Have a Samsung 49 Neo G9 which is a 32:9 aspect ratio. After owning it for 2yr now I am going back to 21:9.
32:9 monitors are too wide and you lose A LOT of vertical space. They are good for RACING games but terrible for other genres. Yes, they are good for FPS competitive shooters but you lose vertical view.
I like the LG 45 OLED which is 21:9 and they will released a higher resolution next year, so I will change my Samsung for the 45 21:9 which has far more compatibility for more games as well.

My biggest issue when I had a 32:9 display was literally every game was stretched on the edges of the screen, completely ruined any immersion the extra space gave me

@@drunkhusband6257 Yes, i bought it not thinking that would be an issue but It is. 21:9 has more compatibility to avoid that.

Thank you for the vid Jesse. I have been researching ultrawides for work. My work entails reviewing medical, making reports, working with spreadsheets and research items on the internet. I currently use 2 27 inches monitor and one 32 inch and my laptop screen. Which one would you favor for that type of work?

Great video! Oh man, exactly my scenario: 16:9 (a 2016 60Hz something); got serious and went straight to the G95SC (49" UW Samsung). Not exactly a mistake because I've never experienced OLED nor 240Hz before. Absolutely gorgeous, but productivity suffered at 32:9. I panicked and went back to a 16:9 (LG OLED C4 @144Hz). I missed the 21:9 all together. I swear BB is going to ban me.

No 4K, no buy and I can't believe manufacturers are still producing anything that isn't 4K. 1440p is so yesterday!

It’s OLED… 4k ultra wide panels just don’t exist yet. They haven’t been able to fit enough pixels to make 4k at that size possible

@@JohnWalz97 Yeah, for gamers, it's still more effective to use a large TV if you want 4K resolution. I currently use a LG 48" C1 which has 120Hz, but curved would have been even better.

@@blueferrari397 yeah I’m trying out the lg 48 inch oled monitor and their 45 inch ultra wide oled (the one in the video). I just can’t justify paying 1500 for 1440p when I use it for work and gaming

@@JohnWalz97 Yes, it's a great size for sim racing, but as mentioned, curved would be better.
