    Have a Samsung 49 Neo G9 which is a 32:9 aspect ratio. After owning it for 2yr now I am going back to 21:9.
    32:9 monitors are too wide and you lose A LOT of vertical space. They are good for RACING games but terrible for other genres. Yes, they are good for FPS competitive shooters but you lose vertical view.
    I like the LG 45 OLED which is 21:9 and they will released a higher resolution next year, so I will change my Samsung for the 45 21:9 which has far more compatibility for more games as well.

      45" 21:9 with the full 2160p vertical resolution. QD-OLED gen 3 panel 240hz, DP 2.1 UHBR20 with a glossy or semi-gloss finish. Shutup and take my money I'm not buying another monitor for 10 years!

    Short question: How did you connect the Bose Ultra Open Earbuds to your PC and second, are the Bose Ultra Open Earbuds good for gaming?
    I am thinking about getting them as well for my setup.

    now compare the odyssey neo g9 57'' to these you can run that at 3840x2160 @ 240hz without black bars its max res is 7680x2160 32:9 update I see you did a video on it already I love this monitor I don't think I would switch to anything else unless we get 5120x2160 @ 240hz oled next year at 45'' or at least the samsung 57'' g9 neo in oled

    I need the comparison between the LG vs the Samsung 57, I'm getting a new monitor and can't decide between this two, one is larger the other one is oled. Can't make up my mind 😅😅

    • @1.m.r00t
      @1.m.r00t 3 месяца назад +1

      Yeah, it's tough, I'm currently testing out both, both are great, but I don't like that many games don't support 32:9 and it just leaves black bars on the sides, also no movies at all support 32:9, same black bars. I could be Ok with it, but when watching or playing the same stuff on the LG 45 inch, it fits the whole screen perfectly and it becomes much bigger than the same stuff on the samsung with black bars.
      On the other hand, there are some games that support 32:9 and it does look great, although I'm not sure it's worth the tradeoff. But productivity is better on the samsung, as you simply have more space for windows and it's like a big wide canvas, so I would say samsung is better for productivity, LG is better for entertainment.

    • @TheLDunn1
      @TheLDunn1 4 месяца назад +2

      I think the Samsung 57” ultra wide would work best in your scenario.
      I’ve been a professional engineer for over 3 decades, so in Excel daily since 1992, & viewing CAD, and having browser windows open extracting info from databases etc while also having email open constantly for monitoring and comms. Up to around 2008, we only had single monitors, but I bought my own 24” monitors around 2008 to use at home AND at work, so became very used to a multi monitor setup since that time frame, and when we went from desktops to laptops, that meant I usually had 3 screens available. I took a very early retirement a few months back, but have been contemplating the Samsung 57” ultra wide for personal use, if I’d still been working, I would have bought the Samsung 57” for sure by now.
      The Samsung 57” for productivity use like yours would be great, because it’s not just the size and form factor, it’s also the resolution on that monitor.
      Only reason I’ve so far held off buying the 57” is because it’s colour gamut is a bit weak vs some competition, and for personal use I would be using it for video & photo editing. Also, if you look at their 49” range, it went from LCD to OLED, so I’m thinking / hoping that if I wait until 2025, Samsung might introduce a high res 57” OLED version, which might be better for colour gamut and accuracy……but, for spreadsheet type use, emails and viewing multiple browser windows, the mini LED of the current 57” version might actually be better even if they do announce an OKED version (there is no report that they will yet).

    Great video! Oh man, exactly my scenario: 16:9 (a 2016 60Hz something); got serious and went straight to the G95SC (49" UW Samsung). Not exactly a mistake because I've never experienced OLED nor 240Hz before. Absolutely gorgeous, but productivity suffered at 32:9. I panicked and went back to a 16:9 (LG OLED C4 @144Hz). I missed the 21:9 all together. I swear BB is going to ban me.
