I had the G8 OLED for a couple of weeks and, like this one, I found the menus to be confusing (especially the HDR settings). I could never get a picture I was happy with across the board and felt I had to make major adjustments for every individual game. I ended up getting the Alienware (DWF) that uses the same panel as the G8, and found it much easier to get a "set it and forget it" HDR picture.
Hey, I just got one and can’t wait for full review to compare it to my first impressions. I’m not sure if I will keep it because of the connections. It sucks that it has only one display port. I did try to use a switch it doesn’t really work. Connecting two computers to it is a problem at least for me. It would be nice to use USB-C as a thunderbolt.
@@TypeCTechReviewsperfecttt timing waiting for it , can you tell me if is possible to play a game on the side and streamed it in the other with obs chat and stuff ??
I have watched over 12 videos on this product and nobody talks about the USB C ports. does it have any? and if yes are they able to charge Macbooks? can someone who owns one please answer this for me. Thank you
They’ve reiterated the design multiple times, check what model you have! This one is specifically the G95SC (with smart hub and a remote), hope that helps 🙏🏽
Seeing as a lot of these have gone on sale recently, I think about $1,200....do you think they are prepping for a new model to be released soon? I'd be curious if a lot of the weird issues and QC problems are resolved. I'd love to add one to my setup, but nervous about these issues getting in the way. Also, does it support thunderbolt usb-c for macs?
@Ideal-Setup the lack of USB C with Display Alt or thunderbolt is a big bummer for me. Last years G8 OLED had 65W capable USB C but this years G80SD lacks this. It seems they have limited this to their Smart and ViewFinity ranges.
@@Times33 Good to know. I'm mainly going to be using an ultrawide for video editing, so been doing a lot of research. Using an M1 Macbook Pro as the main workhorse for now.
@@Guillemod That D model basically same as C series but came with Matte screen, unless you need matte screen then you need to wait Samsung to released it, I think will be similar timing as C series - in month of July 2024.
This isn't an all in one. It has smart tv features like netflix app, youtube tv, cloud gaming and other apps that you can use without the need of a computer, but you still need a computer if you are going to use it as a monitor.
Hey there. I have a big question and no one answer me about this question. I am going to buy monitor lg 24gq50f and this is my question. Is the Display port cable inside the box of monitor is 165hz or I have to buy 165hz display prot by my self?
Anyone else have issues with text clarity on this monitor? For the life of me either on windows or Mac OS my eyes hurt so much trying to do productivity with this 😞
Not for me, this model had nearly perfect text clarity, this is 2nd generation QD-OLED which improving a lot of text clarity compare with 1st gen QD-OLED. All review also said near identical to RGB pixel alignment.
The text is literally horrific that's why im selling my oled g9, text clarity is so bad it causes a headache, i think I'm going to sue Samsung for such junk.
Great review bro. Straight to the point. I’m picking one up today
Getting it for 1k for prime days, can’t wait❤
Did you get it ??
im receiving mine on monday cant wait to try it out
Congratulations! Did you receive it? What was your experience with the aspect ratio/size?
I bought the G9 OLED on May 21st. Still waiting!
Im searching everywhere the wallpaper from this movie thumbnails. I dont know where to find it. Its perfect :(

How is it for the x box game play

2 downstream usb-c ports, 1 upstream, they're 5Gbps (USB 3.2 Gen 1), no it doesn't charge a macbook, check the rtings review
Doesn’t G95SC is the older model with 1ms?
Did they change the design?? Mine is definitely all plastic where yours was metal.

The G95SD will be released this year. Unfortunately no thunderbolt or USB C with PD or Display Alt on this G95SC.

What gpu are you using?
What desk do you have?
Hi. How do you fix the screen shaking at time 8.08? I'm having the same issue as well.
Are the box contents of VA and OLED the same?
just depends on your monitor's ports.you will get a USB c thunderbolt if your monitor has one .
Been debating about the odyssey for a while, but then I saw this. Needs a review! | 49GR85DC-B.AUS | 49” version of the 34” you used to use.
samsung is just about to release the new 2024 odyssey line up....is this the new one or last year's?

You normally have to buy display ports yourself unless it’s a displayport only unit
But 1440 on the vertical.
This guy is cute! Awesome review- trying to convert from a console peasant.
I do not recommend Samsung brand monitors. Tons of QC issues. Weird behavior.
This with a ROG Ally X and I'll be happy
Are there any flat mini led ultrawides
