This is why they’re are nothing but rag horns anymore. Not that I pass on many elk, but it’s just the amount of hunters has increased and nobody is picky.
Great to see Angry Spike be successful. They hiked their butts off in the previous season episodes with no luck. I like how each group takes the time to be informative to everyone watching. You feel like your hunting with every group.
Love the episodes! It inspired me to start archery Elk hunting two years ago. Also, took the University of Elk101 course. Each year I have got a little closer to the Elk. Something about hearing a bugle in the Idaho mountains gets the blood pumping! Hopefully I will harvest an Elk this year!
Is it weird my wife and I look forward to these episodes being released like we do Yellowstone episodes?! Tuesday and Thursday evenings are booked on our calendar through March 14!
Love the bouncing from one type of terrain to another and seeing how the groups navigate each terrain to get on elk. Open country to timbered forest to costal brush! Congratulations team Angry Spike for getting on the board first.
Still loving the intro music! Don’t ever change it. It still amazes me the content that you produce for us viewers. Very informative and continues to put us viewers right there with you.
Tuesdays and Thursdays are the perfect days, and as much as I hate to wait it sure is nice to have something to look forward to in the dead of winter!😉👍
Dang that was some great work by Shannon. He didn't hesitate or anything. He got into position and got it done. Pure instincts that's pretty fun to watch
Good stuff, huge respect for those that know what they want and are willing to work and wait for it... I like this quote...“If your effort is not big enough, your excuses will be”
I'm so excited!! Watching your episodes gets me pumped for backcountry elk hunting this coming fall! *cue my boyfriend loudly practicing his elk call in the house 🤣
Two elk up close and personal, one we (camera) could see and one in the thick nasty! I love seeing the slobber/snot coming out of them because they’re all worked up, so cool. Great shot Angry Spike in the thick’n nasty stuff!
Awesome hunts as usual from Destination Elk 101. Congratulations to Shannon on a really Nice bull! I don’t think I would’ve passed that nice bull up from Team Pure Elevation. Enjoyed this episode and thanks to all of the sponsors that made this episode possible!
So glad to have this in the winter. The BRO guys are great and have really put a ton of work in to what they put out, but Destination elk is what I can't wait to see!
Awesome stone oven for a hot day. I appreciate the insights on hunting now but also researching what can be done later that day or tomorrow. Great advise! The patience and persistence these guys show is a great reminder to stay in the game.
Oregon Boys getting it done, looks like a nice Roosevelt. Can't wait to see the rest of the crews be successful. Great content on the close encounter as well.
Big elk101 fan started watching destination elk 2 years ago, actually first year to ever archery hunt and first Elk kill using the elk 101 champ call. Have been a die-hard fan since thank you for all that you do. Can't wait to see the rest of V5.
Good for Team Angry spike. Shannon and Corey are hunting some very nasty coastal mountain range. Glad the are in the board. Perseverance is the pinnacle of Corey Jacobson strategy for success. You are creating some of the most awesome content. Good luck to all the teams. Regards, David
Congratulations on filling that first tag! The is an awesome bull. I like the cluster on the right side! Thank you for the pointers on hunting the open country. 🙌🏼👏🏼🔥
I’m glad that bugle berry is year round now. My wife and I love getting some bugle berry for a little daily energy but definitely when we are out on the mountain hunting.
Great encounters and nice to see the guys be successful. But love to see the close call ins within 50 yds! I can't thank you enough for keeping me material coming at this time of year.
I feel like I waited forever for this series to come out! Such good timing though when most of the other hunting channels are running out of videos of the season. I watch on my TV so had to make time to come back and comment on them all. That young bull is built nicely, he is going to be big and thick in a few years!!
You guys have me shopping for a bow, used to bowhunt elk, but life gets busy. retired this year and am ready to hunt again. Thanks for the entertainment!
I always feel like I am right there on the Hunt. The same thoughts go through my mind as I see the different situations unfold. I don’t have as many dad jokes, but I’ve been known to share a few. The great thing is, I can enjoy 6 1/2 hours on a hot hillside with no elk in about 15 minutes! Thanks for all your work and congratulations team Angry Spike.
Having a bull in as close as that bull was to Tyler and Ty is just one of the coolest parts of Elk hunting! Calling bulls in that you don't plan on shooting and just watching and just to see just how close you can get them is just plain fun! Dad had a limited entry tag this past season, so we got to do that several times. So much fun!

You would think RUclips would do something about it but nope never happens
Just asking on how you notify the winners
Its been happening to Dan at ElkShape also. Totally sucks because I thought I won a new bow!
Thought I won on episode 1. Thanks for a quick response from Daniel from Elk101.
Nice bull!!
I respect hunters who can pass up animals. Full send for me on that 5 point.
