We are so excited to bring this film to life and to have you all join us on this wild adventure!
YES! I’ve been beyond excited to be able to finally watch this footage! I have listened to Ep: 138 from your podcast more times than I should admit! I’m 10 minutes into this film and it’s spot on with the podcast! You guys painted a picture of what an amazing wild adventure this hunt was on your podcast. To finally see the actual footage is WOW! Bravo 👏
Was excited to listen to the podcast about this hunt and even knowing the outcome the video was amazing. Strong work gentlemen.
MULE DEER…. GET ME THE POPCORN FOLKS
@@SlickNick21 Enjoy brother!
@@davidwest3281 Thanks so much man!
2024 Washington deer season ended for me on Sunday 10-13. I was fortunate enough to harvest a 3x2 Mule Deer. This buck marks 30 years in a row I have filled my deer tag. Looking back I am so thankful for all of the memories and experiences. Now at 42 years old, I hope to enjoy and be healthy enough for another 30. Enjoyed the video and congratulations on your 3x3 Jeff.
I live in Washington state and we hunt that wilderness area every other year . We bounce back and forth to another wilderness area in the same state . We take horses in to get back in ,far from the most energetic hike in hunters. We are truly disappointed at what has happened to Washingtons herds over the last two plus decades. Between poor management and the lack of managing wolves, the game herds are being decimated and Washington states supposedly well educated wildlife managers are uncaring and steadfast in their agenda , which seems to be an all out war, an annihilation of all game herds in the state . Much like the Federal guberment is doing in most all other states !
🫶🏻
Same thing happened in Idaho. The game is gone whereas pre-1995 it was plentiful. The game dept still sells tags despite.
You guys get your grizzly installment yet?? 🤦♂️
If you expect the government to handle anything efficiently and properly, you'll always be disappointed
One of the better hunting videos I’ve watched! Every aspect of the hunt and the adventure was portrayed perfectly on film! Job well done!
One of my favorite hunting films of all time! Thanks for showing the ups and downs and joys and struggles! Thanks for showing all the memories made and friendships strengthened and not just focusing on the kill shot💯
Man, I truly love reading comments like this. Means a ton to me. Appreciate such kind words.
Jeff R
OH LET'S GOOOO!! 🔥🔥🔥
Hope you enjoy it brother!
Always love seeing Washington hunting films. And I always love supporting a fellow Washington Hunter
Thanks so much man!
You guys nailed it! Great video. Love how you all just get after it. Don't care where they are, you're willing to do what it takes. It's becoming a lost art with the younger generation. The comedy along the way.. awesome!
“Don’t forget your insoles”I literally LMAO when I heard that because BTDT!GREAT film boys!
DUDE. So damn funny hahaha
Great film!
I can appreciate the effort that goes into a deep backcountry hunt but filming it on top of that adds such another layer of complexity.
Great job guys!
Thank you very much!
Great video! Thanks for sharing. That wilderness is a special place.
The wolf 360° thing was cool!
They’re welcoming you in, a true wild omen.
It was truly insane! What a wild moment
Sat here watching in the uk. I stalk deer in Scotland but I would love to hunt in country like that. Love the film
Appreciate you!
Love the video!! 55 Years in Washington, haven't hunted in over 30 years!!!! Love the area. Great job.
Awesome as always!! Thanks for all you guys do for the community.
Our pleasure! Thanks so much for the kind words!
Awesome film! Pumps me up even more for my October WA mule deer hunt. Looking forward to more films from you all. 👍🏼
Fantastic film. I love the calm and peaceful vibe of the experience you captured. And way to express appreciation for hearing the wolves and running into the fish and wildlife officers. Great job guys!
Thanks Scott! Appreciate that!
Hands down the best film I have watched!! Beautiful country, well worth the wait.
WOW! Thank you so much, really means a lot to hear these comments!
Epic hunt gentleman. My motto has always been the trophy is in the size of the memories not the inches. Great video
Amen man! Love that! Thanks for watching brother.
