@@jbrubin8274I was a little bit scared of the Daleks back when I was 9 years old when Doctor Who was revived that year. Especially when Dylan impersonated a Dalek crying out "EXTERMINATE!" several times, I ran off scared wondering what he was going to do to me if he got me! lol😂

I'm pretty sure that those children in the audience were as scared as heck when they heard that Dalek tell them that they have the building surrounded. I would be scared too!

My son was 5 he was petrified when the dalek pointed at us. He's 19 now and at uni but this was a night we will always remember. Absolutely incredible!!
The fact that they could not only get Nicholas Briggs to voice the Daleks over a loud speaker, but also get Julian Bleach into his Davros makeup and prosthetics for this is amazing. It shows that they really are back at it.
I think the davros wasnt actually Julian bleach, because when the mouth moves its slightly out of time and the way he moved seemed very robotic, unlike how Julian bleach moved as davros also the voice was probably him just the body wasn't him.

at the beginning of the thing, when the daleks first came out i saw one kid who looked REALLY concerned

Maybe I'm reading too deeply into it but, within the scene presented onstage, is anyone else terrified for the musicians? The Daleks are right there, "watching" them, making sure they only perform "the music of destruction". That's freaky as hell. It's like when a dictatorship rises in a country and takes the arts, which an express the most beautiful aspects of the human soul, and forces the creators to use their crafts to show only ugly darkness instead.

For those of you who don't know, Dalek conditioning involves giving the subject a Dalek cookie every time they cooperate. Do this enough times, and pretty soon you won't even need an actual cookie. You just say the word "cookie", and they'll immediately start playing Dalek music.

We all had that face as kids watching the Daleks on TV.
Even as an adult they're still kinda scary. There's just something really wrong about them.
I think they were modelled on Nazis yet somehow they manage to be more frightening. At least we could beat the Nazis and they couldn't drop an emergency temporal shift or something.

+Yoda on DMT I'm pretty sure that Terry Nation (inventor of the Daleks) influenced them on Nazis. I seem to remember either watching a video about it or reading about it. It was years later that he admitted it because in the 60s the war crimes of World War 2 were still fresh in people's minds so people could have taken offense to it and could have stopped Daleks from appearing in Doctor Who

We had 'Allo 'Allo, Dad's Army and all sorts that sent up things from WWII.
It's how we used to be. Don't cry about it, laugh about it. It's what gets the British through all the crap we've had to deal with.
I really love the episode with sarah jane and all them, because it shows how scary the daleks are when they hear a dalek transmission and immediately give up

Depends which Daleks you ask. To some, he's the lord and master of all Daleks as he's the creator, to others he's equally worthy of being destroyed because he isn't a Dalek. Also, whether the Daleks all accept it or not, he has proven himself time and time again to be their lord and master; most uprises against him fail, and when they do succeed, they revive him later because they need him.

@mgfaxlad Dr Who has now been going for about 45+ years and spans three generations. It's getting better all the time. I love the look on the childrens faces when they see "Real" Daleks. My wife is a home carer, and looks after a 94 year old man; who was so engrossed in Dr Who on the TV; that he wouldn't have his dinner at the table as he normally did. That is the measure of the success of this fantastic series. It's great to see some of the oldies like Eric Sykes acting in it too.

When i first time saw dalek, i thought "what a stupid can?" and i just laughed at it... now i would be among "scared kids", if I ever met a dalek or cyberman. I'll start looking for weapon first. Really great work, these creatures.