Yeah, I don’t see enough bulls in the time I have to hunt to pass on any bulls!
First day, last day saying for me. Definitely would have been packing
That bull and a shot opportunity like that I would have shot too.
Never pass on a bull. Especially at that range. This is the best elk hunting group on RUclips. Look forward to your videos
This is why they’re are nothing but rag horns anymore. Not that I pass on many elk, but it’s just the amount of hunters has increased and nobody is picky.
Mad respect for Oregon hunters. That coastal rain forest is intense. What a super close and intimate hunting style!
It's incredibly challenging and also fulfilling! Nothing like it.
Great to see Angry Spike be successful. They hiked their butts off in the previous season episodes with no luck. I like how each group takes the time to be informative to everyone watching. You feel like your hunting with every group.
So glad Elk 101 is putting out 2 videos per week . Thanks for not making us wait forever . Ready for today's release of an arrow !
‘Hope to hunt the Roosevelts one day.
Oh we waited forever 🤣
great watching always something to learn
Can't believe how calm Shannon remains after the shot at that range. Great Job!
I love the combination of multiple hunting teams with different strategies
Who needs cable tv when great content like this is available. Thanks for sharing your hunts, experience and knowledge with everyone.
We have cleared out schedules so we can watch every episode! How do you get rid of cabin fever? Watch Corey and Donnie and the boys!
I take that 5 point. I couldn't hold back. Too sweet.
Is it weird my wife and I look forward to these episodes being released like we do Yellowstone episodes?! Tuesday and Thursday evenings are booked on our calendar through March 14!
Great episode!

Real world hunting on public land....thanks guys for keeping it real!
Tuesdays and Thursdays are the perfect days, and as much as I hate to wait it sure is nice to have something to look forward to in the dead of winter!😉👍
That was crazy when they got that bull 15 yards away! Congratulations!! My heart was pumping on this episode!
You know it's a good episode when you go "Oh come onnnn!" when the add starts lol.
Dang that was some great work by Shannon. He didn't hesitate or anything. He got into position and got it done. Pure instincts that's pretty fun to watch
How intense was that close and loud. Can't believe the crazy thick brush of Oregon and the way they hunt it.
Crazy how fast that bull was al of a sudden right on top of them, good reason to always be ready!
Thanks for the video
Thank you all for taking us on these adventures!!! See ya for the first one of my life at 53 in Colorado!!!! Many blessings y'all 🙌 🙏
Good stuff, huge respect for those that know what they want and are willing to work and wait for it... I like this quote...“If your effort is not big enough, your excuses will be”
Success for Angry Spike!! I can’t imagine hunting in such thick territory. My heart would have been pounding outta my chest 😮
I'm so excited!! Watching your episodes gets me pumped for backcountry elk hunting this coming fall! *cue my boyfriend loudly practicing his elk call in the house 🤣
The encounter with the 5 point bull really gets the blood puming, which makes me ready for this season hunt. Can't wait.
Being a west coast hunter I love seeing Roosevelt hunting. Shannon is one of the best at it! Great job and episode.
Two elk up close and personal, one we (camera) could see and one in the thick nasty! I love seeing the slobber/snot coming out of them because they’re all worked up, so cool. Great shot Angry Spike in the thick’n nasty stuff!

This is the best hunting show out! it's not just about kill shots it's about the journey for me!
So glad to have this in the winter. The BRO guys are great and have really put a ton of work in to what they put out, but Destination elk is what I can't wait to see!
When the tree s started shaking 5 yards from him it got my heart racing haha. Sweet video
Love these real stories. Authentic elk hunting experiences.
I had a bull in that close 2 years ago. It’ll sure make your heart race! Nothing like the wild you feel in that moment. Keep it coming!
Awesome stone oven for a hot day. I appreciate the insights on hunting now but also researching what can be done later that day or tomorrow. Great advise! The patience and persistence these guys show is a great reminder to stay in the game.
Thank you guys for all you do and being true heroes simply by being who you truly are and inspiring others!!!
“You’re going to be Thor tomorrow!” By far one of my favs! Love watching the videos and all the teams progression. Thanks for sharing!
What a shot in that thick brush, takes a whole other level to hunt in that terrain can’t wait to see the other stories unfold
One heck of a way to start the season! As fast as it starts is as fast as it ends
You never know which team is going to get it done. Love seeing all the different challenges.
Love seeing all the action from the get go of the season! Perfect example of Oregon coast hunting. Great job guys!
One passed on, one down. Every hunter is different, every situation is different. Great episode 2!!!
Angry spike strikes a dandy!! Way to go guys!!
Love those coastal rosies! Antlers are always so unique.
Oregon Boys getting it done, looks like a nice Roosevelt. Can't wait to see the rest of the crews be successful. Great content on the close encounter as well.