What an adventure!!!! Lifetime memories 🤘🤘🇺🇲🇺🇲♥️🦌🦌
Amen brother!
Amazing film! If watching this doesn't make you wanna load your pack and head for the mountains to hunt, nothing probably will! Congratulations fellas, another great film!
Awesome film! As always you fellas did a wonderful job of taking the viewers along on the adventure with you! Keep em coming!
Really appreciate that!!!
I am not hunting far from you, just over the border to the North. Damn the PNW needs more content like this, we have some of the most challenging and interesting bush around!
Appreciate that!
What a great film! This was definitely a heart filling film with so much adventure definitely one my favorite films! Here’s to 2024 season 🍻
Thank you so much!
Excellent video, only gets better with time as you’ll have shown! Life is truly more than just the hunt and you boys have found that common ground
Well said!
Finally!!! I’ve been waiting for this film to drop.
So glad its finally out!
Awesome video! Good job guys! Making me look forward to hunting season in Washington this year.
Really appreciate this man! Good luck this season!
Very cool trip and congratulations on the buck!!! Your definition of Trophy is spot on with my hunting family and I. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you so much!
Excellent film guys! What an epic hunt, and an inspiring adventure you captured. I really enjoyed the way you put this together. Great use of the music throughout, and the way you told the story through the days. Very well done guys! Makes me want to put that pack back on and go deep into the mountains!
Rowan, you're just the man, appreciate you so much. Thanks for the support brother! Means alot
Pretty nice. The only time I've ever seen a wolf is in Yellowstone. It's a bummer America has become so unwild.
had 2 diff. encounters with wolves in eastern Okanagan county! one was a small pack of about 5 out hunting in an open farm field with a marsh in the middle! the other was a lone huge male sitting on a rock 75 yds away watching me move thru a small clearcut in the .N.Forest about 5 miles from the other sighting on consecutive days! east of Oroville about 20 miles,so cool!
such incredible memories! Wild experience no doubt!
Probably the best movie I’ve ever watched and I watch a lot! Keep up the great work you guys deserve more!! Thumbs up fellows!!
WOW.. Thank you so very much, Really means alot to me.
Great movie. I remember listening to y’all discuss the trip last year. Glad y’all could get it straightened out with the USFS for the video. I can’t wait to see the next one.
Thank you so much!
another incredible film. Thanks boys!
Glad you enjoyed it!
That view at 21 and 1/2 minutes is so beautiful
It truly was stunning
Great film and story guys! Thanks for sharing!

Great film fellas, worth the wait! From the howls to the smallest background sound brought us with ya’ll on every moment.
Thanks so much!
Great hunt guys! Thanks for sharing that.
Thanks Steve!
You three are badass! Nothing like the adventure of the back country with your brothers. Great video!
Thanks so much man!! Appreciate you
Great film really loved the message at the end, couldn’t agree more. Thanks for sharing guys and best of luck!
Thanks so much!!
Congratulations on your harvest truly makes me wish I was 30tears younger
This was such an awesome video! Makes me want to get out deep into the woods and push myself. Thank you guys for the inspiration!
Really appreciate that! Go get em man!
Super cool video! Loved seeing the wolf experience y’all encountered. Question, what water filtration system do you use? I’m headed to do a back country hunt this fall and just want to weigh my options. Thanks in advance! Can’t wait to see more of what y’all share.
Hey man thanks so much! On this trip we used the Katadyn hiker pro
Wish I could give this 5 thumbs up!! Good job.
Thanks man!
Your video is a great watch! Thanks for sharing it.
Thanks for watching!
Bob had the best line “not at work” yep got to love it 😂
hahaha amen brother
Keep that type of music. PERFECT!
Really appreciate that! Our guy Kevin Graham is the man.
Tough hunt lots of work for a small deer, but the memories will last you lifetime
Most definitely
Nice work guys! 👊
Damn… just, damn. You guys are really bringing the heat with this one.
