This is good stuff. I think you have done something with your channel that is really tough. You seem to have found a unique voice in a sea of very good guitar-related RUclips channels. Somehow yours is unique and unlike the others, and it has really good content delivered by a good teacher and talented player. Great job!

As someone else said, I hope these chapter markers will continue! There are so many of these lessons that I refer back to again and again, often jumping around trying to find some section, and that really helps.

Cheers for that Adrian, I must admit that you've opened my eyes to an awful lot of how's and why's ,a simple concise explanation just made shed loads of Wtf's fall into place

The iconic wall daubed with the words 'Clapton is God' was proven to be false when King Crimson appeared as quite obviously 'Fripp is God'.
What a wonderful lesson in 'out there' music. Strange to the ear and dystopian in character. Cheers Adrian, pure quality 😎🎙🎸✅

Really really great lesson, thanks! No other video seemed to make this applicable to me, that little dissonant end piece was awesome!

Well, that was just brilliant. Never heard of the WTS before and has really opened my eyes (and ears). Some great ideas for practising. Thank you.

The example you gave at 3:35 is a warm-up exercise I've been playing for years. I think I got it from Guitar Player magazine. Whe I saw you play that I thought, "cool!" 😂

this scale doesn't please me. no pop hits in it that i like. I LOVE how you are labeling the progress bar into little chapter headings! will that be a regular feature now?

So what happens if you retune your guitar (or a spare one for experimenting) so that you don't have to shift up or down to allow for the 'B' string if you stick to standard tuning?

I immediately recognized some of the latter-day King Crimson licks using that scale. Great lesson! (And did you see the recent YT video of the guy reaching his goal, after 20 years, of playing through all of Fracture?)

Is a symmetrical scale not one where reversing the scale formula gives you the same scale?

  • @paulembleton1733

The patterns sound a bit like different keys. Do those with any other scale and it’s still clearly the same key except now it sounds like a melody.
