Attention!
Please remember that we will not announce winners until the finale. Spammers have been commenting and messaging members saying they won prizes and to text them for shipping instructions (aka they are trying to get you to pay for shipping) don’t fall for the trap!
Cheers.
The episodes not long enough!!!!
It's great though, thanks guys.
Hard to believe but I think I'm on the 'short list' of every prize this year...UNBELIEVABLE...DON'T KNOW what I'll do with all the stuff>
I have won on every comment on every video. I must be one lucky guy.
TELL ME ABOUT IT LOL!!
They just tried to get me and it’s very convincing. I said some very colorful things to them. Scammer scumbags got me excited for a second.
Hey Donnie OnX sent me an email. They're having a class on how to read maps backwards......turns out it's spam.
😂😂😂🤦🏻♂️
🤦♂️ can't believe I didn't see that coming. 🤣👍
Donnie, I went to a zoo the other day that only had one animal. It was a dog. It was shitzu.
@@K.Fulkerson omg THAT is a good one! 🤣
Lol!!!
Love how Tyler keeps it real and talks about how it is hard for them to keep pushing when wet/tired and there is little action. Makes me feel normal.
This show really shows the emotions of an elk hunt. Early excitement, middle of hunt frustrations, stuff you cant control. You guys really so a good job showing that. Way different than the old hunting shows that are not realistic at all.
I've been hunting for about 35 years and I still have never got to watch a fight live. That has got to be one of the most amazing things to witness. Thanks for bringing us along, and a big thanks for the strategies for success! I cant wait to put them to use on my Alaska hunt this year!
I’m loving the recap of Corey and Donnie after every episode!
Love the concept of physical fatigue leading to mental fatigue! Once that mental fatigue kicks in (in all aspects of life) it is sooo much harder to be successful. Congrats on getting an elk while fighting! Super cool!
It’s great how you show the less successful hunts as well as the successful ones. I don’t feel so bad when I see guys as good as you are struggling. Thanks for keeping it real.
Love that you guys show how hard elk hunting can be. So many shows just show the highlights and make the hunts look easy. Love that the sponsers are behind the format.
Such a cool episode to see how the moment can change so quickly! Loved the “always be ready advice”. Sounds simple, never as easy as it sounds! All the teams had great moments in tonight’s episode!
Just what I needed! Looking forward to restarting my Elk101 course in a couple weeks to start freshening up!
This series shows the good and tough parts of a given hunt. I applaud Elk101 for continuing this trend. Nothing can be more exciting or slow than elk hunting.
Thanks for taking a realistic approach and showing all that is involved with hunting elk. Not just getting a trophy but what it takes to be successful long-term.
Each episode is gettting me that much closer to opening day. Love it
WOW, You guys never cease to amaze us. The roller coaster that is Elk hunting. Love the format, perfect amount of teams and the wrapup. 45 mins is about perfect. Keep up the good work guys
You guys just have the it factor. Even when the bulls aren't playing the game you still shoot a bull while it's fighting. Super cool to watch.
Just what I needed after a long ass day! Thanks for bringing us along
Shooting a bull while fighting must have been a whole new level of excitement. It’s been enjoyable seeing the different hunt styles from the teams and the different habitats and unique challenges to each of them. Keep up the good work guys. It helps get me through the off season!
Well done putting it all together. I’ve archery elk hunted for 9 years and am yet to get an elk with my bite. Thank you for teaching us how to be successful. Proud to be a fellow Idahoan .
I really enjoy the back and forth banter among the 3 musketeers of Team Pure Elevation. Good to hear some of what the videographer is experiencing as part of the team.
A+ on the camera work Donnie. Glad the thought even crossed your mind to pick it up instead of just watching the show unfold.
Nice to see Elk101 on the board with an elk down. I’m just amazed at how fast each episode goes by so you guys must be doing something right.
I love seeing real life on my tv! This serious is a breath of fresh air from the majority of the past shows that make hunting look stupid easy and makes you feel dumb if you don't get a B&C animal the first day of your hunt. Love your show!
Donnie and Corey, I sure am glad to have Destination Elk videos rolling again. Before these launched I had taken up a new hobby, eating clocks. It's quite time consuming.
Thanks for being such a great voice for Hunters in these times! quality, ethical footage all the time. I appreciate that.
So impressed with the Pure Elevation team packing up camp every day and hiking around all day with that on their back. Bow Hunters are built different! haha
Thanks for talking about failure. As a coach I always talk to my kids about failure and how to handle it. Life lessons happen in every situation if you look for them. As always thanks for what you do.
To be able to watch the BEST hunters of the west all in one show is awesome.. Keep up the good work, thanks again.
What an experience! Congrats on filling the tag! I’m 38 now and have only been hunting about 4 years now. Learning a lot, and teaching my kids along the way. I’d say perseverance is probably the biggest lesson I’ve encountered. I believe it was Wayne Gretzky who said, “You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take.” That is something I’ve always taken to heart. I still haven’t successfully hunted an elk, but without pushing through when things were rough, I wouldn’t have two deer under my belt either. Thank you guys for sharing your knowledge and experiences!