The narration, use and tone of music through out the film, peaks into camp life and views, the realness of the situation and showing the real meaning of being out there… just a killer film.
You better be careful though, you’ll F around and show people WA’s versatility and variability of land. This was an awesome depiction of a side of WA most people never would think existed.
Badass video, can’t wait to see the next go round.
Wow man..... such kind words! Cant thank you enough, Really appreciate this type of comment. Absolutely motivates me to continue pushing forward! Thanks so much! Jeff R
Dudes! Excellent job putting this video together! Quality is top notch! Good work fellas! 👏 👏👏
Thanks so much man! Appreciate that!
What a badass film! Well done guys!
Thanks so much!
Great cinematography in this video. Awesome to put film with the podcast. Buck down
Thanks so much!!!
Thanks for sharing. Just curious though, does anyone besides me just go hunting to enjoy it themselves? Does everything need to be on video?
We just happen to carry cameras with us on our adventures. Appreciate you being respectful with your comment tho invites a great conversation.
If I tried to film it would look like trash😂 love a good adventure though- Animals or no animals. Thankful for videos like this to keep me motivated to stay in shape and keep putting in work e-scouting throughout the year.
But ya… pictures and memories will suffice for me
Great film, I only made in 8 miles on that trial. I always wonders what I looked like back there, thank you for making that happen for me. God bless
God bless
Honest question, I'm seeing more and more open bottom tents/shelters and unsure what the advantage to having one is? I'm assuming weight but given you packed in by mules I can't imagine that much of a savings. Open bottom tents your bound by mud, rain, snow, etc as opposed to closed bottom ones.
Weight to size ratio is uneatable, we only got packed in on horse a little over half way we still had to hike roughly 14 miles on foot to our main base camp. and the floorless shelters allow you to use a stove, which we didnt have on this trip. Thanks for watching!
When you’re young you can travel in the back country and when you’re older you do more analyzing of the places you want to hunt, you start thinking like the old bucks
Makes a lot of sense. Thanks for watching tim 🙏🏼
Great video boys! Nice edits and storytelling. Keep it coming.
Appreciate you brother!
Beautiful film guys. I love your films. Keep it up. Michael
Thank you! Will do! Appreciate you michael
Hey guys, man, I really enjoyed this hunt. As I was following along I couldn't help but think, how awesome would it be to be along on a hunt like this. Great camera work, great editing, great guys. I really enjoyed this hunt. Thank you so much for bringing us along!! Jay from Pa.
Jay, Thanks so much man! Really appreciate the kind words! All the best brother! Jeff from Wa
You guys and Argali make the most epic hunting/outdoor films on the internet!!!
Really appreciate that! Our friends over at Argali are amazing!
Wow, nice job on this guys! This is inspiring for sure.
Thank you!
3 stars. Not many videos on Eastern WA mule deer, so that’s cool.
The wolves have been howling in north east Washington for years now. Its common to hear them nowadays. But, it was very eerie the first time i heard them in my hunting area.
ohh totally, Just our first time ever. It was an amazing experience.
Such a bummer you guys can't get Wolf tags in WA! Great film thanks for sharing.
Awesome film. Love the title and the approach you all took on this adventure.
Really appreciate that!
Good watching!
Here in New Zealand, the experiences are so different. But the feelings are so similar.
I’d love to experience hunting in your part of the world one day.
Thanks so much brother! I hope you get to come experience it someday!
@@PNWild get in touch if you are ever in NZ.
Great video guys really like this one well I like all your stuff but this one was really cool.

Thanks so much!
Hands down the best Washington State film I have ever seen. you guys are going to have a hard time topping this one next year. Hope yall do and bring us along with you!
wow thanks so much!
@@PNWild no. thank you I've been hunting the pnw since I was a little kid. And have been waiting for years for a good Washington hunting film with everything in it like this!
I enjoyed the video.👍👍
Glad you enjoyed it
Funny I was worried when I jumped from a mystery ranch to a stone glacier, I was worried if it was worth the money and was worried that that the stone glacier was “old technology” but your 100% right there stone glacier just works!