Awesome job gentlemen! Love the content and thank you for the opportunity! Love watching all the teams! Always anxious for the next episode!
I can’t believe you sat all day. Putting in the time pays off. Keep it up!
The "Lessons learned" is awesome. Thank you for dropping that knowledge.
Yes!! So pumped to see angry spike punch that elk. So cool how quick that all happened. Makes me feel like heavy timber might actually produce!
It’s footage like this that keeps me coming back for more!
Big elk101 fan started watching destination elk 2 years ago, actually first year to ever archery hunt and first Elk kill using the elk 101 champ call. Have been a die-hard fan since thank you for all that you do. Can't wait to see the rest of V5.
Props for having the control to pass on that 5. Glad to see that it worked out.
Each episode keeps me on the edge of my seat. The suspense kills me. Love see the hunters being successful. Great job Shannon.
Unbelievable footage. You guys truly do live the life. A unreachable goal for me. But a dream.
Congratulations on filling that first tag! The is an awesome bull. I like the cluster on the right side! Thank you for the pointers on hunting the open country. 🙌🏼👏🏼🔥
Great episode guys !! watching that 5x5 at 10 yards had my heart pumping !! I would let an arrow fly !! Can't wait to see the next episode !!
Nothing better than an opening day bull! So hard to pass those big boys up when they are so close.
What a fun episode! Beautiful elk in beautiful country and seeing a nice bull down is always a plus! Congratulations guys!
The bush elk!!! Talk about up close and personal, man that must be exciting
That country you all hunt in is crazy thick! Kudos for tagging out in that stuff. Great film.
I’m glad that bugle berry is year round now. My wife and I love getting some bugle berry for a little daily energy but definitely when we are out on the mountain hunting.
Great footage on the 5 point. Thank you sponsors for helping bring us these videos.
That escalated quickly! That's a stud bull for Oregon! That was an awesome video!
Good job Shannon. Living on the Oregon coast myself I know how hard it can be getting a perfectly clear shot in this thick country. Way to go!
Great encounters and nice to see the guys be successful. But love to see the close call ins within 50 yds! I can't thank you enough for keeping me material coming at this time of year.
It's great to watch all the elk action just before pulling out the credit card for application season. Thanks guys!
Team Angry Spike got it done in some thick stuff I was expecting it to show up right on top of them good job can't wait for the next episode.
Glad to see the Oregon crew down one this season. Feel the pain of empty tags, but I'm glad they've stuck with it and this program has stuck with them
So awesome. Hell of a bull in Oregon! I can't wait for all the rest of the amazing footage you guys will be sharing!

I watch on my TV so had to make time to come back and comment on them all. That young bull is built nicely, he is going to be big and thick in a few years!!
Just when I was running out of off season hunting content to keep me motivated, Elk 101 comes through. 👍
Congratulations Mr Mobbs on a dandy bull! He looked like you called him straight outta the swimming hole!
Always awesome seeing the different types of terrain everyone is hunting. This just makes me even more excited for Sept.
Blows my mind how dense things are for the Shannon and Colt. That is one tough way to hunt. Got 'r done though! Nice work, boys!
You guys have me shopping for a bow, used to bowhunt elk, but life gets busy. retired this year and am ready to hunt again. Thanks for the entertainment!
This format is what last season was missing. Thanks!
Loving this show guy's. Thanks for all the hard work. Excited to see Shannon putting one down early this year!
Great self control passing up that bull. Not sure I could do that!!
Another excellent episode
Great start! Less groups will be easier to follow and maybe even learn from individual techniques from each. Bring it!
Love the crown on that Bull reminds me of a Red Deer.
Great to see Team Angry Spike be successful early on. Great reminder how thick the west side of Oregon is.
I always feel like I am right there on the Hunt. The same thoughts go through my mind as I see the different situations unfold. I don’t have as many dad jokes, but I’ve been known to share a few. Pure awesomeness!!! ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT
Even knowing you didnt plan to get that guy, hearing it that close was awesome and exciting!
The Lefty put the smack down on that bull. Nice work.
Great episode 2! Nice setup and calling PE. Nice Blast Shannon. Way to go, Angry Spike!
Just getting back to these videos, still love what you guys do. It's great to see how different groups hunt and what works for them.
This was a fun one! I love seeing angry spike get it done in that thick stuff!
Yes, I’m behind but all caught up now! Great episode! How awesome to tag out on day one! 👊
So glad to see the Angry Spike notch that tag. Being from Oregon I rooted for them them last season as well.
Great job in thick country guys! Glad you got the opportunity!
Wow! so there are elk in Oregon. Can’t wait to see you two take one out there. Just keep going!!!
Such a cool bull and in such tight cover really raises the excitement level!
