  • the new oex feral ultralite tarp.
this oex feral ultralite tarp works better with a tent, probably the new ultralite tent from oex, the shape of this ultralite tarp from oex don't really make a great shelter because its shape to fit over the ultralite oex tents..
Going wild? Extend your shelter with the Feral Tarp, designed to fit every OEX Ultralite Tent.
The Feral Tarp is the perfect companion for an ultra-light adventurer. Weighing 420g and extending the shelter outside your tent by around two metres, it will keep you protected while you prep your food or pack your rucksack.
The Feral Tarp is designed to fit all OEX Ultralite Tents. Being Feral, it fits best with the Bobcat (as shown in the images). It can also be pitched as a standalone shelter.
    Flysheet: 15D N-Liten Sil/Nylon - 3,000HH
    Guylines: 1.8mm Ultra-lightweight guy line
    Aluminium Ring Tensioners
    Size (Packed): 33cm x 14cm x 8cm (LxWxH)
    Weight: 420g (including pole)

I can't understand why they didn't just make it an oblong shape? No seams to seal and no odd shapes. Can't see the point, especially if you have to seal it yourself! 🤔👍

Having used both Tents and Tarps to camp with , I would not use that by itself , I know its light , but a Tarp should be able to cope with any weather .🙂, Be Well , see you next time .👍

You lost me at seam sealing, not a chance. Plenty of good tarps out there that are ready to go out of the box.

I'll never buy anything that i have to seamseal myself. Same as I'd never buy a car if i then had to build the engine myself. Hate all these companies for doing it. I get why they do it. The items dont fit in their sealing machines, and they would have to do it by hand... well, do it then! Give us the choice, buy it cheaper and diy or charge us a bit extra and give us a completed product. Give us the choice.

Thanks for another awesome video, and if worse comes to worse…you can always roll yourself into the tarp like the Michelin Man, as long as you can breathe. You should stay relatively dry…😂!

I have a DD lightweight tarp and it's great,,, but putting it back in its tiny bag after use is a right pain.. if it's wet it's almost impossible. It takes ages.. am just going to buy a dry sack to put it in..Take care out there.

Being lightweight is all great, but if you then add it to a tent, it defies the point of going lightweight .for the price ,just like the phoxx, I think that it should have been seem sealed. In my opinion , it may also take a lot of faffing around to sort it out exactly to the tent. I would love to see the full review, .God bless you and your family and happy camping 🏕 😀 😊 🙏. Lee

Yes bruv, tarps! Am you tubing all things tarp as I just got my first tarp, Uni gear 3x3 £18 from Amazon, but I do like looking at the expensive stuff, and seeing how to use the kit properly. Very informative video - Brilliant!

I never use the sacks that come with Tarps , so hard to get back in when wet , You should see my Aquaquest Tarp bag , ! 😂 , I use a Vango replacement stuff sack for mine , only easy way to get it stowed quickly , lol.

Watch out for Hogweed in the woods. Very dangerous if your skin touches it and can blind you too.

Some brands allow you to pay more for the factory to seam seal the products as an option. I’d like to see OEX offer that.