We run EXO mountain gear but yes! stones seem like a great pack!
Thanks for sharing. What mm lenses do you guys use on these deep hunts? One do it all zoom?
Thank you! Jeff used a 24-105mm and Zack had the 15-35mm
👏I can't wait for your return trip, if possible have drop camp in a little farther with the stove? Gatters? And Snowshoes? Go deep for the big hanks.
Amazing thanks guys 😊🇺🇸
Glad you enjoyed it
This is the first film I’ve ever seen from you guys and I must say, it was pretty good in my opinion! You guys got after it in this one man that’s a long ways! I’m now subscribing to this channel and am going to watch the elk hunting one for this! Nice filmmaking skills!
Dude! Thanks so much for the kind words! Glad you enjoyed it brother!
Good work boys! 🔥🫡🤙🏻
Thanks brother! Appreciate you!
Solid work men/hardcore country
Thank you so much!
Phenomenal content fellas!
Thank you so much!
Way to go fellas! Hiking with no insoles. Ah, yes. Been there done that and I'd rather not do it again, lol.
Hahahah goobers. Thanks man!
The LEOs for the forest service were "SHOCKED" to see you so far into the backcountry and said you are the only hunters in the whole area but then proceeded to tell you that wearing orange is the priority over all else. You guys handled that well. You didn't even laugh at the irony of that comment.
Hahaha good point. Yeah it was a really good conversation but yea they were definitely adamant about wearing orange.
Great film
Enjoyed the video.
Glad to hear it!
This far in ,30 miles, where did the paths or trails come from you were walking? Looked pretty worn in. Great filming. Really enjoyed it
Very good video guys
Glad you enjoyed it
Awesome film
Thank you!
Sweet video dudes!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Warden warned us you boys were up there last year, so I had to look it up. He asked if I knew who you where and I said no, my partner said "those boys are obnoxious!" lol. I have never taken a day off in the back country, that must be really nice. My wife isn't happy if I don't come home with meat though, I do it so my family can eat good meat, not because I get paid to. Thanks for encouraging that's aspect of it, so important and lost in the industry still.
I wouldn't do it on a snowy day though (the day off with a tag in my pocket) that's the best day to loop through feed and measure up what's out there and where! I believe the rules are pack it in pack it out. Probably shouldn't announce or premote anything other then that.
Wolf were cool, always amazing to encounter them. Do you think you could leave the ridge blasting to a minimum? You had a whole interview in front of one of the wildernesses most prominent peaks 😅. I mean, I guess when it's all said and done at least you didn't show them anything but the areas smaller deer 😂.
A wise man who hunted the area years before me said "if your hunting for meat, I follow this one rule, shoot the first 4pt I see"
But I would shoot the biggest legal body I see. I shot a 4pt last year knowing he was small and I regretted it a bit. The biggest bodied deer I have gotten in those peaks was a 3pt. Almost twice the meat as last years 4pt.
Good luck on the next one, did you guys go in this year? It was my first year I haven't been in for about 12yrs. There's always regular season up there, with the crowds gone it can be even better
😂.
Awesome
Who makes the orange lid for your back pack. The upper bag. Thank you
How did the forest service guys get back 30 miles? I used to work for the forest service. They went back but not 20-30 miles. Good for those dudes doing their jobs well. We need more of them.
They were on horseback, dedicated folks that’s for sure.
@@PNWild awesome to see. Keep the shenanigans out of the woods. Great video so far.
Best statement of the whole video. “We are not at work”. Bingo Clark. Good stuff guys.
Bingo!
I’m torn between spending a day or two packing in somewhere vs spending that time hunting locally on private/public land. I like the prospect of putting in distance but it is a legitimate question here in Washington.
with all the other hunters there , it was good you had your orange on.
seriously
This is my backyard. Well eastern oregon is. And its every bit as epic, wild and beautiful. But you earn it in these mountains. Not for the faint of heart........
Truly is beautiful country! Were very blessed