Excellent video! Thanks you for all the positive feed back! I really enjoy watching destination elk! Congratulations on your bull Corey! 🙌🏼👏🏼🔥
Beautiful country you’re all in. Things happen fast is a correct statement! Congratulations on a great bull!
So from "Time to Time" I like Donnie's jokes 🤣. The series it self has been great, it really shows the true toughness of the hunts. Also crazy to see how thick it is over hunting Oregon. That has got to be tough.
All around great job pushing through! Endure and overcome are two of my favorite words. No matter the circumstances, keep pushing. Sometimes when you least expect is when it happens! Love all the teams and watching different terrain, weather, and the elk habits on Rocky Mountain vs Roosevelts.
Another great episode. Pretty cool getting a shot opportunity on a fighting elk, that's got to be a very special memory. Congratulations!
Tyler and Lenny grinding it out shows what real elk hunting is like. Congrats Corey!
Congrats on a great bull on a great encounter! This episode shows the importance of staying mentally in the game, as it cant change so fast
Love the format and action. Goes to show ya it can change in a heart beat, 0-100 after one rise. Pretty awesome that you came up on them fighting, that's a piece of heaven.
Way to go Corey! Glad you lucked out. All the more special after a difficult start to the hunt.
Love that you guys capture the high highs and low lows of elk hunting. Definitely a mental strength game sometimes🍻
Congrats!!! Being Elk Tough is no joke. Certainly a good reminder to be ready all the time. Ya never know when it’s going to happen! Cool setting
Congrats Corey! My wife and I really look forward to the episodes. Thanks!
It puts chills down my spine hearing an elk scream back at you. I can't imagine what its like in person!
Way to keep grinding and staying focused! You were right on point when you said "its easy to say lets just take the morning off". Elk hunting is just as much about being mentally fit as it is physically fit! Cant wait for the next episode!
That might be the worse dad joke Donnie has said yet! Haha loving the content, go team pure elevation!
I gotta say Cory and Donny, it makes me smile seeing that you upgraded your bows to the Prime In-line series. I purchased the same bow and I love it!! Maybe someday I’ll get the chance to put an Elk down with it! I just have to get myself “In-line” with a big bull! 😂
You always have to laugh and be amazed at how things work out. It seems like the majority of the footage this season has all the guys hunting with their bows on their back. My uncle Corey is in his 60's, has been bowhunting for over a decade, always has his bow in his hand if it's shooting light, and has never shot an elk. Lo and behold in this episode, the Elk101 team has their packs on nearly the entire time and still get a bull.
Wow what an episode. Bulls fighting! A kill! Donnie jokes! And a back to the future reference! My only gripe is that I wish the episodes were longer. We need at least an hour per show! Another great show. I can’t believe the clarity or the camera work.
It is comforting to see that even the best elk hunters have tough, demoralizing days...a reminder that PMA is the #1 "skill" in archery elk hunting
Amazing job! These videos get me super exited for season. Fourth year archery hunting Oregon and Washington with many close encounters. Nothing more exciting than days in the woods and hearing those bulls bugle!
Awesome Shot Cory. I like seeing the change of tactics. Nice to see things don’t always work from calls but we all should be adapting.
Keep the education coming fellas. Thanks so much. Im recliner bound for the next few months for Chemo. Really enjoying the winter education. Just keep looking forward to getting back on my feet.
Best elk show available. So much fun and I learn a lot while I am not able to be in the woods myself.
That moment you realize you didn't need that joke explained! Can't wait for the next episode!
Way to keep grinding guys. Some days are just tougher then others, being able to push through the hard times is what separates a lot of elk hunters.
I like hearing the Skousens discuss their thought process as they make decisions.
Not sure what goes on behind the camera, but it always amazes me how Donnie continues to haul heavy loads for others, considering he’s blown his knee out several times! Great episode!
Awesome! Elk !!! elk 101 is the best RUclips, podcast, and website to ever help you elk hunt... These boys know their stuff
I really like watching Skousen brothers hunt. I like the spot and stalk approach and like to use horses in the mountains, so it all comes together in their hunts for me. Keep up the great work you two!
After Corey shoots and turns around and yells get your bow haha Donnie just enjoying the filming. Great partners
Congratulations. We always take luck. Right place, right time and glad you were able to capitalize on that opportunity.
Elk fighting and then executing a perfect kill shot!?! All caught on camera?!?! Absolutely incredible footage guys! It doesn't get ANY better than this. Amazing stuff. This is truly a blessing to have this kind of encounter with nature. Thank you for bringing it to us. Congrats you guys!
Prime example of how important it is to stay persistent. Your luck can change so quickly even when it seems there’s no chance for an improvement
Patience and persistence pays off! That is awesome! Crazy how fast it changes and then you get an opportunity. Days of learning and struggling before paid off!
Luck really can change in a matter of seconds, I second that for sure! You have to climb the mountain to create opportunity..... great lines and true principles! Thanks guys!
That shot while the elk were fighting was awesome. Talk about the right place at the right time.
