .... great work keep it up .... please hope one day i can afford one
Thuroghly enjoy these “behind the scenes” tours and your articulation, about each and every project. Wish you could do my’39 Ford Coupe, like that Lincoln 😎👍🏆
I love what your doing and all of these builds but there's the other side of me begrudging that your sucking up all the old carcasses out there for me to finally start a project when i'm able to afford to haha. Love these tours and updates
I could spend a week in that warehouse. O.o I love all your projects. Really keen on seeing the video for that TR derelict. I love the TR's. I really love that green/blue color. Perfect. Thank you for taking the time to take a walk through the shop. Curious but if I stopped by the shop would I be able to take a guided walk through? I live in Canada near Vancouver so I don't actually see it happening soon but thought I'd ask. I think just seeing that Old Desoto/Chrysler wagon would be enough. Again thank you for such inspiring work.
Love these builds ... you need to move out of California... to a state that would welcome you with open arms ... cough cough Texas..... hey Joe Rogan is there ...
What timepiece are you wearing? Its beautiful and with your taste, and engineering knowledge, I would really like to know, I am a fan of you and your work.
Jonathan it’s always a please to see your work. Love the intro and outro. All the new projects are looking good. You and the whole team have really grown and advanced. Hey one question. You didn’t mention anything about the white Taycan anything you wanna share or is it secret 🐿 stuff? Lastly if I may, whatever happened to the Tesla powered Plymouth Superbird/Roadrunner concept?
I bought a ‘64 Beetle on Bring a Trailer a couple of months ago. The day after I bought it, it was awarded the “Bring a Trailer Pick of the Day” by Car & Driver magazine. I had it shipped from the Bay Area to a shop outside of Austin for electric conversion. The car is in an original “Baby Blue” VW color with a very nice interior. Now, a company came to the shop and they want to document the build for a pilot video and are going to document the conversion of MY car! One of the shop owners said to me that, “Either your car will be famous, or it will be in a video that no one see!” LOL. I talk to them about ICON and Jonathan and his builds all the time.
ALMOST THERE WITH THE MERCURY!!! FINALLY!!! Please tell Jay to hurry up with his video (as if anyone could). Side note Jonathan could you give a wrist check on your watch next time or every time you do a video? I'm too lazy to watch search and find the Hodinkee video and besides you may have collected another vintage watch.
@@ICON4x4Design Really, we all know you're a design geek, so this shoe fits I reckon, or you could start a collection trend. BTW I did look up Hodinkee and am not surprised you're wearing BP, I especially love what you said about your control knobs design taken from the crown of a watch. So awesome.
I guess because the ones that appreciate these icons the most are us poor people that cannot afford them. Give me that crew cab Ford and a good Bronco and I would keep them and use them for life and have no use for any other vehicle, ever !
On one of your previous tours you were walking around outside, and I couldn't help notice several BMW 2002's on your lot. Are you doing something with those?
We resell them to suppliers that specialize in more stock restorations. That way, little gets scrapped, most of it gets recycled and most live on to assist other restorations.
Love these tours. Feel's like Xmas when they drop.
I agree!
Jonathan you are the man . your work is second to none.
Love seeing "The Dog". CJ3B.
STILL saving my pennies. Glad that your business is humming along.
I like the shop tours Jonathan, very interesting to say the least.

This is all about the art of making a vehicle. Love it!
That Wagoneer is stupid sweet!
Brilliant work as always
Awesome to see all the project, old and new. Well done.

I like the tour. The best part was the tease of the 300 sel being kept under wraps in the background. Well done.
That was the 300D under the cover. The SEL is at the upholsterers shop, back next week!
@@ICON4x4Design I’ve been waiting for YEARS to see what you do with the Adenauer. Can’t wait to see what you come up with!

Hey Jonathan. Couldn’t help but notice the wrist wear- blancpain fifty fathoms, JLC memovox? The el jefe, man… geeze. Amazing work as always.
Long live the three pedals!! Love it JW, beautiful as always!
Really enjoy your shop tours and the details behind each build! Very cool Derelicts, looking forward to seeing more of your 49 Mercury Coupe. Keep up the great work!
Looking forward to the derelicts that you've mentioned. The trucks are great but the derelicts are unique rolling sculptures.

