    I recommend the BlueDriver adapter. I bought that and it helped me figure out what the code was. I, too, double checked the cables under neither the seats. My trip reset works because I reset my trip odometer before my shift at work. The error code is B1481 and it points towards the driver side airbag so it's either my airbag but I don't think it is but I'm confident it's the clock spring. Thanks for doing your best to show how to replace it. and howdy from a fellow Texan!

    Little tip: leave the nut on the steering column so the wheel doesn't hit you in the face when it comes off.

    Great video thanks, I recently changed my whole steering wheel just to have the same fault. Wish I saw your video first :) I’m also having cruise control switch issues (on both the steering wheels I have) so I’m pretty sure the clock spring is going to fix that issue too. Thanks for posting this.

    Amazing video. I tried to install cruise control kit buttons on the 2013 model and now none of my buttons work anymore. I even tried installing a new clock spring and no luck. Any advise?

      I did not torque it, and I didn’t have to use anything mechanical to undo it so I don’t think so

      I looked it up and the tightening torque specs show 28.9 ~ 32.5 lbs

    Hello, in my case the whistle does not work when you touch it, the commands work perfectly and there is no airbag alert, but when locking the car the whistle does sound, do you have any idea what could be happening, thank you

    • @laurazietz946
      @laurazietz946  3 года назад

      I just used an engine code reader (not the ones from autozone or orileys as they don’t read airbag errors) and went though the trouble shooting procedures until the last thing was the clock spring

    • @laurazietz946
      @laurazietz946  2 года назад +1

      I’m no mechanic, but for me it did fix it. It could also be a fuse or bad wires in the wheel. Hope it does work!!