Frustration only comes to those who do not elk hunt. Stay motivated out there and keep that content coming! Thank you!
I love it when things happen quick! My very first bull elk happened like that rifle hunting eastern Idaho. My sons first elk also happened that way! Glad you were lucky enough to be ready!
The Tyson Hemsworth joke from an episode or two ago has been quite the hit at work 😂😂😂
What a hunt!! That was awesome. Getting to see 2 bulls fighting that close, and to get one of those bulls down. EPIC!! Congrats Corey on another amazing bull and experience. Thankyou for sharing brother!
Congrats on a nice bull with a great shot! It always surprises me how little they can bleed at first. Way to keep after it and thank you for sharing your knowledge. Great episode!
"He's only about 3 miles away." These are my kind of people! Open country elk are not easy, but they are fun to chase.
Great stuff guys! What crazy moment that was. You never know what’s over the hill. Great advice on always be at the ready. Oh and I do remember McFly, the professor and the Dolorian. That was a good one Doney!
Fantastic episode! Yes, things can change quickly. I've never seen a bull shot while fighting. So cool. Thanks guys!
I am enjoying the format this year! But wish the hunts were longer-can’t get enough.
Persistence-may be the archery hunters greatest obstacle. In 2022 my hunting partner and I both blew opening morning opportunities. We hunted hard for 8 days and we’re mentally exhausted.
I waited out the muzzleloader season and recharged my batteries. I was blessed with a nice 5x5 bull on September 23, one I didn’t call in either. Chasing a couple of other bugles are paths divinely crossed and I had a nice broadside shot at 20 yards.
Thank you both and your sponsors for great content.
You guys are great at finding elk. The class you offer is pure gold as well.
Idaho is a beautiful place. I hope to get out there soon and chase elk! Every season of Destination Elk has been fun to watch. This season has been the best one yet! Great job guys!
I was just thinking awesome it is that Corey and Donnie conducted the survey last year after the series and made adjustments for their audience. Thank you guys for not only bringing great content but also for listening to your audience and viewers. Awesome!
Definitely liking the format with 4 teams and a little chit chat afterwards. Great season.
Cool stuff, I totally agree with having your bow ready, if I have a tag in my pocket and it's season, I am carrying my bow!
Can't imagine what kind of a rush that would be. Just the anticipation of seeing to bulls that are looking to fight gets the adrenaline flowing, seeing that would be over the top.
Kinda cool seeing you guys sit and wait for a change. Doing something outside your comfort zone
Great episode. On those days when it starts getting to you, it's really, really nice to have a buddy that can help with the motivation. Sometimes, what gets me up is knowing I'll be letting my buddy down if I don't get up and go. Several times, later in the day, I find out that he was feeling the same way. :) Enjoyed watching this one. Thanks for sharing.
Been hunting for years and never been able to see two bulls in a knock-down-drag-out fight. Always a dream of mine!
Thanks for sharing that awesome experience! Definitely a dream to witness that someday. Decent joke, classic movie! Takes me back in time 😂
This series certainly strikes a chord with all of us regular elk hunters, who put in the miles going from failure to failure. We live for those brief moments when the wind is good, and the bulls are busy fighting each other and don’t notice the shaky camo hunter on the sidelines! Keep the great content rolling!
I hear you on "be ready," I missed an elk with my bow in a sling, now I carry it in hand everywhere!
Great seeing you guys at the western hunting expo! You were right Donnie, this episode was fantastic.
What a great FIRST! no matter how many years go by, there are always firsts! If there is any reason to keep motivated it's just that! Congrats
Congrats Corey! Getting fired up with every bugle and drawn bow...
Destination Elk, as good as it gets, keep getting after it, loving every minute!
Love how quick it comes together when it finally does. Well done sir
Congrats Corey. Great job on not spooking the bulls out of the area and not give in up!
Congratulations Corey! Wish this episode came out a week earlier before I saw you at Salt Lake. Great bull. One day soon I'll have that feeling of walking up on a bull again. Looking forward to the next episode Donnie!
Congratulations Corey on a great Elk hunt. Also great job to all the other teams for sticking with it, I really like the horses it just adds some to the hunt. God's Blessings to you all
What a cool fighting bull shot! That is a great story to tell all your hunting buddies for years to come.
What a great episode, and a great reminder that elk can be anywhere so you have to always need to be ready
Awesome shot Corey!!! I am sooo happy since I purchased the pack you guys use. Last fall it made my elk hunt so much easier on my body and mind. I haven't used it to the full extent yet and it was awesome seeing how you guys used it to load up the meat bags in the best way possible.
Really cool hunting scenario for team Elk101! From an elk behavior stand point, the bulls were likely sparring as opposed to “fighting” especially since they were making the mewing noises while lightly making antler contact. Definitely getting ready to break up those bachelor groups though and setting up a hierarchy before getting into serious brawls!
Congrats Corey, what a cool experience. Loving this format and can't wait for more action. Thanks guys
What a great bull, I can’t imagine what it’s like to come over a rise and be that close to 2 bulls fighting! Congrats!
