Great work, love the color. Reminds me of a '73 Ford truck I used to have; painted it myself candy apple red, with kind of a 'duller' red on the interior, people teased me wondering why it took me almost a month to paint it, then they saw how awesome it was & they shut up with all the teasing!
Noah, Charles, and crew are 100% the real deal. The staff is an amazing combination of craftsmen and women that take great pride in their work. Oh yeah, I’m privileged to say that is my Nomad.😊 And if you like this, wait till you see the job they did reimagining a one off ICON build 1982 CJ-7 coming to Bring a Trailer.
I also have the privilege of owning a 1955 nomad the same color as yours. Enjoy as we enjoy the heck out of ours. Be ready for the crowd anywhere you go.
Guys - find a Wayfarer! WOULD it be possible to stop at the Epoxy stage and leave the bare metal as is? Would that weather long-term or not? It looks so cool. You gotta have respect for those who built these cars. Skills!
Very great work. 100’s of hour each craftsman? Wonder about a rough $ amount would be charged out total. So beautiful. This would be the car I would choose.
TO all you guys out there with hard on's thinking gee wiz look at him go working on the body work .. Well while something like that might be fine for spot panel repair it is certainly NOT recomended on an entire strip & repaint job . There are other less abusive methods of paint removal than this available that does NOT require you heat up the body panels so much the soda media is a perfect example of a media blasting paiont removal system that works great ..especially when you have lots of prior paint jobs to remove
I'd love to see a time-tracker of some sort to show the number of days that go into each step. I imagine that hundreds or thousands of hours of hours go into body and paint...
Couple of questions… Does the Epoxy applied after the Poly Primer, act as a Sealer, and is it sanded before the Base Coat? And when is the Firewall cleared? At the same time clear is sprayed on the body?
The mistake i made with my 56 Sedan Delivery is that i did the body work and then the sealer. Paint began to crack after 10-20 years. Ive owned it for 52 years.
Its quite amusing seeing this as a DD speedshop watcher, the contrast is Hillarious, but v.nice result tho, i like them both ratty and shiny as long as they're solid, saved and are on the road again/ still .
I greatly admire your work and your work group is tremendous! My respects! I see you from Puerto Rico. I also have a question. I have seen for some time now that many colleagues recommend not using rubber sanding blocks, for example Dura Block or similar, and using others that are rigid, polyurethane or something else. In your experience, how true is that? Or does it all depend on good sandpaper and good hand?
Probably just omitted because we’ve had it in so many other videos and the guys get annoyed with the same questions 😂 For example m.ruclips.net/video/IQ_wZ2Qrdnk/видео.html&pp=ygUYY2xhc3NpYyBjYXIgc3R1ZGlvIHBhaW50 around the 7:35 mark. We may have altered the process a bit recently, but that’s a good overview. What information would you like on paint choices? This color was chosen by the client.
He did mention grit size on buffing , he went from 3000 to 8000 Machine or hand? and isn't there a 5000 grit? Seems you could just glaze 8000. WOW great job!,love it !@@ClassicCarStudio
Question: after you sprayed the paint, you then assembled the car to spray the candy coat. Before the car is assembled, the pint is dry I assume. Did you need to do anything before spraying the candy? Or did it just go directly on the dry paint? Just wondering if it adheres to dry paint without a problem? Thanks so much. Love your guys detailed videos!
@@rickyhastings8872 8,000 they do with a random orbital sander and it's a pretty quick pass. 99% sure they do 3,000 with acrylic blocks. They've made a change to the process within the last year though so we may have to bring you guys a new breakdown.
No, the old finish was actually in pretty good shape, but I’m pretty sure by the time it came to us it had a few body modifications that required most of the car to be repainted.
Stunning work as always fellas! The colour is awesome...
55 Nomad is my all time favorite! Just a nice simple off the assembly line 55. I’d take that over any other vehicle, sports cars included.
The work you guys do is absolutely phenomenal!!

55 through 59- the best cars that ever graced the scene!
It's a great looking color. It's a lot of work. I just wish my Nomad looked that good. I'm building another one now, so there is still hope.
This Painter is a awesome Dude Man Guy

Where do you fill the gas from???????
@midgetrace, servo controlled driver’s side taillight. So when activated the taillight housing swings open to reveal the gas cap. 😎
How the hell did you make paint and body work so enjoyable to watch?! Well done. =) The colour and of course the work is absolutely stunning.
Thank you very much!

Wow grate job 👏 I need you all to do my 70 nova
Really great work.
Wow so deep
That's very nice.
Tim Allen would definitely approve. Just be careful not to drop an I beam on it. 😂
Stellar!
I have to ask why you didn’t media blast your ‘55. The exterior only takes 2.5-3 hrs and is ready for primer immediately after?
Thanks,
Joe
Amazing

I "am old school no primer till the body work is done. why use all that heat from the sander to remove the paint?
Yeah, I was wondering why they didn't dip it.
Also what buffing products you used
Do you ever blast the paint off the body instead of sanding ? 🏴
What’s a paint job like this cost? Without metal work. Starting at body filler
do you happen to know who you sold that 66 nova pro street black. tannish interior, blue tube frame. was an old friends want to know where it is.
Problem with such a nice paint job is i would be worried about using the car
As an Italian following from Italy I love that f..k off americana style! It's art.
Thanks for watching!
What brand of polyester primer is that ?
Why not mm media blast the body or dip it?
What’s the pad for paint removal at the beginning of the video
✌️⭐
Why don't you use modern paint and rust removing methods to prepare the body before paint?
The mistake i made with my 56 Sedan Delivery is that i did the body work and then the sealer. Paint began to crack after 10-20 years. Ive owned it for 52 years.
Color pleaseeeee?????❤❤❤❤❤❤
Looks like they brought the filler up to the high spots. Not much metal showing.
wet sanding with fingers is a no no.
That's a sandpaper-wrapped acrylic block. He's not using his fingers.
😲😲👍👍👍👍👍👍👌👌👌👌🇫🇮🇫🇮
Strange way to strip a car!
Keep the ToolMan aka Tim Allen away from this car as he is known for dropping I beams on Nomads😂
Why not give the vehiclethe correct terminology, old?
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 👍 🚗🚗🚗 / 👋 🇺🇦
its cheaper to buy one you can i get one for 10 cents on the dollar at Barrett Jackson las Vegas that what i did wheelchair larry
If only they had colors like that back on 55

Beautiful color... What is it? Id love to do a bike that color ❤❤❤❤
I want to see Noah get on one of those Freestyle bikes and bust off some tricks.

Boa noite meu amigo parabéns que talento show de bola
such a nice red ,great work!
It always confuses me on these vid's. Why aren't the wheels covered during body work?
I stopped watching your video after you gave me the finger.
Mr. B. Here ! 🍺👀😎👍. The two wagons of the mid-50’s were so cool then and now that includes the Pontiac ! Great 👍 work !

Looking good. Lots of surface area. This is two months ago? Where are you getting the PCL?
Did the finish crack .to cause the complete repaint