Love me those thriftmasters!!! These shop tours are always fun to see
You should move to Texas. I'd bet you'd have to open another shop just to keep up. Great tour -thanks for sharing

Thank you for the great shop tour, very fun, didn't say what was underneath the tarp in the back, looks like an old Mercedes?

I personally love ICON Toyota projects and his innovative spirit. God willing I will get a classic FJ40 or any other off-road toyota truck one day.
It is really good to create more useful jobs and re-use/recycling industries and old cars are being rescued

I was wondering what happened to the electric Derelict. I'm looking forward to seeing both videos on it!
GREAT VIDEO JOHNATHAN!!! LOVED EVERY SECOND OF IT! ICON IS QUALITY!
Tons of Great Stuff in progress!!
You guys are "One of One"... hence the name.....Icon...
Awesome tour, I geek out too on all the stuff.
Awesome fj, perfect! Nice to see employee of the month board also.
Love the upgrade in video production here Jonathan. Quality befitting of your craftsmanship! Felt like I was right there with you.
Does El Hefe have all the “perversions of modernity”? Thanks for the tour and the shout out to AM..
Coral Gables 🌴🇺🇸 VERY impressive. Looking forward to E Merc on J 's garage. Thank you for taking time. 🏄

Send those shop grunts to Arkansas for some heat conditioning any time -They can join me on the garage floor workin on my two uzj100s.
Woooohooooo Put on your steel-toed boots, we are going on a tour!!!
I hope you do a full video on the Suburban.
Hi Jonathan, beautiful work, as always. I didn't see the new Bronco light bar on your website. Is that available now/soon?
Soon!

Hey Icon, did you ever think of making a four-door Thriftmaster. Another idea I have is a tonneau cover for the Thriftmaster trucks.

Last shop tour was in 2016?! Still have that red Hudson Big Boy truck in the back lot?!
No we have done them more recently than that but maybe on IG only? Thx
Would you ever do a 80s-90s Toyota pickup also a 92 blazer

Is the caliper on upside down @ 17:55? Bleeders are down.
Why would anyone buy a new luxury vehicle when they can buy an ICON?
I guess because the ones that appreciate these icons the most are us poor people that cannot afford them.

They don't have any cash.
Exactly. 💯 percent correct

What does your statement have to do with people not buying a vehicle?
On one of your previous tours you were walking around outside, and I couldn't help notice several BMW 2002's on your lot. Are you doing something with those?
Long live manual transmissions!
Great video
Okay, Jonathan. I'm gonna quit my job as a teacher and become an entrepreneur and make millions so I can get an Icon.
Copper Bronco is sweet
love these shop tours! where is the mercedes though?
He casually walked by it. It was behind him under cover...
something was weird with the camera and autofocus. great video
Jonathan where did you go with that other Wagoneer build you where starting? Can’t believe your guy is selling the original - perfection…
This guy is a PRISONER to his W O R K
+1 for manuals!
Do you sell the 17" steel wheels that would fit a 2022 4Runner? Or where do you get those old style steel 17"-18" wheels that fit 6 lug Toyota 4x4's?
Good tour but I miss the best part, when you used to walk out in the lot and have lots of future projects lined up in a row
Did I miss the Mercedes Benz completion? Or if it's still there any updates on it?
Sir, if I ever win the lottery you'll be one of the first to know.
Y’all ever get approached of think about doing a Toyota Pickup?
Time to update the camera with the lag slow to focus properly , but thanks for the video .
Question: if anyone is reading that knows what happens to all the parts chassis etc that get replaced in making these awesome machines

Volvo 240 restoration next?
Nope project cancelled

Where are the roads “salty” all year? Any car collector I know stores their cars in winter.
People don’t really do that on the west coast much

Awesome
Are you still looking for other cars to possibly restore? My father has like 6 classic sports cars if you are interested
I had no idea Eric Clapton owned a car company. But why does everyone keep calling him Jonathan?
I’m surprised I didn’t get charged to watch this video
