I don't have a Hisense TV, mine it's an Insignia Roku TV, I've watched other videos of this issue, but you are the only one that pointed out something different. I don't show PCM, but I do show Passthrough, that worked! Now my audio come through the soundbar connected with optical cable. So, thank you!!!!
This helped! I couldn't get the audio to play through my center speaker on my surround system. I thought I damaged it when swapping out tvs. Test tone showed it was working but everything I played on the TV wouldn't play through the center speaker, only the other surround speakers. I changed the sound on the TV to PCM like you showed and Boom! It now works and sounds perfect once again!
We have a Hisense smart tv - integrated Roku. No sound bar, only tv speakers. Occasionally the audio goes out on apps but the Roku menu sounds still work. The fix is unplugging & replugging the TV.
Worked for me for my new tv, thank you. Do I have to go into settings if I want to go back to tv speakers tho? My previous (hisense) tv would send audio to both pc speakers and thro pcm. I don’t always want to use the external home cine sound, but when I did I would simply turn the tv volume right down. With my new hisense tv, it looks like you have to choose one or the other. Is this correct? Thanks in advance, Steve
It honestly depends on your TV itself because it varies by model and brand. Play around with the audio output settings and see if you can get audio through both speakers at the same time. If you have further questions, try contacting Hisense customer support.
The lost me at device preferences. There is no listed option under settings on my HIsense TV and no option to select PCM. I believe that I have to select this to get sound through my Bluetooth headphones through my Logitech receiver/transmitter. I am not getting any sound through the headset although the Bluetooth devise is flashing blue.
How is your transmitter connected to your TV? You only need to set your TV to PCM if you're using an Optical (Toslink) cable. Also, if your Bluetooth device is flashing blue, it's likely not paired properly. Try pairing the headphones and the transmitter again. You may need to perform a factory reset to get it to work.
@@Avantree Thank you for your reply. The Bluetooth flashes and then the message on my Iphone tells me that it is paired and connected and stays at blue. But there is no sound through the headphones The Bluetooth transmitter is connect to Hisense TV with a USB for power and the jack into the headphone port. There is then an onscreen message asking if I want to hear through headphones and TV speakers which I select. But there is still no sound through the headphones. They work with my Iphone and my laptop so it is not a headphone problem I think.
@@IslandHome-o5v If you are connected through headphone jack, then you don't need to set the TV to PCM. The headphones might not be properly paired with the transmitter. Try turning Bluetooth OFF on your iPhone and Laptop first before pairing the headphones to the transmitter.
My now resolved issue was when I upgraded my old LCD TV to a new Hisense 55U7N that I connected to an older Yamaha RX-V475 receiver. The audio signal stops when I switched streaming apps (didn't matter if it was Disney+, Hulu, RUclips, Max) and I noticed the sounds stayed on until it tried to sync with Dolby Digital (which my Yamaha receiver can handle). It didn't matter if I set my new TV to pass-through or hard set the audio to PCM or Dolby Digital...I had to toggle audio inputs from Tuner to my TV on my receiver or power off/oh. The fix for me was basic...a new 4k/8k HDMI cable but then I had to hard-set my TV to Dolby Digital vs AUTO and passthrough was OFF.
When electronic devices like TVs and receivers are paired, they communicate their capabilities to each other via HDMI connections. Older HDMI standards often lack the bandwidth and communication protocols needed to handle modern audio formats efficiently, especially in dynamic setups where the audio output rapidly changes, such as switching between different streaming apps. This can lead to interruptions or loss of audio. The solution in your case involved two key adjustments: First, upgrading to a new HDMI cable capable of supporting 4K/8K signals, which ensures that the cable can handle higher bandwidth requirements and more advanced communication standards. This alone sometimes isn't enough if the settings on the devices aren't adjusted to be compatible. Second, manually setting your TV’s audio output to Dolby Digital and turning off the passthrough setting. By doing this, you effectively streamline the audio signal processing path between your TV and receiver. Setting the TV to Dolby Digital forces it to consistently decode audio in a format that your receiver is guaranteed to handle without needing to renegotiate the audio format with each app change, which the AUTO setting would attempt.
But why does it do it? Got mine just before Christmas and it’s already losing sound a few min into watching something. Have to shut it off and put back in for the sound to come back
Unfortunately this is a limitation of the technology right now. If you would like, you can try switching back to Dolby Digital, but this may cause you to lose sound again.
You’re GOATED in 2023 💯 thanks bud

PCM settings did the trick! Thanks for the hint!

Yes already tried all of these basics. still no sound
If you have something plugged into HDMI ARC port, unplug it.
If that still doesn't work, call Hisense support.
There is problem on tv
Well that was pointless. "Reset it or call customer support." Way helpful there.
Yet you failed to think of them yourself :)
Lol what a stupid reply what are you 12 ?
Can't set to PCM ?? Optical output isn't working with my DAC
Hi there! Unfortunately, we can't be sure because it's not our product. We would recommend calling Hisense customer support. Sorry!
But why does it do it? Got mine just before Christmas and it’s already losing sound a few min into watching something. Have to shut it off and put back in for the sound to come back
Not sure which headphone you have. If it is Avantree TV headphones, pls contact support@avantree.com and we will fix it for you.
Why does my tv connect Bluetooth to the receiver but there’s static when the songs is on too ??
Perhaps interference? Try moving your other wireless devices a little further.
but pcm sounds so poor! and no 5.1 seperation it just sounds like normal speaker

Thanks this really helped a lot😁
Hisense no reproduce dolby digital?
not always.
This is for speakers out side tv not inside tv
Please contact Hisense customer support if you are having trouble with the TV's internal speakers.
what if your "device" is an antenna, nothing to control
get a new wire for the antenna or reset your TV
PCM doesn’t do surround sound. Big mistake and terrible choice! This isn’t a solution but a backwoods work around for a few minutes.
oh thanks, i almost threw this tv away
Thank you!
this didnt help
Sorry to hear that. Please contact Hisense customer support if the tips in this video didn't help.
