You have my exact dream car bro! The Carbonized Gray exterior and the red and black interior. IM IN LOVE HOMIE THATS SO DOPE 🤩
Thank you! Ordering the procharger stage 2 kit this week! HERE WE GO!
I've done multiple cars. Door panels center console and seats of course. $1200 for basic leather 1 color OEM stitching. $1750 cash last 2 cars diamond stitched 2 tone. Installed in and out the same day + retaining warranty if there's any wrinkle issues
You are the Shxt bro full blown tutorial needs more views and like man frfr
Awesome video man. I just got my Katzkin seats/door covers installed and I wanted to ask if your door handles had a bit of flex after the job was done? I suspect the shop may have not put all the self-tapping screws in, like you did in your video which is causing some flex in my door.
Did it ever tighten up. You could also use a hair blower
Any video installing the seat leather? Thx!
Do you have the video of you doing the seats
I just ordered Katzkins for my ‘22 Challenger, install included. She calls me back a day later and says that the leather door panels are included however installation of them will be another $200. Do you think it’s worth it to pay them to do it, or just shelve the leather and try it one day myself?
$200 to install the door panels? Yeah that’s not a bad price. It was a real hassle on the mustang because they fasten the material permanently
@@newfinishautospa ok, thanks, I have until the 5th to decide.
It looks good
Where did you get those super short small staples / stapler? I got my panel off and and ready to apply the new leather.
Home Depot had them
@@newfinishautospa nice. Thanks. I am doing it the way you did. I removed the old half leather/fabric insert cover. I would not do it any other way. Going over the existing one is just cheap and wrong, IMO. 👌🏼
I forgot to ask. Did the wrinkles work their way out, by chance?
beautiful. What do you wax our car with ?
I don’t generally use wax. I prefer the protection of a ceramic coating like crystal serum lite or armor shield 9
What kind of stapler did you use?
just a cheap one from home depot.
no need to remove the original accent just lay the new one over top
It depends on how thick the leather is, if it's too thick, it won't properly fit in the door handle. It would have tried that method first without adhesive to see if it fits first.
The stitched line has thickness and needs to sit down in the channel he showed. If you don’t remove the original leather, that stitch will be a huge lump.
It looks terrible 😂. The leather is wrinkled
Not acceptable. Respectfully!
Yeah the stock fit looks much better. The Katzkin is to wrinkly for my taste but I dig the color.
@@stevend813 he should have used a heat gun to soften the leather while it was on the panel
After about a month it was smooth smooth smooth lol. Give it a try
If your still paying attention to this thread, next time get a heat gun and heat and work the leather. The wrinkles will go away in front of your eyes.
Overall, great video. This will help many who wish to take on the same task
