Why the 10th Doctor was exceptionally emotional about his regeneration: 1. He died alone. 2. He had the fewest lifespan compared to the other doctors. 3. This was the regeneration when he remebered who he really is: The Doctor: a man of mercy and has the power to heal time (Credits to Donna). Appearantly, his previous self emerged from war and had a hard time forgiving himself and becoming who he used to be. 4. This was the regeneration when he grew more mature and this part of his character echoes through his next two regenerations. 5. Now that he has forgiven himself, he could've done more with that regeneration. Like he said: even though he's still the same man when he regenerates, it's still feels like a different man takes over him and saunter on his grave.

I kinda disagree with that because 11th mentions new regenerations in Let's Kill Hitler and Nightmare in Silver. It doesn't seem he knew at this point it was his last possible regeneration.
That may be so, but if you look at it from another perspective, 5 was them trying to make him young for the first time. 10 they were showing how old he really is, but he really tried to be young and happy again for the people he loved and his family.

Shane Hazelwood here was an interview with a singer called Toyah Wilcox who was a Dr Who fan & saw the 1st regeneration. She said at first she hated Troughton at first but grew to love him. So nothing has changed really.
They may *or may not) have known that William Hartnell had been very unwell for some time, and had to give up the role. So somebody then came up with the brilliant idea that the Doctor could change his physical appearance and persona. William H's 1st Doctor could only appear in "The Three Doctors" on the Tardis monitor, for the same reason. In "twice upon a time" with Peter Capaldi, I thought David Bradley was a great likeness for William H, and I like the transition from leaving his 12th incarnation, to return to the Tardis & his 2 companions in "The tenth planet" part 4......,,and collapse, and then regenerate into the 2nd Doctor.
I always think that wherever each of the Doctors actors are nowdays - I'm sure that a small part of them would have loved to hear that kind of cheer when each of them came up on the screen.

Looking back in Tenth's regeneration I think he just could crawl to his tardis but he saw the Ood and tried to get himself together and show some dignity and strenght
1st,4th,7th,8th,10th,11th are my favorite, and even then there has never been a bad actor to play the Doctor. I also think Peter Capaldi will be able to get on my list since he's a terrific actor.

I wonder what peoples reactions where when the doctor first changed bet they didnt really understand what happend to begin with.
Shane Hazelwood here was an interview with a singer called Toyah Wilcox who was a Dr Who fan & saw the 1st regeneration. She said at first she hated Troughton at first but grew to love him. So nothing has changed really.
They may *or may not) have known that William Hartnell had been very unwell for some time, and had to give up the role. So somebody then came up with the brilliant idea that the Doctor could change his physical appearance and persona. William H's 1st Doctor could only appear in "The Three Doctors" on the Tardis monitor, for the same reason.
In "twice upon a time" with Peter Capaldi, I thought David Bradley was a great likeness for William H, and I like the transition from leaving his 12th incarnation, to return to the Tardis & his 2 companions in "The tenth planet" part 4......,,and collapse, and then regenerate into the 2nd Doctor.
I always think that wherever each of the Doctors actors are nowdays - I'm sure that a small part of them would have loved to hear that kind of cheer when each of them came up on the screen.
from 4th onwards theyre still with us, and I would like to think theyd be pleased!

i watched matt as the doctor when i started the series. then i watched it in right order . somehow david's doctor leaves something. He just seems .. right. Matt is good though . but david was the best.

Looking back in Tenth's regeneration I think he just could crawl to his tardis but he saw the Ood and tried to get himself together and show some dignity and strenght
David leaving was heart breaking for me, legit adore him as the doctor, cry every time I watch that scene
1st,4th,7th,8th,10th,11th are my favorite, and even then there has never been a bad actor to play the Doctor. I also think Peter Capaldi will be able to get on my list since he's a terrific actor.

if anyone wonders why david tennant / 10th doctor always says "i dont wanna go" is because he only spent 6 years in that reeincarnation, thats a really small time if you consider that the doctor is around 2000 years old (capaldi time)
that was also his last regeneration as well (at least it was until the time Lord's gave him a new cycle)

Corey Lewis no it was 6 years. a rough estimate but yeah around 6 years he was the 10th Doctor chronologically making him his youngest incarnation. to put it in perspective, the 11th doctor was around for near 1000 since he stayed in the town of Christmas for 900 years, with the doctor being around 2000 years old
Michael Knight I suppose, but he'd still be extremely young as the other incarnations of the Doctor lasted around the same time as his 10th (11th counting War Doctor)
